I was excited there was an appointment available with someone that knew how to do blonde hair so I could get my hair done while I had a day of PTO and for my time in Seattle. I felt I communicated what I wanted well for the color and cut, and I don't feel the hairstylist listened to what I wanted and since coming home I am very displeased with both. I've gotten balayage a couple times before and it has never turned out like this- it is kind of yellow, streaky, orange and is a huge contrast to the roots I now have. Right now I am wishing I had the hair I walked into the salon with because now I'm going to have to try and find someone that is able to fix it. read more

Mattie has been doing my cut and balayage for about six months and she does a fabulous job! I always leave Fix excited about how my hair looks. I'm really picky - it took me two years of living in Seattle to find the right stylist - but she continues to exceed my expectations! read more

Fix Salon - I went in with a frizzy mess and walked out with beautiful hair thanks to Mattie! - Hair Stylists Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I had a great experience coming into Fix for a cut and balayage. Mattie listened thoroughly and made sure that I was comfortable with her plan of action before getting started. Getting your hair colored can be scary, so this went a long way for me. She asked for my feedback along the way to ensure I'd be happy with the end result. I was looking for a trim and a little lightening up for summer and I left the salon feeling like I'd gotten exactly what I wanted. A couple of days later, worried that I'd gone too light, I contacted Mattie to see if I could come back in for some adjustments and she was more than happy to accommodate me. After a few washes I ended up totally happy with my hair - no need to return - but it's a huge plus for me that I had the option to go in and change anything I didn't like. read more

Mattie is great! I originally went in for a partial highlight and decided to switch it up last minute and try balayage instead, and it wasn't a problem. She is very attentive to what I asked for, and got the color just right. The next time I went back, she somehow made my hair look even better & listened to and followed through with minor tweaks I asked for here and there, as well as provided good input when I was indecisive. On top of that, all the workers here seem so nice and thoughtful. And they do 15% off on your first visit, plus a free gift at the end of the visit (mine was a cute makeup bag with a small hair product in it). The salon is clean, easy to get to (I walk but the parking seems relatively easy), and affordable. Needless to say, I will definitely be going back for a 3rd visit and am looking forward to it! read more

Fix Salon is awesome! I have my hair cut and colored by Manda Z. and she is AMAZING! I have never been more happy with hair! The color is rich and vibrant and lasts forever! They use the Redkin product line which has made me a convert - Manda is so well versed on every product and does great in-chair education to ensure you are getting the best products for your mane. I live across town on Beacon Hill but I don't mind having to travel for gorgeous hair and people who are so very passionate about their art. Also, they are very accommodating and easy to get into - which is exactly what I need with my busy schedule. See you guys Saturday! read more

Fix Salon in the Roosevelt District--I've gotten great cuts here for years. from Mandy McCullough, the owner of the salon. Sometimes I come in with ideas about what might work for my particular hair texture and length, and Mandy always has the right advice, backed up by both the talent and skill to give me the look I want in a way that's better than what i thought would work. The customer service is very good, as well. read more

Recently came here to get a color correction. I dyed my hair at home with a box dye and was nervous about getting it fixed at a salon. Vyvy turned my brassy hair to an amazing ash brown! Vyvy did an amazing job in gaving me the color I wanted and keeping my hair from becoming frizzy and dry! read more

After browsing multiple salons online, I decided to check out Fix Salon. I've yet to find a salon that I like in the States, and since I was looking to get a shorter cut, I was super nervous. I went in for the complimentary consultation, and showed Paige photos of what I was looking for. The consultation lasted less than ten minutes and felt a little rushed, but I scheduled an appointment with Paige the next day. During the haircut, we briefly talked about how I preferred the ends (slightly textured), and Paige just sort of went for it. I was really glad to see that she wasn't using thinning scissors, and was using point cutting instead. My hair ended up being shorter, but not quite like the photos I showed her. She dried and styled it, and it looked okay when I left. However, after I washed it and air dried it like I normally do, it ended up not looking as great. The ends were more layered than just textured, and tended to flip out. I ended up e-mailing Fix Salon, and asked if they would be able to fix the cut. Mandy replied quickly, and scheduled me with Paige for a revision. At this appointment, I mentioned the layered ends, and that I'd like the longer ends shorter so that they align more. Paige cut my hair a couple of times before I was satisfied with the length/look. I really appreciate that Fix Salon and Paige worked with me until I was content with the cut, and this may be the only salon I visit more than once! Price-wise, it's about average, and it depends on what level of stylist you choose. Mine ended up being ~$43 before tip, and after the 15% discount. NOTE: 15% off your first visit! read more

I booked a first time appointment here with Mattie. Not only did she REALLY listen to all my hair concerns (thin hair, double crown, difficult texture) her genuine nature and obvious technical skill put me at ease. My haircut was perfect, the conditioning treatment she gently recommended (no pushing here) left my hair silky smooth and I walked out with hair that looked great and felt terrific. I booked my next appt. before I left... and one for my daughter, too. Excellent service to value ratio. I am so happy to have found this Roosevelt treasure. Thank you! read more

Got a haircut with Mattie. A pleasure to chat with and she did a great job.

