I've been bringing cars to Joe and Thelma and their team since 2015. I knew the previous management and respected them for their work and their business ethics as well. Let me be honest - I'm a terrible driver. I've seen my deductible go from 250 to 1000 over the course of three years and in that time I've been in 4 or five minor accidents and two collinions. Two of my cars were ultimately not repaired and one has been in and out of the shop a couple times where it took at least a few weeks to fix. But here is the thing... Most dealerships and auto repair facilities will fix what they see, not necessarily what's wrong. Fix Auto Orange may not always be the cheapest, but they're always the best. If you are going to spend money to fix your car anyway, you might as well fix it right. I have never ever been dissatisfied with the service. First found Fix Auto Orange through my insurance company. Since then, I have used them a couple times for personal auto body repairs. I recently took my car in to fix the front left bumper and to paint the passenger side view mirror. Joe and Thelma made the whole process pain free. Got an estimate, made an appt to drop off car. They told me when the car would be ready and it was! They even clean the interior and exterior of the car. I liked the service where you can leave your Enterprise rental there when you go to pick up your car. Thelma will take car of it... very convenient. Also, I had asked for a little bottle of touch-up paint for my back bumper. I had a scratch from the garage door. I had my car repaired earlier this week, and I had a great experience from the very beginning. The estimator was very kind to set an appointment that would fit my work schedule. Setting up an appointment to drop my car off to get fixed was also easy and accommodating. Thelma was very helpful and always answered my questions in detail and called me twice during the repair to provide me with progress updates. I got rear ended last week and I'm trying to get a few estimates for the insurance company so I go to Fix Auto and they tell me that they don't do estimates after 5:00 pm. Customer service is everything to me and that's not what I got the second I walked into this place today. I got a blank stare from the lady at the front desk, and she didn't say anything to me until I was forced to say "hello" to her. I told her that I'd like to get an estimate, and she said that I had to make an appointment with them first. I missed what she said and I asked her to repeat it, and she then proceeded to point at a customer that was sitting down. She said she had an appointment and that she was next in line. She then repeats what I missed and says that I have to make an appointment first. It was a very awkward moment for me and probably for the person waiting that I made eye contact with. The repair work they did was good.. looks better than new.. The problem I had was with the process. I took it in on Friday and said I wanted an estimate. I gave them all my insurance information. I had just hit a pole and needed a new bumper. As long as my insurance company paid out less than $750, my driving record would not be dinged. So on Monday, I called up in the morning and they said they hadn't done an estimate yet because they hadn't gotten authorization from the insurance company. But that didn't make sense to me, I asked them to do the estimate on Friday, why did they need authorization from the insurance company for the estimate? Anyway, he told me he'd call me Monday afternoon. No call on Monday, so I called on Tuesday morning, he said the estimate was to have the insurance company pay out $941. I told him that I wanted to take my car for a second estimate. I mean, its a bumper.. He told me I couldn't do that because he already had the car taken apart and the parts ordered. But that wouldn't have happened if they would have done the estimate when I asked and called me with the estimate when they said they would. Luckily I was able to negotiate with the insurance company that I'd pay the extra $191 so that they'd only pay out the $750, but I shouldn't have had to do that. They should have been able to bring it within the price I needed, or let me get a second estimate. So much for keeping my business local. If this ever happens to me again, I'll find a shop willing to work with me instead of just using the guy down the street that the insurance company recommends. read more

I delivered my car at 9AM & received a call at 2:30 the next day that it was done. Not only was the problem fixed but Bob had all the little dings fixed. My bumper looks like new. I had a minor repair done at Fix Auto a few months ago. Thelma and Allison were great. So when I got into a fairly serious accident in November, I called them immediately and took the car there to be repaired. Thelma remembered me and was so kind to me seeing how shook up I was. She guided me through the process of calling my insurance, getting a rental car, getting my stuff out of the car and all that. Allison is a knowledgable assessor and manager and communicated to me very clearly. She told me the car would be transferred to Yorba Linda as they had some equipment needed. Valerie in YL was also super helpful and good to talk to. They kept me informed all along and called me as soon as my car was ready. They delivered it back to the Orange shop in mint condition. Unfortunately (for us), we've had a need for a body shop multiple times over the years. Although we live in Anaheim and there are other body shops (including ohter Fix Autos) closer to us in Anaheim and Yorba Linda, we go to the Orange shop. Don and Bob are great to work with--honest, willing to work with you, and familiar with the insurance process (we have AAA). This last time, we worked exclusively with Bob and the work was done in a week (we were limping along with only one car for that week, and definitely needed the second car the following week). Agree with the comment that they could communicate more, but we did get regular updates from the insurance company. When we picked up the car, it was a great job, as expected, and we were thrilled (again) with the service. Wish they were more convenient (and also wish we didn't need to use them at all, but that's the nature of these things). Happily recommend them to anyone needing body work inside or outside the insurance process. read more
