I dropped in for the patio and stayed for the food. Never expected outstanding Mediterranean in the middle of Andersonville. Reminds me of a secret garden with fantastic food ! read more

My wife and two teenaged daughters just finished eating at Fiya. It was wonderful! Our 13 year old declared the food "the best she has had in months". The tomato soup, the kofta, and the gravalax were particularly good. We highly recommend Fiya! read more

Great restaurant the food was something new for me but so delicious and they have an amazing patio! Definitely will be coming back!

The love the owners and chef have for Israeli food comes out in every dish. We ordered for a group picnic and everything was ready on time and in perfect order. Every dish was inventive and very original. Standouts were the watermelon salad, charred cauliflower, Moroccan fish and olive oil and fig cake. read more

Wow. I visited FIYA a few days ago for dinner. I sat on the back patio which is amazing. The food was spectacular, seriously one of the best dinners I've ever had. I had the Moroccan fish dish and it was amazing. The wait staff are very courteous and friendly. As I exited the building I told the host, "don't ever close!" read more

If I were just thinking of the food and the ambiance I would give a rating of 41/2 but the service ws horrible. The waiter never paid attention to us, basically scolded us when we asked questions about the food. Kept telling us to read the menu. We were there to celebrate a birthday and he seemed to not want to engage with us. Maybe he was overworked and had too many tables but he certainly didn't make the evening enjoyable. The restaurant has a great outdoor space and the front area opens to the outside. Small menu but everything we had was delicious. Highly recommend the asparagus. A 20% tip was automaticallyy added to the bill because we were a table of 6 and then when we got the credit card slip to sign it asked for an additional tip to be added if we so chose. If the waiter was good I would have added an extra tip but instead I was offended because I didn't believe he deserved the 20% tip that was automatically included. Maybe that is why he didn't care about us since he knew he would get 20% no matter what. read more

The food, service and atmosphere are incredible. A great place for a date as all the food are shared plates. Best Middle Eastern food I've had outside of the Middle East!!! read more

Service was mediocre. My friend and I both had the falafel and one drink. $$73.00. We were not paying attention when the server swiped our cards. We were both being nice to give him 22% because the the pandemic, but we think he added a few dollars or gave us the wrong check. I hate when servers use the hand held Point of Sale systems. Food was ok, but not 36.5 for a bloody mary and a pita sandwich (per person) it a much for Brunch. We should have gone to Broadway Cellars. read more

Ventured out for a change to try this new place and couldn't be happier with our experience. We ordered to share the Chickpea Hummus, chicken schnitzel sandwich with fresh vegetables and the beef pomegranate sandwich, both on homemade pita bread. OMG!! The best hummus we've ever had! Rich and creamy. The sandwiches were huge and absolutely delicious! We had to bring a lot of it home because we couldn't finish it all and we can't wait to dig into it for dinner! Keep in mind, they just opened and they are adhering to Covid regulations. Service was great! Friendly staff and the back patio is just as lovely as ever. Get in there!!! read more

We were a party of eight. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The food came to the table, but no sign of drinks for a long time. So I reminded the waiter about our drinks. He said he would check but that they were understaffed so it was taking longer. Fair point. As he was leaving, I joked to the waiter that drinks is where they make the money. 15 minutes later the manager (at least that's who she said she was) came by with a very aggressive attitude to tell us that they were short staffed and the problem was that we ordered too many different drinks. We told her that we may have, but that they screwed up our drink orders anyways (which we did not complain about) and we did not get what we ordered. She then said she was informed by her staff that I abused the waiter. So we had the waiter come by and he repeated what I said about they make money on drinks. I asked how that was abuse. no answer. But, by this time she was visibly angry, got into a shouting match, asked us to leave immediately (or she would call the cops), and for good measure, called us "M F^%#$^" on our way out. Oh, by the way, the food wasn't great. read more

Everything was delicious, fresh. Homemade pitas, fantastic fries. Pita sandwiches with layers of flavor. Can't wait to return. I doubt you can go wing with this menu. We got fresh squeezed OJ, bacon lamb pita, sabich pita(eggplant plus lots of other). Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked good. read more

Had an excellent experience at Fiya. The food was delicious. The outdoor patio is a lovely, quiet oasis. The service was great. The restaurant generously let us hang out at our patio table long after we finished eating (until closing!) and did not pressure us to leave. read more

This place is fantastic. We lived in Israel a few years ago and this is the best pita bread we've ever had in our lives!

