First time at Flame Broiler! The place is clean and the staff are friendly and provided good service. We had the medium chicken teriyaki bowl with veggies and sauce on the side for less than $15- the chicken had a very smoky bbq flavor with teriyaki cause, very small amount of veggies but overall a good place!

I love locations that have offers to attract students, especially being next to a university. On mondays they have discounted chicken bowl and on fridays you get a free drink. Now on to the food. The meat is great quality and the service is super fast. The meat is nice and tender and well seasoned. Combined with their signature sausage this is such a filling great meal. The tofu here is really delicious too. Overall great place with great fast food and deals for students!

Photo sh9ws they have stay safe certificate. Manager was not wearing a mask or gloves as he was preparing our food.

Update!!!! After not a great experience with one employee and after not only talking to the owner about what happened it several times and Listening to his passion and love for our community and his dedicated customers I 100% reccomend Ricky Sooter as the owner of 2 Flame broilers to be the most hands on, kind and caring business owner. He listened to every word and took action immediately. I wasn't expecting this at all We have been dining there for 2 years with no issue just great healthy food. As I further learned about who the owner is, i discovered a man of respect, a daddy of a 2 year old, a man who drives DAILEY from San Diego just to make sure his customers and his staff are happy. We will continue to enjoy both his locations for many years and i hope you will too.

Quick Review; Soft spot for teriyaki bowls, this spot might hit the spot. A big chain like Flame Broiler can only do so much to impress. You expect average and you get it here, maybe a notch above. This location is as good as any. I usually get the half and half chicken steak w half rice half veg. Magic sauce and scallions is a must. The meats are over cooked (of course) and not top notch (obviously). But it good enough. I've never had to spit out anything , which should tell you something I suppose. Seating outside. Staff is ok. Mini bar for sauces. Fountain drinks and fridge w canned stuff. Place is fairly clean. It's a fast food joint imo so your expectations need to be set before you come here. But I've come back a couple times so it's all good to me.

First time here, and it definitely won't be my last…read more The food was flavorful, freshly made, and hit the spot. My coworkers ordered the Chicken Gangjeong in both the Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy flavors. I only had a bite of each, but both were juicy and seemed to be made with dark meat chicken. The Soy Garlic was actually sweeter than the Sweet & Spicy, which caught me off guard, while the Sweet & Spicy had more of a mild heat than an overwhelming kick. I ordered the Grandma Tteokbokki at spice level 2 and added melted cheese and ramen. Those add-ons were absolutely worth it. The cheese made the sauce extra creamy, while the ramen soaked up all of the flavor and turned it into a hearty, comforting meal. Spice level 2 had a nice kick without overpowering the dish, making it easy to enjoy from start to finish. Overall, everything we tried was satisfying, and I'd happily come back to work my way through more of the menu. If you're ordering the tteokbokki, I definitely recommend adding the cheese and ramen--you won't regret it.

The Rose was really good, but it was a little too rich for me. I personally preferred the Grandma Tteokbokki. I also liked the larger tteok over the mini tteok because it was softer and chewier. Adding ramen and cheese is a must! The cashier was also really nice. Even though he was new, he was able to answer all of our questions and provided excellent service. The restaurant was super clean, organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we make a trip to SoCal!

I mixed up the chili sauce with some chili oil, and it hit the spot. I also grabbed a Large Milk Tea with Boba for an extra $5, it definitely hit the sweet spot while dipping hot pot items! Service was quick, and the staff brought out extra meat orders right away whenever we asked. I came in for the lunch special, since I'm pescatarian, I asked our waiter if the soup broth for the Miso base had meat to which he replied he wasn't sure. I asked the same for the Tom Yum to which he replied "No it doesn't" so I ordered it. It was fun to go to the self serve stations to pick up my toppings, everything was neat, organized and clean. The entire process was fun and interactive, the place itself has a very cool vibe to it as well. I also ordered a Jasmine Green Tea that was delicious & refreshing. Unfortunately, the fun stopped there. I was glancing the menu as I was almost done eating just for fun when I noticed under the soups section it said "all broths contain pork" but I figured it was fine since I had confirmed with our waiter that the broth I chose had no meat. Just to be certain, I asked him again, I said "the Tom Yum broth doesn't contain pork right?" to which he replied "Yes it does because all our broths do." I'm not sure what the miscommunication was but this experience really left me feeling blind sighted & quite frankly upset... I understand I missed it on the menu but I did verify with our waiter who gave me false information. Overall, extremely disappointing for me, I've been pescatarian for 11 years, this situation should have been avoided.

