Fixed price based on what I described we had to move. I conferred w Nancy via phone, text, email. 4% fee if credit card is used. $200 deposit, can pay by cash/check/Venmo or Zelle. I used a cash app. There's no written contract. Moving day: Last month: movers Bao & Deng, don't speak English but seemed to understand us. Owner/supervisor Nancy came to out house to see, a surprise! Their moving truck was clean. Moved items from house and storage facility. They padded and plastic wrapped bigger items like sofa, dresser, desk, etc. They are efficient and know their stuff - what would've taken me and my family 3-4 hours to move they finished in 30 minutes! Nothing broken, nothing damaged. Payment: $200 cash tip each. $2,100 final payment via Cash App. Reliable, efficient movers, would use them again!

Adam was great explaining all the details during the booking process and what we could expect on our moving days. Fast forward to the day and our moving team showed up on time and ready to go. We booked full packing services and the guys jumped right in and got going on packing everything in a super professional manner. Our belongings were packing with a lot of care into boxes and furniture wrapped super well to prepare for a few months of storage and then a long distance move. The guys really went above and beyond to pack our pods really efficiently and maximized every bit of space. With that said we didn't end up having enough room so we scrambled and Adam made a storage and moving solution work for us for what we had remaining. It was a relief to have a versatile company step up and help with what could have been a huge problem for us. Would definitely recommend these guys especially for packing and moving, they work hard and really strive to do a good job. Shoutout to Islambek, Alex, Rinat (Ryan), & Dmitry for everything!

They provided an estimate with an upper maximum limit that we were comfortable with. Arrangements were made via email and over the phone, and the office staff were always courteous and responsive. We needed to get the things moved within a few weeks and they were willing and able to come based on our schedule. The team of four were on time and they were incredibly agile and strong. On moving day we received text updates on their arrival time. The team communicated and worked well with each other. They were fastidious about keeping track of their time, which we appreciated. For example, they stopped for lunch and deducted their time from the total. The movers were extremely careful and I was amazed at how efficient they were. They wrapped and boxed up items carefully so that nothing would be damaged. I was impressed watching them in action. A piano and pool table were included in the move and they had to navigate a few steps for these heavy items. Lots of heavy woodworking equipment was also moved and they placed it in the destination workshop in an organized fashion. We were totally satisfied with the results and appreciate their kind demeanor and strong work ethic. Thank you so much, Impel!

Additional there is a min 30 min travel time charge which would be an additional $65 for this move. Not using them! This also appears to be illegal in California "Unfair Competition Law (UCL): Charging for a service not rendered (like fuel not used) can be argued as "unfair or deceptive" under California Business and Professions Code § 17200, especially if the surcharge is used as a hidden profit center rather than a cost recovery tool." Below is a reply and here is my response: The information about the fuel fee was presented to be based on a percentage of the total move time. Not your actual cost, which I would have been okay with. I'm not asking for anything to be waived, just transparency. Your remarks about your family are completely out of line. It's clear you want to change the subject from your questionable practice and make this personal. It is not personal. I don't know you other than how you have presented your business here. Very Questionably. I see you removed your statements about your family business. I provided the law that it appears you are not following in a private message.     Senior Settlers saved the day. We had to deal with a large home in Mill Valley that have been well…read morelived in for 37 years and was chalk full of stuff. Libby Wood came out and started getting us organized from the get go, she handled everything; the planning the passing out of stuff that deciding of what should go wear, she helped us on every front imaginable. When it came time to deal with the rest of the items in the house, a staggering amount of stuff, Libby and her crew showed up precisely on time and got straight to work; sorting, stacking, packing and moving -- I have seldom seen a more efficient group of people at work, a real team of professionals. Our experience was fantastic, we looked at each other several times during this move and said "thank goodness for Libby". I can't possibly say enough nice things or recommend her and her team at Senior Settlers highly enough. They are worth every penny - and more. Save yourself headache and heartache by leaning on this amazing resource.

She had a TON of junk that needed to be sorted, some moved, some to a storage unit, some to donation and some to landfill. The people who came were wonderful. They were cheerful and efficient and moved her stuff from one place to another on one day. Set everything up, including folding clothes, handing pictures and making up the bed. She was able to walk into her new home and have it look like her old home, which really reduced her stress level. The next day, they sorted out everything else into storage, donation and junk, and had her old room totally cleaned out. They put all the storage into a new storage unit - wonderfully neat! And, they came in under the estimate!! Really, you cannot go wrong with these folk.

Despite the conditions, they were positive and efficient; even a stubborn king-sized bed required a master-level disassembly, and they handled it with aplomb. Also, setting up the move was long-time J&D employee Mike, who was completely professional and spot-on with the very reasonable cost estimate, even with the horrible weather. Hats off to these three and J&D (who had ironically moved OUT the previous tenant in our new location) - nothing was a slam dunk about this move, but they certainly made it seem that way.

The second quote was for 12K to move two miles. The first move was from San Francisco to San Rafael. It was about 30 boxes and some very small furniture and clothing. Excect on moving day the guys did not bring wardrobe boxes, so my husband had to bring all of our clothes in the car. No apology, no adjustment to the bill. A few days ago we moved from a small two bedroom condo to a single level home 2 miles away. We asked them to pack and unpack. I was told by Michael that they would pack and unpack for us. We are an older couple, both with injuries and so we were looking forward to the help. We were booked with 7 guys for 71/2 to 81/2 hours over two days. The move started off bad, as we were told they "don't really unpack as they are not organizers." We were confused as we were led to believe they would put some stuff away, which apparently they do to some extent. I asked them to simply label the boxes from where they took them. E.g. "Master bathroom vanity drawer." They did not really label stuff and to be honest, they just threw a lot of stuff in boxes. So when they got to the new place they did not know where to put some of the boxes and it was pretty clear they did not care. By 12:30 on the first day, Ronaldo (lead guy) informs me he can't complete the move that day. I asked why and he said several times, "Are you cool with paying me overtime? If I don't stop now it's time-and a half." At the same time he was also saying he did not want a long day on the second day of the move. So I contacted Michael who said he would talk to Ronaldo. Keep in mind, I'm there alone, while my husband is in the new place. Ronaldo is pissed at this point and tells his team they have to "Move this Sh__ !" I felt really uncomfortable. So they had no problem at all moving everything over to the new place. I think they left around 4:00 after taking a 25 minute break in the morning and at least 45 minutes for lunch, which I supplied and they seemed to feel entitled to. The next day they showed up at 8:15 to unpack. It was a joke. They stained the wall from moving. My husband just had it painted and it not take a picture, so we can't file a claim. He did get them to help put stuff away, but they mostly put stuff where ever they wanted and it was random as they did not label boxes correctly. They were gone bynoon however, so no one had a long day, expect us, as we are still trying to figure out where our stuff is days later.
