I just got my hair done at Fix Salon, and I couldn't be happier! I walked in for a consultation last week and sat down with VyVy. I told her what I wanted, and let her know the poor condition of my hair. She was super honest and realistic about what we would be able to do, and I immediately felt comfortable that I was in good hands with her. Today, I came in to go from my wonky henna dyed mess to a red auburn color. VyVy was super friendly and fun to talk with, and walked me through what we were doing the whole time. My hair looks and feels amazing. People are already complimenting how healthy it looks. I was so stressed about finding a new salon, but now I know I'll come back to VyVy for any of my hair needs. I couldn't recommend her enough! Thanks bb read more

Fix Salon - Hair Stylists Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I recently moved to Seattle. I spent hours reading reviews and doing research to find a new hair salon, and I'm so happy I came across Fix. I had my first appointment last week. Although I loved the cut, I wasn't a huge fan of how the color turned out. The highlights were great, it just wasn't "me." I left the appointment feeling a bit iffy about my new look. When I received a feedback request I mentioned it, and received an email from the owner shortly after. I went back to Fix to get my color adjusted today and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Finding the right look with a new colorist takes time and I'm glad we figured out the right color that works for "me." I'm very impressed with the customer service and attention to detail. I will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend the salon, and Kristian. She is super friendly and did a fabulous job. read more

I went into Fix for a partial color/ balayage. My appointment began with a 25 minute wait. I feel if they charge for late/ no shows, they should offer some sort of discount if they are late. When I finally sat down my stylist told me I needed an over-all color rather than the partial color I had asked for because my hair had a lot of previous dye in it. She also added another procedure for removing old color. It was signifant amount more than the original "estimate" but I was excited and agreed. I signed a paper that they give every client before their appointment agreeing to what I would pay. I was a little concernced when my stylist bleached the entire bottom half of my hair instead of weaving bleach in (I've had balyage before and that is the typical process). Fairly quickly, my stylist ran into some issues with the bleach on my previously colored hair. (I'm not a stylist, that is why I got my hair done, but I think some of the issues started when she bleached most of hair which i did not ask for). She tried to correct some of the unwanted color to no avail. After almost 3 HOURS (appointments are estimated to take 1.5) she showed me a $ amount for the product and time it would take to fix the issues. She told me I would not pay that amount, that I'd already signed the quote, but that this is what it would take. I clarified that I would not have to pay more and apologized for my hair being difficult and we continued. After another hour, my hair looked nothing like the photos I had shown her and still had the same issues she was trying to fix. She herself mentioned that the color wasn't going well and that we may need to schedule another appointment to get it corrected. She was about to send me on my way, but I was not about to pay for what seemed like poor judgement/ lack of skills. I said "I don't want to leave like this I'll pay a little extra just please fix it." She walked away and then I spent another hour in the chair, mostly waiting for yet another process to set. When I got to the register, the number was almost double what I was told and what I signed to pay. She said this amount was for the products used (to fix her mistakes) and the time it took (to fix her mistakes). I am confident this would have been a faster, better experience if I had gone elsewhere. My hair VAGUELY looks like the photos I shared and even after 5.5 hours and an unreasonable/ unethical amount of money the color issue is still there. If you go here - just get a hair cut. Do not trust them with your coloring. I should have canceled when the stylist I was scheduled for quit. read more

Anthony is an artist. He's been doing my highlights for about a year now, and I've never had a stylist do such a detail oriented job or leave my hair feeling healthier. He always gives me exactly what I ask for- natural looking balayage highlights that look good when they grow out. I've never been happier with my hair color! read more

I recently went in for a full foil to go blonder and brighter. It was mostly blonde already it just needed a bit of a refresh. I have been getting my hair dyed the same way for 7 years and never have I had such poor outcomes. I went in twice (the second time being a revision). The first time I was left with darker roots than I previously had, some chunks were almost grey and other sections of my hair were brassy. I went back in for a revision where I was told the owner would be there to overlook the service and make sure it all went smoothly. I felt we were all on the same page after I explained what I wanted. However I left the salon with a very yellow blonde that is almost orange at the roots. The owner also never came to check on the hair during the process and did not even come look at the final result. I spent over 7 hours in the salon and neither time I got what I wanted. I do not recommend this salon, especially if you are wanting to achieve something in the blonde range. I have included photos of my results. read more

I have been going to Fix Salon for almost 2 years and they are easily the best hair salon in Seattle. As someone who has lived here my whole life I have tried many different places and never been fully satisfied. Fix is a small salon with a team of professional, talented, fun and kind stylists. Yesterday, I got a full foil and cut by VyVy and she was amazing. I brought in a photo from Instagram of what I wanted my hair to look like and she re-created it perfectly. I had initially booked myself for a balayage as I thought that was what was shown in the photo but VyVy knew I would actually need foils to get the color I wanted. Her expertise and precision led to a perfect color. Thank you VyVy and the whole Fix Salon team! read more