It was quite a trek to get here. It's in the middle of the west Valley. No easy freeway access…read more There's quite a few businesses in this strip mall. Parking spaces are super tiiiiiiight. I didn't see any ADA parking at all. We were happy with what we got. Pork belly with umami gravy bowl and added 4 pc "eggroll" aka lumpia. It was really 2 lumpia cut in half. I probably should have ordered a full side but it was a perfect amount. Lumpia was super crispy on the outside. Very flavorful without being overly garlicky or seasoned. Came with sweet chili sauce. Chicken longanisa. It said ground chicken so I was expecting crumbled meat. It was formed into a patty. Very tender and delicious. Also served on rice with egg over easy, scallions and pickled vegetable. Since it was our first time here I got the two bun combo with pork belly and angus burger. Pork belly had a little kick in the sauce. The bao bun was a nice compliment so it wasn't too spicy. 2 slices of cucumber also in the bun to help cut the spice. The angus burger had a creamy mayo sauce with sautéed mushrooms and half cooked onions. Not what I expected but definitely would get again. The side of fries were thin, crispy and very well seasoned. There's not a lot of counter service. You order at a machine. I had to wait because I wanted a printed receipt. As far as I could see, only 2 people working. They brought our food to the table and that guy was very nice and cordial as we asked for a few more things. No one was eating there. Saw about 3 people order take out. Plenty of tables and a picnic table for seating. I definitely loved the wall decor and the clock was my favorite! They had Chinese, Korean and Japanese on the wall. I didn't see any Tagalog where I was sitting but I think that's the main Asian influence.

The flavor profile is amazing and super comforting. Pro-tip: order extra protein, because you're definitely going to want more pork belly! The setup inside is pretty standard with around 10 tables, and the staff is always really friendly and great at suggesting their top sellers. Quick heads-up on parking: the lot is pretty small and cramped. If you're picking up a quick takeout order, you might find yourself popping your hazards on while you dash inside. Prices could be a tiny bit better, but the quality, filling portions, and flavor make it a spot I'll always return to.

We called and placed a phone order on Saturday morning around 11:30am. We ordered the bulgogi…read moreritto, and the fried shrimp ritto. The woman on the phone gave us an estimated wait time of 10 minutes. When we arrived, we quickly noticed how small the parking lot was. There were only two spots opened. I'm not sure what it would have looked like if we came during rush hour, but at least there was spots for us to park in. When we got inside it was pretty small with about 15 seats available for dine in. There was one other party there at the same time we were. Once we paid, we saw the fried shrimp coming from out of the kitchen, so we knew ours were almost ready since they just needed to wrap them up. This place was the definition of a local mom and pop business. Mom was running the cash register, and Pop was in the kitchen. They were two of the sweetest people. She even came out to the dining area to hand us our food, rather than screaming at us from behind the counter. We drove home (5 mins away), and I unpacked the food to find that each box was labeled. It probably wasn't necessary since we could very clearly see which was shrimp and which was bulgogi but I appreciated the small touches. My partner and I each had one half of the shrimp and one half of the bulgogi and it as unanimous that our favorite was the fried shrimp. They do include a sauce that has the slightest kick, but in my opinion it was the best kind of spicy where it isn't painful and it's actually quite pleasant, complimenting the fried shrimp very well. Overall - we are so glad we tried this little local spot. The fried shrimp ritto was so good, I want to try other items, but I know I'll be craving that fried shrimp ritto again.

I called in to order takeout of a fried chicken and bulgogi "ritto" for two. It was a fast, delicious lunch! A 'ritto is a "burrito" style wrap-- white rice with seasoned protein, kimchi, special mayo, + optional chili all wrapped in Korean seaweed. The burrito itself is a bit fragile since it's large and the seaweed is the nice thin kind, so it's nice to eat it with a fork over a plate/box so you don't miss any bites I like a seaweed wrap which is fewer carbs than a flour/corn tortilla. The white rice is fluffy and sticky (all good things). The special mayo did it for me. The lettuce (romaine?) was crispy and fresh. There's space to sit inside if you want to dine in, and parking is easy as there's a lot. Located at the corner of Saticoy and Winnetka. Price is comparable to other protein-packed sandwiches in the Valley. And I like supporting local businesses that make yummy food. Looking forward to coming back soon.
