As I prepared to move to a different city, all my friends had horror stories to share about their own moving experiences. Since this was my first time ever moving, you can imagine all the possible nightmares that ran through my mind. I was fully prepared for mishaps and disasters, thanks to all the bad moving stories my friends had implanted into my brain. However, the guy from Flagship Movers arrived -- to my surprise -- on time, and put the icing on the cake with his kind, friendly, cheerful attitude that quickly uplifted our dreadful moods. He made us feel truly cared for, as customers and people with his kind, easy-going personality and eager-to-please attitude. As he packed up our belongings with diligence, I wondered how he managed to keep such a positive attitude. He even put up with my crazy cats (and wiener dog) running through the house, getting in the way while he continued to pack away our belongings, never appearing to become agitated with them. Nice personality and attitude traits aside (they really were impressive), I was able to breathe a sigh of relief once our things were not only tediously and carefully packed up, but also moved into our new place before night even approached! The fellas who came to help us move showed excellent skill, including communicating well with us regarding how we wanted our belongings packed, and what we might want to leave out (to use during the time it took to haul.) In fact, I felt like the mover packaged and hauled our belongings taking care of them as if they were his own. Our mover exercised visible caution as he handled and moved our belongings, carefully packaging every item neatly. The guy working our move used packaging specifically for certain items, such as dish packs for dishes and glass-ware that kept all of our things beyond safe and secure on their ride. Not only was everything placed in packaging tailored perfectly and specifically to fit them, but Flagship Movers' color-coding technique made un-packing almost a pleasure instead of the complete disaster we'd expected it to be. The contents in each box were all listed and color-coded, according to what room the contents belong in -- a technique every moving service should start incorporating. He worked quickly and professionally, so the entire move was completed in a timely manner, which never would've happened without his help. One of the horror stories a friend shared with me was that during her last move, the movers man-handled her belongings, resulting in broken decorations, so seeing the extra care care that was put into handling our belongings, I breathed a sigh of relief. Best of all, everything was completed in the first day! I'd never heard of this happening, so having the entire move complete that soon was amazing, and we're forever grateful to Flagship Movers for their excellent work. I actually used Greg to pack my rather large house for a cross country move. (Don't think the other one star reviewer used him.) He and his crew were the nicest guys ever, his crew was very professional, generous and kind (I had kids running around, and they chatted and played with them a bit). They packed my house perfectly in a way that I never could have done myself. Glass shelves were secured, cardboard wrapped, plastic wrapped. When the van lines finally arrived, they were impressed. They complimented me on how organized everything was. The boxes had been labeled, ready to arrange and unpack once we arrived. I found him to be very very honest. I had small amounts of cash lying around and falling out of drawers here and there--kids, over the years--and they stacked it in a pile and joked when they found another $1 or $5. They arrived on time and worked really hard until 7pm. It was a huge job. But their swift work stayed swift until the end. His bid matched the final result, also matched the other bids I'd gotten, and to me, it was a fair deal. It was the same amount as Pack Attack said they'd be, but the people at Pack Attack were a little gruff and not too supportive, harsh on the phone. I bet they were terrific packers, but moving is too stressful! When you are moving, you need a nice soul, who is mellow, always cheerful, generous, always ready to lend a hand, and has patient grounded workers. That's Flagship. Bottom line: Using Greg saved me money, calmed my nerves, and was literally the best favor I ever did myself. I have recommended him to my friends. He really takes the stress out of moving. We just used Greg and his team for a move from SF up to Marin. As I told Greg, we've moved many times over the past 10 years and no mover has ever come close to Flagship. Their work was done professionally and efficiently - absolutely a highly experienced team that worked extremely well together. They were all extremely thoughtful throughout the entire process (which was a sizable, 2-day move), asking questions where appropriate rather than simply plowing ahead in an effort to make their job easier. We found Greg through a recommendation from a storage company we were using. We were so thankful that we did. He very carefully got our stuff from our apartment into storage in the middle of an epic rainstorm and then "tetrised" everything into the space so it fit perfectly. He then literally coordinated a cross-country move for us from Berkeley after we had already moved to the east coast. He helped us identify a freight company, coordinated our moving supplies and took care of everything at the storage facility. Greg and his crew moved me just a few days ago and they were great! They showed up on time (even a few minutes early), they were careful, thorough and hands down the nicest, friendliest crew I've ever had the pleasure of working with. My house was not an easy one to navigate as I had a ton of stairs and lived on a narrow road. Greg and his team were super!!! They helped us pack and move 2 26 foot vans from Marin County to Arizona. They arrived on time each day, very carefully packed our delicate and sometimes challenging items, and everything arrived in great shape. Greg was recommended to me by the U-Haul people on Shoreline- I was making an emergency move, home and business, and needed to vacate as quickly as possible. Greg and Chris are amazing--fast, efficient, effective. They can get more stuff into a normal size truck than anyone I have ever seen. They packed our storage locker and our whole house in less than five hours. Got everything into a truck that was a size smaller than we thought we needed. That alone more than paid for their cost. We were supposed to pick up the truck at 8:30, but it didn't arrive until 1:00. Not a problem. Greg said they had reserved the whole day for us. But we still only paid for actual time spent. This is several months late, but I feel strongly about this review. Greg and his crew emptied my packed storage unit and moved it into my new house, which has a long uphill walkway and stairs, in an unbelievably short amount of time.