I got the smoked salmon and a salad. The sandwich was delicious and the salad was very good. The ambiance is average nothing extravagant and the service was prompt and available. The portion could've been a little bigger but overall a great experience. read more

We had the pickled watermelon (which was good) but seemed to be slightly over priced. Not sure if it was actually pickled. But the Moroccan fish and the chicken schnitzel sandwich was on point and very good. They said the fish was spicy but I didn't think it was overpowering. Definitely recommend. Outside the ambiance was very relaxing and our server was very attentive and friendly. read more

Undeniably great food. Poor customer facing staff. Out of the servers mouth tonight - "Not boxing your food or bussing let's me be lazy." This is the third poor serving experience here. Fiya, I don't want you to close, just fix this. It's not about the cost, it's about the experience at this level. Level up and shalom. read more

Great new restaurant! So glad we went. Amazing fresh food, including made from scratch hummus and pita. Loved the Salatim and the shnitzel sandwich. Love the beer and wine selection. Gorgeous outdoor patio and amazing atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

Though we had enjoyed our first visit, our most recent experience was terrible. The service was poor, the food was not nearly as good as the first time. One of our dishes was just forgotten, others were served cold, and the manager was not helpful at all. He mentioned they were under new ownership and had a new chef, and I was not surprised. So if you've been before, I would recommend not returning for a while, at least until they sort out these issues. The pita bread was excellent and the cocktails were quite good. The "falafel" plate was an absolute joke however -- a tiny tiny portion for the price. read more

Bread is unreal but the Kofta wasn't very good and the price was excessive. $18 for 3 meatballs? I will try more before grading lower. If you want better Kefta/kofta there are plenty of options south in Clark. read more

Good food at a reasonable price. Lots of variety, and two different khachapuri dishes! The outdoor personal igloos were beyond awesome. It was very nice to be able to go out to eat right now and stay isolated from the rest of the restaurant. When we went, it was actually raining as compared to snowing as you might expect in December, but the igloos served their purpose no matter. read more

Nice setting especially the patio in the summer. The food is okay honestly, nothing exceptional whatsoever.

We carried out from Fiya a bunch of times last year and wanted our first night out post-pandemic to be here. We weren't disappointed! Despite having to adjust to all of the dining restrictions, and all of the human factors (c'mon people, give them a break and try complimenting vs complaining), the food was fantastic, the service was good, and we had a great night. read more

Disappointing. First time great. Second was marginal. Signature dish of whole chicken was so dry, hard to swallow. This time was not great. at 7pm on a Saturday night they were out of too many items on the menu including the signature whole chicken. We saw two go by, but when we sat down, no one told us they were almost out, or to order one right away. Several appetizers also not available and took forever just to get the drinks. The waiter was great. The host was not helpful at all. We ended up eating Cauliflower for dinner. Very good, but not enough. read more

The rudest most unprofessional waiter ever encountered. When we arrived at about 9:45pm we asked the hostess for a menu to see what the fare was like. It was so late and the restaurant was very sparsely filled. The hostess stepped away for several minutes and during her absence my other 2 companions walked to a free table at the edge of the patio and sat since one of their backs was hurting. I remained and waited for the hostess to return at which point I asked her if the table they sat at was ok. And that we would gladly move if she wished us to. She said it was fine. The waiter came and proceeded to inform us in an insulting manner that it was customary to ask the hostess instead of picking our own table. I informed him that even though my party had sat before the hostess came back, I did speak with the hostess and that she said it was ok. At which point he argued with me that I didn't actually speak with the hostess. The idea that this clown of a waiter several times insisted that we lied infuriated me. We would have happily moved had the hostess said she preferred us to sit elsewhere. And had the amateurish waiter simply asked if we had checked with the hostess if sitting there was ok, and then doubled checked with her, he would have realized the full story. But instead of asking the questions in a polite manner, and checking them out and defusing the situation, he insisted we were lying. He needed to feel and express that he was right, even though he wasn't and never took the time to check. We got up and left. We will never go back and after that experience and we will counsel or friends to be wary. We suggest that the owners or management counsel the wait staff on how to treat customers, even if they think the customer might have erred. I can assure you that he wouldn't tolerate that behavior from any other customer service person he would deal with on a routine basis. read more

my girlfriend thinks they were amazing. shakshuka fire. and we liked the bubbles. it was good