I've had 3 visits at the Fix Salon and every time I've had beautiful results! Mattie did a balayage on my naturally black hair twice, and VyVy balayaged my hair most recently. Both Mattie and VyVy are amazing! They made sure I was comfortable, listened about what I wanted my hair to look like, and exceeded my expectations all while maintaining the health of my hair. Their expertise and professionalism is unlike that of any other salon. I highly recommend Mattie and VyVy at the Fix Salon (all of their staff is just as amazing!) read more

Fix Salon - Before and after balayage by VyVy - Hair Stylists Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Fix is a wonderful neighborhood salon that has everything your hair needs. Booking an appointment was such a breeze with their online scheduling system. Extra points for having an online booking system so I can make appointments at 11 PM. Check in was smooth and I was even able to get in a few minutes early. I did a consultation with Paige earlier so when we sat down I talked about what hair color I wanted, showed pictures, and then explained my hair concerns. I've been trying to go cooler/ashier toned for almost two years but Asian hair always pulls warm. Paige offered great suggestions of what she thought was do-able and considered my concerns for my hair eventually becoming brassy. My full foil was fast and I got handed off to a different stylist for my tone and blow out. Paige did such a great job with my color and offered tips on how to prevent it from getting brassy. The other stylist was very accommodating and did a good job on my blowout (I'm not usually a fan of how others' style my hair). Overall, I would highly recommend Fix for all your hair needs, whether it's cut or color. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of service. I look forward to coming back to Fix soon. read more

I've lived in Seattle for about a year, and I swear if there is ONE salon you should pick, it's this one!! I became a regular after Mattea gave me my first blowout and now I'm hooked!! They give you a lot of good advice for any question you have about your hair, Lexi and Mattea helped me pick the best shampoo for my frizzy dry hair! I also went in once to get blonde money pieces, and Danny was so kind and helped me pick the right shade to match my natural color. I'm a redhead so I was SO nervous to put color in my hair, but these guys are the best so you're in luck. Mattea today did an amazing job dying my blonde streaks back to my natural red!! I was super nervous it wouldn't be my natural shade, but it's perfect. If you're looking to find the best color for you, come here!! Best blowouts too. read more

I had an interesting experience here. I think they probably did a good quality job, but it just really wasn't what I wanted or asked for. I came in for a balayage. I said I wanted something that would add some dimension to my natural sandy/ashy brown color & make it a bit more interesting but that I didn't want anything dramatic. I already had a balayage on my hair that had grown out quite a bit (~5 months), so I pointed to the ends and said this is what I want. I know that I specifically said I didn't want to look like I had dyed my hair blonde. I left the salon blonde. Like, bleach blonde. Really blonde. Very blonde!!! My 3yo niece didn't recognize me. I'm a low maintenance type of person, most of my clothes come from REI, I wear makeup maybe once a week, etc. My hair is quite unnatural looking now -- it's just not my style and not what I wanted. Here is a pic from my friend's wedding that shows how blonde and streaky it looks: https://i.imgur.com/ak3qPEb.jpg I also ended up getting charged a bit more than what the website said. It says $106 for a level II balayage and I paid $140 plus tip. Not sure where the difference came from. If you are going to book here I'd book over the phone so you can verify what you are booking and how much it will be. read more

Great experience today! Thanks, ladies! Great cut & color for my daughter & me! Flew in from Houston to Seattle last night to bring my daughter to check my first-born daughter into the dorm for her freshman year at Cornish. Made appt from Houston & Fix Salon was very accommodating. Have to r picture-perfect for the cameras at an art college! Cute salon. Great stylists. Highly recommend! read more

I had a wonderful experience here and left with a new haircut I really love! Olga is so sweet and fun to chat with and she did a great job. Even though my appointment was nearer the end of the day, I was offered tea and seen on time. I chose this salon based on all the great reviews, which I now know are very much correct. read more

I used to never be able to commit to a hairstylist, but now that i have found Kristian at Fix, I will never go anywhere else! Kristian is so friendly and professional, and has taken my drabby hair into Blonde perfection. She transferred me from a foils to a balayage addict and I am obsessed with my hair whenever I leave the chair. The salon is bright, clean and a great space with plenty of parking in the area. I am so glad I found Kristian and Fix Salon! read more

Three words: Oh my goodness! VyVy is nothing short of pure magic. She was incredible with my hair and honestly put all of my hairdresser fears to rest. She did an AMAZING job with my balayage and I could not be happier. She really took the time to explain each step and I felt completely comfortable in her hands - so much so that I've been back twice in two weeks to get even more done because I was so impressed with my first visit. Thank you! read more

The cut wasn't great....uneven in some places, choppy in others. The stylist was very nice, but after getting home and really looking at it I'm honestly not sure what the goal was here. I didn't give a lot of direction, just said I wanted a couple inches off for the dead ends and to add some long layers, but nothing really looks right. read more

