This was my third visit to FIX Auto of Orange. That in and of itself should tell you something about my evaluation of both the people and their services. They gave me a good estimate of what it would take to repair my Prius. I know it was good because it was the best of the three estimates I solicited before making a decision to use their services. I believe in "under promise and over deliver" and apparently so does FIX Auto; they promised me that if I brought my car in on a Monday morning I would have it back by the following Friday afternoon. They went me one better and I had it back 'looking like new' on Thursday afternoon. I have only written 2 other reviews on companies, one being positive and the other less desirable. At the end of the day, you never really want to meet someone from a body shop because it means something no so good took place with your car. This was my case. I decided to follow the recommendation from my insurance company, who had Fix Auto as one of their body shop vendors. I did not know of anyone else, so I felt it was a wise decision as I doubt that my insurance company would affiliate themselves with a poor quality shop. This was by far the best decision I ever made. As one review pointed out, nobody wants to walk into these types of shops, but if they had to do it again it would be without question Fix Auto. These guys are superior to anything I have ever seen. James, the owner, has really set-up a very high end shop with an amazing customer service. As a customer, I like to be in constant communication in knowing what is taking place with my car. The amount of text messages I received was awesome. I knew at all times what was going on with the car, and at what stage they were at with all repairs. I even received calls directly from James giving me updates. When I picked up my car, I was blown away as I could not even tell it was involved in an accident. Paint was amazing, lines perfect, and the car drove better than before the damage. Fix Auto is the epitome of what a body shop needs to be. If anyone wants to be successful in this industry, they really need to pay attention to what this team is doing. They are unmatched in professionalism, impeccable work, customer service, and just a perfect all around customer satisfaction. I hope that people will read these reviews, as they still do not do enough justice to the quality of this business. I have already been passing on the information to all my friends, and anyone else that I encounter with a need for a body shop. USAA is my insurance company (for more than 25 years) who referred me to Fix Auto-Orange back in April due to my 2016 vehicle being side swiped on the passenger side. My initial contact with the shop was very pleasant. The Estimator (JD) who is no longer employed there & the Customer Care Specialist (BC) were polite and courteous. I would give the shop a 5-star review for the repairs done to my vehicle at that time. About a month later, I brought my vehicle back in May due to concerns on the gloss/clear coat on the front panel. JD immediately took my car back to their painter and had it buffed out. I left satisfied. Its now Nov (a little more than 6 months later) & I brought my (same)2016 vehicle back to Fix Auto-Orange because I voiced my concerns to USAA about the dissatisfaction regarding the paint/clear coat. USAA told me to take it back to the shop and give them the opportunity to fix it to my satisfaction. So on 11/04, I visited the shop and was greeted by BC. I told her about my dissatisfaction with the paint job and while still in the office BC said that the warranty is good on any of the work done by us for the lifetime that you own the vehicle. Now Im going to give you my reason for the 1 star review. BC was condescending, argumentative, defensive and insinuated that the reason I waited more than 6 months was because I could have re-damaged my car and was basically blaming FIX AUTO for the poor paint/clear coat! Yep she said that to me...then BC had the audacity to say that she needs to protect HER COMPANY from people that make up false claims against them. I couldnt believe that this person said those things out loud and to my face! BC is not the OWNER of the FIX AUTO. BC is an EMPLOYEE who happens to be related to the owner (DC). Oh it gets better...after about 10 minutes of a heated discussion BC finally went and got Todd the painter to come and look over my vehicle. Todd said that he was not the guy who initially painted my car but could see exactly what I was pointing out. Todd said that he has over 40yrs of painting experience. And when he started working at Fix Auto there was water in the lines and after time it dulls the clear coat and the gloss fades. Todd validated my concerns in a matter of minutes. ONLY then did BC apologize. It should not matter how much time has lapsed if Fix Auto stands by their word on their warranty! What if an Active Duty Servicemember was on deployment for 6 months or longer and wasnt able to bring it to the shop...what then? That accusation BC made was down right offensive and her apology was meaningless! A lifetime warranty is just that...lifetime! FINAL OUTCOME Fix Auto honored their warranty and fixed my vehicle. Again, I left satisfied with the rework. But I should not have been treated with such disrespect by BC. I am so offended and appauled by her actions that I am going to notify USAA of this negative experience! And I can only hope that they remove your business from their list of repair shops so that no other Veteran has to deal with BC 's negative attitude and repulsive behavior. Read the post by Dakota (5 months ago). BC exhibited some of the same behaviors as she did with me. The owner, DC disregarded Dakota's post as being a personality issue but It comes down to a learned behavior and not a personality conflict. Next time a person comes in for Warranty work, Listen to their concerns before making an assumption that they are fabricating a story to benefit from. A business can perform great work but if your Customer Service Employee has horrible communication skills and they are the "face" of your business and the Owner is unwilling to reprimand or correct that same Employee/relation even after 2 totally separate incidents occur then shame on you! read more

Had a great experience getting a fender repaired after my wife had a disagreement with our garage shelf. I had gotten an estimate at another location which I thought was fair but stumbled onto Fix Auto Orange and thought I'd check. Price was better and so was the service. Thelma kept me updated by email and Joe finished the work a day early and saved me an extra day car rental. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone but sincerely hope I don't have to return. read more

I have NEVER in my entire life felt more disrespected than when I came here. The lady that works at the front desk (Brittany) is incredibly rude and condescending... And guess what? Apparently she's also the manager! That means there's no one above her to hold her responsible for her ill-mannered actions, so you're stuck dealing with her!! It's unfortunate because the two mechanics I've spoken with have been very nice and courteous, but the way I was treated by lady at the front desk just doesn't make up for it. I will never return to this place and as long as she's working there and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. Great customer service and upfront about everything. Found this place through my insurance company and saw the good reviews on Yelp so decided to take my care here for repairs. Someone hit my parked car and completely knocked off my driver side mirror. Made an appointment to get an estimate (to see if it was even worth filing a claim) and had the part ordered that Friday and was told it would be in likely by Monday. The part came in the following Monday and made an appointment to have the repair done Thursday. Came in Thursday and turns out the wrong part was sent. CK apologized and even took responsibility for it because no one looked at the part when it arrived to make sure it was the right one. To me it was no big deal; I mean why would the manufacturer send the wrong item? Anyways, they fixed the order and said it would be in by the next day. It came the next day as promised and instead of having to make another appointment and possibly wait another few days they said I could come in whenever that day and get it fixed. Came in later that day and I was in and out in under 30 minutes! No surprise charges. Costs were what was estimated. My mirror is fixed and functional again; and I got fudge! read more

Took my car in because it wasn't shutting correctly and Mercury Insurance recommended this body shop for an estimate. Setup was easy over the phone and confirmed via email. Where as Mazda of Orange told me I needed an expensive car repair/new door, Fix Auto took a quick look and determined the problem was as easy as pushing back a rubber stopper. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and couldn't be happier with the service I received, from the front desk to the technician that helped me throughout. My car was hit on the right rear fender by a friend accidently. I thought there is no way the car will ever look as good as when I purchased it. I took the car to Fix Auto because I knew one of the employees. Let me say, I am totally blown away by how nice the employees were. I was treated with a lot of respect and shown such courtesy. I was advised as to the estimate to fix the car and told they would have in done in 3 days. It was repaired so expertly like no damage had ever been done. They also went out of their way to clean the outside and inside of the car. My 2013 Nissan Sentra looked like it just came off the show room floor. I hope I never have another accident but if so, then there is no doubt that I will return for any future work and advise my family and friends as to where to take their cars for any body work. read more