I had a subpar experience at Fix salon. My stylist spent max 20 minutes washing and cutting my hair and she was seated almost the entire time. Additional, she offered to diffuse my hair to keep the curl but only did this for 5 minutes. I ended up walking home with wet hair so full of product that it was impossible to hold the curl because of the weight. This 25 minute experience cost me $70. Will not return. read more

I've been coming to Joshua at Fix since September, when I moved to the Green Lake area. Joshua does an amazing job with coloring and cutting my hair, and always listens to my concerns (I'm paranoid about color build up, and I want to make sure that I choose shades that suit my complexion). Joshua is sweet and easy to talk to, and is a wonderful stylist. His prices are very reasonable, especially for the area. I've had my hair done in a range of upscale salons, but Fix has by far been the best experience and provides the outcome that I want. read more

Team Joshua!! I am the newest enthusiastic member. He took my poor, neglected, sad hair and brought it back to life. He knows how to shape it so it cooperates in every direction, and totally understands my budget concerns when it comes to products and other services. He's great to talk to, super interesting, super talented, and just plain super super! I've got my Seattle salon/hair stylist now, and I couldn't be more pleased. :) read more

I have been getting regular hair cuts with Mattie and she is amazing at cutting my 2b curly hair. I get a chin-length layered inverted bob and I love it. I would highly recommend her to other curly-haired ladies. read more

This is such an amazing salon! In addition to all the extra effort they take to make hair gorgeous and healthy, they have so many great perks! You get 15% off your first visit, another 15% off your next one if you book it in advance, and a cute goodie bag! Also, Joshua is incredible. He is so sweet and fun to talk to. And an amazing color artist! He is an absolute expert at balayage. I would recommend this salon to anyone! read more

Okay I'm a guy and I like my hair shorter and Karen cuts my hair better than anyone else ever has. Like said I like my hair shorter but it needs to look good as it grows out between cuts and it always does after Karen cuts it. I know the ladies like the Fix salon, but it a great place for a guy to get his hair cut too. read more

Andrea has been doing my hair since I was 12, and now even at 21 and going to school in a different state I wouldn't see anyone else. No matter what I have requested, Andrea has always cut and colored my hair in a way that is natural and flattering. My mom has also been a long time client of Andrea's and we can't recommend her enough! read more

This was my first time at the salon; it was great! All the employees were friendly and welcoming. Mandy was my stylist; she listened to what I wanted, and also gave me her own input. She was attentive and thorough, and checked with me before taking more length off/ adding more layers. She is very skilled; I am so happy with my haircut. I will definitely be back. Thank you Fix Salon! read more

Bad things would happen to me if Andrea went out of my life. Seriously - I'm not sure how long I've been going to Andrea at this point. 4 years? I pretty much get complimented on my hair every day. That's not an ego thing, it's totally true. And it's all Andrea. Great color, great cut and she's just a really fanastic person all around. I followed her to Fix from her old salon and couldn't be happier with where she ended up. It's a tiny space but doesn't feel cramped - feels like you have your own personal stylist! I'd highly recommend Andrea and while I've never had my hair cut by Mandy, I've seen her work and it's beautiful too! read more

I had a wonderful experience recently at Fix Salon with stylist Paige! I went in for a balayage/color correction. I had very blonde and outgrown color and was desperate for a change. I showed Paige what I was hoping for and I'm so pleased with my results! She gave me a beautiful gray/ash bayalage and completely masked the yellow/brass blonde color I had. The staff was very warm and friendly, I highly recommend this salon! Thank you Fix Salon for the hair upgrade! read more

love! Just had my first cut and color at Fix Salon and it was fantastic. This place just became my regular salon, just like that. I moved here a couple years ago and just couldn't find the right fit. Relieved to have found such a great salon. Perfect cut, perfect color. read more

Booked an appointment with Paige for a hair cut, she listened to what I told her I wanted , and I LOVE the cut. I will be going back to her for hair color also. As long as I am in Seattle she will be my go to stylist. Thank you, Paige Stephanie California girl! read more