Five stars! I wanted a bold change, to cut my long hair short. Mandy listened to me, starting first with a classic cut, and then tailoring it to better fit my features and hair habits (like tucking locks behind my ears). She has tremendous eye for detail, modern style, and top skills. I absolutely love my hair cut. 100%. First day back at work, I'm getting a lot of compliments. Mainly that it's a great cut and that it looks really good on me. One said: "your stylist is really talented". I couldn't agree more. Thanks, Mandy! read more

I'm a three-time Joshua enthusiast. He's like my Hair Whisperer, and no matter what I go in there wanting, I'm always better off just shutting up and listening to him, because he always seems to know better than I do what will look best. He does wonders with balayage and (very subtle) ombre; it just always looks like you just have Lucky Hair™, which I do not. Except right after a visit to him. Sometimes I go in there saying, "Make it really dark up top" and he'll say, "Hmmm...well it's almost summer..." and now I know enough to just go, "Yeah yeah, never mind, just do what is empirically best." And he does. It's not that he won't give you precisely what you want - if that's what you want. It's just that he has those kind of opinions that you get from years of experience. He's double threat: great technique coupled with great taste. And that means he just MAY see you more objectively and constructively than you see yourself. Sometimes I think we don't see ourselves, don't really know what our best light even is - all that clearly because we're so entrenched in it, and our experiences have really shaped our preferences. That means our preferences MAY be a little tired, a little outdated, or based on perceived flaws (or, hell, maybe even perceived assets) that less subjective beholders don't register. I guess another way to say this is that his opinion is straight-up trustworthy. If you're feeling at a loss or in a rut, I think he's a great guy to see. Rock on, Joshua! read more

I'm pretty excited about Fix. It's so remarkably hard to find a stylist that has technique, taste, and the ability to match that up with the personal style, face shape, personality, etc. of their client. Mandy recently cut my hair and she did an amazing job - she listened to what I wanted, gave me thoughtful insight and commentary on what she thought would work best, and performed - checking along the way to make sure it was all going as planned. VyVy is easily the best hair stylist I've gone to! Super easy to get along with, welcoming and accepting! She's fixed my hair over and over & has never done me wrong. I usually get a full balayage, but have done full/partial foils as well. You can trust her expertise! read more

I'm new to the area and had been putting off getting a color correction done that I was desperately in need of. I told Vyvy that I also wanted to do a fantasy color and she killed it. My weird hot-root red hair from before is gone and I have amazing pink hair that would have Lavagirl shaking in her boots. Vyvy was so nice and very clearly communicated everything she was doing to my hair. I could definitely tell that she genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the outcome and that we kept my already processed hair healthy. I am so happy with my experience here and will definitely be back. read more

Paige was an amazing hair dresser, she really listened and worked on many options with my hair. But I was in the salon for three & half hours and I left crying!! I never once had been so disappointed with the ending results of my hair; I'm so sad I wasted my time & money. My hair looks exactly as it did when I walked in, worst experience I ever had & from the start I could tell Mandy the owner and Paige didn't like me.. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Huge heart break, but Paige really is a great stylist! I hope that they do what is right and give me a refund! read more

Today I met with Joshua at Fix Salon. My first visit here. The big difference at Fix Salon compared to a plethora of the other salons I've been to is he actually asked me very relative questions about my hair goals. Not just "when was the last time you cut your hair" questions. And he took notes the entire time. He also was like that really good friend who tells you what looks good and not so good for you - which is what I really needed to hear. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of time and product plus professionalism Joshua gave me. read more

LOVE Fix Salon LOVE Mandy's work! Mandy is Uber talented, and is always on the cutting edge with hair trends. I really like that she frequently attends hair shows to always be a few steps ahead of what's next. She has taken me from short to long and layered, and many pretty colors of brown to ombre. If you want five star attention and leave with the look that a seasoned stylist took care of your locks, make an appointment with her... she's it! Also, Plan ahead and be patient if she can't get you in right away, it will be worth wait- promise! read more

I came here for a cut and gloss from Kristian and loved it!! I HIGHLY recommend VyVy! Very capable, honest without being too blunt, and very very helpful. I went into Fix after receiving a haircut that I wasn't happy with somewhere else. During the consultation, she assured me there was an easy fix for the misshapen and too short bob I had received and it wouldn't cost me anymore length. I came back a day later and in about 20 minutes she had my hair looking muuuuch better and not any shorter. She assured me that I'd see a noticeable difference in length in just a few weeks, and gave me tons of advice on what to do with it in the meantime. Also when I told her something I was considering doing to my hair she recommended against it, which I really appreciate in a stylist. The most amazing part: she didn't charge me for an entire haircut! I'm moving very soon so I probably won't get a chance to go back, but I can't recommend VyVy enough!! Five stars, 10/10 would recommend read more