This place was quite horrible. The bad service and mediocre food was quite unfortunate. I felt like I was in a diner from 2002, and for the price point wasn't worth it read more

Amazing food and great ambience! Loads of options for vegetarians and kid friendly! Everything we could ask for! They are taking excellent precautions for covid with spacing between tables read more

They have the best food and you get a lot for how cheap it is. I always get the roast chicken pita. Extremely moist and flavorful with some of the best fries I've had. Porch area is in the back but we usually grab takeout! read more

Decent food, really, really slow service and inattentive waiter. Waiter disappeared for 20-30 minutes at a time and getting drinks and food took a really long time. The restaurant automatically added 20% tip to our bill for 6 people and I wonder if that disincentivized the waiter from being more responsive to our table. I understand this is still a very hard time for restaurants, but the service was not great. read more

I went there today, and was asked to show proof of vaccination for Covid. I show my card, and also my wife's card. I then asked to see the waitress' proof of vaccination for covid, she said ok, and never came back to show her proof. I should be able to ask their proof, just as they able to ask for mine. I'm never going back there again. read more

I little gem of a restaurant with great food and amazing vibes! Love their outdoor seating in the back.

We've now ordered takeout three times from FIYA during Covid and it's becoming one of our favorite places. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've gotten the salatim every time with added hummus. The shakshuka khachapur is not to be missed. Can't wait to dine-in once we're through the pandemic. read more

So disappointing. The hostess was cold and unwelcoming. She seated us at a table in blinding sunlight. We asked to be seated elsewhere, but she said the tables were booked, despite an empty restaurant. The place had no color, floors were dirty, a long empty table and chairs next to us were filthy and dusty. Service was indifferent. We ordered the spiced cauliflower on hummus. It was fried in a heavy batter, no spice, served on the most insipid, tasteless hummus we ever tasted. It was served with ONE slightly cold pita which I knew it would be because I watched the guy throw it in the wood (supposed) oven and remove it after literally 5 seconds. Still not hot, an utterly tasteless lump of heavy dough, lacking salt, a bit of char, and flavor. Worst pita ever. After this disaster, we got the check and left. No way would we waste any more money and calories at this joint. read more

I ordered from Doordash because they gave me a coupon. When I got to the restaurant to pick up, I was notified that Fiya cancelled my order. The manager said they no longer offer pick up from Doordash for whatever reason and they've had to contact Doordash constantly. No apologies to me. I would've placed an order directly since I was already there but she didn't even ask if I wanted to do that. This place was a regular for carry out for me in the neighborhood but sadly it is out of my rotation now. read more

Lamb pita with avocado, pickled vegetables, and some sort of yogurty sauced salad on a very dry thick pita was not pleasant to eat. Pita was old; lamb patty things were overcooked, dry and nearly flavorless. Being my first meal out since the pandemic began I was very disappointed. One of the worst meals I have ever had in a restaurant. read more

Great new restaurant that will be immediately added to my rotation. Incredible fresh made pita, authentic Israeli dishes (order the Shashuka!) and a beer list that can compete with any restaurant in the city. Back patio was quaint and is a great addition to Andersonville. read more

Ordered carryout here last night for the first time. Really generous portions and everything was really delicious. I highly recommend. A nice addition to the neighborhood. We had the roasted cauliflower and hummus appetizers. For mains we had 3 of their pita sandwiches and the za'ater fries. My fav was the Sabich (vegetarian) pita. Everything was super flavorful. read more

A new gem in an old spot. Fiya is a fabulous addition to the new neighborhood. Went this evening to check out after walking past several times. Really welcoming vibe and a gorgeous spacious patio in the back. Husband and I ordered several beer flights from their extensive menu (great descriptions to help those of us who don't know a lot about beer!) and ordered the pita with 4 add ons. Delicious and a lovely spot to spend a few hours in the afternoon. Will definitely be back for a full meal! read more