GREAT haircut for more than reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend, even for thick difficult hair

HIGHLY recommend! I created a Yelp account just so I could sing Kristian's praises! At another Seattle salon that shall remain nameless, I went in for a partial foil to refresh my six month grow-out of a summer balayage (warm dark blonde on medium brown hair). I came out of that appointment with a full head of brassy, yellow-blonde hair. I was so disappointed. In my urgency to fix the mess, I did the unthinkable - I used a medium brown box dye to cover everything up. The result was not bad - I was back to my natural medium brown color, but it was certainly not what I had wanted. Fast forward a few weeks to give my hair a break, and I scheduled a partial balayage with Kristian. Booking the appointment online was a breeze (and very informative regarding prices per stylist, etc...), on the day I was greeted and sat down right on time, and at the end of my appointment, I was offered a 15% new client discount as well as a goodie bag of sample products. Now to the color itself. Needless to say, I was pretty nervous about the prior lightening disaster and what might happen this time around. Kristian's warmth and confidence made me feel totally at ease. She listened to my hair history, looked at my pictures, and talked with me about what was possible and where I might want to go with my color moving forward. She had the balayage done super quickly - she was blow-drying my hair within an hour! The color was SPOT-ON PERFECT. I was certainly not expecting such a fantastic result, given that I'd already colored my hair twice within a month - once by box! She created a warm, sun-kissed light brown that got me quite a bit lighter, but looked perfectly natural, blended, and dimensional. I was thrilled! She is a new stylist at Fix, so her prices are unbeatable, and she easily gave me the best color I've ever had! I cannot recommend her enough. I have my next appointment scheduled already! read more

I came to Mandy after getting my hair done somewhere else and not having it go the way I wanted. (What I had planned to be a natural looking balayage turned into a full head of bright and unevenly toned blonde.) I found Fix Salon online, and I am so glad I gave it a try! Mandy is an awesome listener, provides realistic feedback, and pulled off a stunning end product. You rock, Mandy! read more

So happy to find a o=salon so close that I love! Mandy was flexible w/ my schedule and did an awesome job on my hair. She really knows what she's doing and it shows in the final product! I'll be back soon for sure! read more

If you are looking for an amazing cut with a friendly and intimate experience- look no further than Karen at Fix Salon!! I have extremely difficult curly hair that I have fought for years. I went in to see Karen and explained to her my situation: I was looking for a way to wear my hair down for the first time, curly (not blow dried straight) that still let me look professional (i.e. not like a poodle). Not only did she give me an amazing cut (and smoothing treatment), but she also gave me a tutorial on how to style it (curly) myself! She offered me products, but did not push them in an unnatural way. She was all around outstanding. Also, you work with her directly to schedule appointments so although she has a set schedule, she is also willing to be flexible to YOUR schedule. Amazing. GO SEE KAREN! You won't regret it. :) read more

First time at the salon and Paige was absolutely amazing! She completely transformed my hair and even took time to teach me how to style it. It was by far the best hair cut/style/color I've ever had! I highly recommend! read more

While offering a free cut is a nice gesture it does not absolve the situation. The conversation was on speaker (two others were on my end listening to it) phone and the lady on phone repeatedly said it was policy to charge even though I explained the situation m a few times. It was not misheard. So as I was saying your offer to save face does not absolve anything that happened I'm hoping you will be more compassionate to other customers in the future. read more

Go see Karen at Fix for someone who's great at hearing and understanding what you want and making it happen. She's very stylish and on trend, with lots of great ideas, but will also let you go with the tried and true if that's your preference. Plus, she's great company! read more

It's been 4 years since I broke up with my last hair stylist and starting sitting in Mandy's chair at Fix Salon--and I've never looked back! Her attention to personal style and her ability to translate trends into something that works for you is unsurpassed. I love that she understands the art and the science of hair--even when I go with something more extreme, my color looks great while my hair feels healthy. She's really great at explaining the "why" and the "how" of any product she recommends. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, and everyone that works there is obviously passionate about hair! Getting my hair done there is such a treat. It's the best my hair looks every six weeks! read more

I wanted a place on/near Roosevelt because of the location and vibe. Fix did not disappoint. I got an appointment in a timely manner. I tried a new curly style and Mandy was very helpful with showing me how to style this at home. She had a couple of ideas and knew exactly what she was doing. Very professional. Fix has a range of prices for haircuts/stylists - as I am planning for retirement this was great news to me to be able to save $ if I want to. I will be back. Paige is friggin awesome. She gave me a great haircut and was super fun to chat with.
