Well I'm disappointed. For starters I couldn't get a hold of Sam. Tried multiple times. During the curfew in Anaheim that was implemented a couple of weeks back, I dropped my phone....So the guy behind the counter sold me a broken screen. He told me he would switch it upon receiving the new screen for my XR IPHONE. He charged me 120 plus tax I didn't get a call regarding when the screen had come in. Mind you the phone went black instantly. I understand it was an emergency fix but to have the gall to recharge me 120.00 yea not gonna come back here. So I initially paid 240.... Came by for them to out a brand new oem screen on a iphone 11 cool got it done gave me warranty after 2 weeks screen dont let me access my typing or anything. I gave the guy 40 dollars as a down payment to fix my computer screen he said he would order a part when I got pick it up here charges me 20 more and the computer screen isn't working and he didn't even put it in place he only put 6 screws in the back that I can take out with my finger and the part he was gonna order he never even put on and claimed that screen was a problem of the motherboard/graphics card and suggested me to another place.. this place is a robbery and money!!!!! he didn't even give me my receipt back...and plus he never called me to tell me about the computer problem and he took about 2 weeks to put 6 screws unbelievable my computer is in the exact condition I brought in except for the 6 screws that he added!!!!! the owner is very dishonest read more

I recently purchased a lcd screen from website in order to fix my water-damaged LG smartphone. But the phone screw was so tiny that I stripped and was not able to remove the phone cover. So I went to Fixell to ask for resolution. When I first stepped into the store, Sam was talking to a customer who came before me. He was letting the customer know every detail about the repair process and why the price given is the lowest the store can offer. After that, he greeted me and I asked him if I could get my phone unscrewed. Sam was very helpful and he unscrewed the phone for me literally in about 40 seconds. Not only that, he also gave me the screw driver for these tiny screws for free. I asked him if I can buy new screws for my phone and he told me the screws I have are still in good condition and that I wouldn't need to replace them. Very kind, generous, and honest business, which is not very easy to see these days. I would definitely go to Fixell if I have a problem with my phone in the future and recommend anyone who has problems with their smartphones. read more

When my wife recently rescued her Blackberry from the gaping maw of a toilet, I thought the water damage would be extensive enough to reduce it to nothing more than an expensive paperweight. We had the insurance through T-Mobile, but the deductible was so high that it was gut-wrenching to pay it for a refurbished one. (Two thumbs down, Asurion!!) Ebay and Craigslist were no help. T-Mobile had discontinued the model. So...she looked up some local phone repair shops and found Cute [backwards] "R". In this cell-crazy, throw-away society, I thought that repairing these things would be really expensive and pointless in the end, but they offered a free estimate so it was worth a shot. I think Adam was the guy in charge, but all of the guys that worked there were great. He called my wife and told her the damages, and recommended that based on the cost of the parts we were better off going with the insurance's refurbished option, and he wouldn't charge us for the diagnostic. Unless...he could find the parts for a better price by the next day. Same day, he found them, so our phone was fixed within the next day--and for about $50 less than the refurbished option! They were able to recover most of the data (thank goodness I had backed it up not TOO long ago), and the phone looked completely restored. When we came in to pick it up, they even switched out the trackball on the spot for free (which had been jacked up since before the water damage.) Their shop is even clean, organized, and simple. They don't sell a tone of accessories and gizmos, but we felt confident in them. They are certified, honest, give quick service, and a 90-day warranty. Apparently they do some computer repair too, and Sam is the guy that heads that up. I would DEFINITELY go back to this store. read more

This place buys STOLEN phones with no ID or sending the IMEI to the department of Justice. Currently Filing a police report on them now! I have seen way too many of these shady businesses come around and they don't deserve to stay in business using their cheap after market parts. So hey if your phone gets stolen check this place first. they'll "chop shop" your stolen phone and sell the parts. Unfortunately you "bought" the wrong stolen phone. luckily I was able to get my phone back but had him lie through his teeth about it. ;D read more

Went there last week with a Samsung Galaxy problem. The friendly guy there listened to description of the problem and diagnosed it as a software issue. He didn't charge me and offered to reset the software to factory specs for $25 with a backup of my data, but we agreed I could do that myself since I have the data cord and the backup software on my computer. I would go back as the guy was reasonable and did not pressure me to spend money. read more

After I botched a screen swap on my HTC phone (meticulously done, but phone wouldn't power on afterwards), this store popped up on Google, and the Yelp rating was reasonable, so I decided to give the location a shot in desperation. I called up the location and explained the problem. He confirmed that he worked on HTC phones and asked me to bring in the phone for a look. The place seems to be privately owned with one or two people managing the store at any given time. When I went in the first time, the owner was nice enough. I described the problem again. However, this time the owner indicated that the repair was complicated and he had no spare parts for the phone, which meant he'd have to do the same thing I would if he couldn't get it to work - order parts from overseas and fix it that way. He told me he'd have a look anyhow and check to ensure everything was installed properly (something I'd already done about half a dozen times by this point), charge me $65 if he could get the phone to work, or $20 if he couldn't (for his time). I agreed as I had few alternatives at the time. Although he originally quoted me for 24 hours for the repair job, it ended up taking 48 hours, during which time I had no phone - not even a loaner. After two days, he confirmed that he was unable to fix the phone (probably due to ESD damage on the motherboard during my initial screen swap - use ESD straps folks!). I returned to the store, gave him $20 (he prefers cash), got my bricked phone and left. When I got back to my office I noticed that the phone was in worse condition than when I dropped it off - a missing internal screw, screws installed improperly (specific screws for specific sub-assemblies were installed in the wrong sub-assemblies), missing plastic power button cover, missing decorative edge, etc. This may have been because I intoned that I discovered an opportunity to exchange the device, but if I had gone ahead an decided to purchase additional repair parts, my phone would not have been in like-new condition thereafter due to the additional missing parts. I had basically paid him $20 to break my phone even more than I had originally done. In closing, he might be good at fixing the standard fare, such as iPhones or Samsung devices, but having no basis for this conjecture, I can't recommend this store for any phone after my experience. In my observation and reflection on this matter, I think I had more experience working on my HTC phone from watching YouTube videos on my specific model than he had. But as they say, hindsight is 20/20. read more
