Needed my nails done while in Mississippi visiting my family. This place was located near my parent's house. I went during the week for a no chip manicure and pedicure around 3pm and there were people being serviced but it wasn't super busy. I was taken right away. The young man that did my manicure was awesome. I liked how they have books with the color choices in them. I take forever to decide on a color so this way I was able to look while he started working on my nails. He was very patient and encouraged me to take my time. I liked this because I didn't feel rushed. He took his time and did a great job on my nails. I then moved over to the pedicure area. The young lady that did my pedicure gave me a list of different types of pedicures that were available. I just did the basic one. I think she may have been new because some of the other techs were observing her and checking her work but she did an excellent job. While I was getting my pedicure I noticed a young lady doing lashes and I asked if they did eyebrows and they did so I got my eyebrows waxed as well. During the time I was there the place had a steady influx of customers and was quite busy by the time I left so I was glad to have arrived when I did. The prices were decent as well. I was recommended to this nail salon and I only visited because my personal nail tech was unavailable at the time, however It's a no for me,(my nails started to pop off way sooner than I'm use to) however I will say thank you for the sweet happy that they gave me upon leaving,so that was a plus. read more

I should have listened. I read the reviews. I was not sold on their services. But there was an hour wait at KT's and I really wanted my fangas and toes done. This is a life lesson...patience can save you from suffering! First of all...the lady who did my pedicure didn't ask me if the water was too cold, too warm...nothing. Didn't give me a list of services. I had to ask her. I got the $50 Happy Feet but the way she rubbed my legs for 1 minute and 36 seconds...not happy. THEN...she was about to put the polish on without the first, clear coat. I said something and then she went to talking Vietnamese (probably talking about me but who cares). My color was cute so all was forgiven. Despite that lukewarm performance I decided to go ahead and get a manicure as well. I should have stopped while I was ahead. The manicurist was going too fast, getting rid of my many month's worth of cuticles and cut me. Ok...these things happen. She gets some green antiseptic vial but I keep bleeding. She's asking me to wash my hands. I keep bleeding. She's saying it's ok and normal but I keep bleeding! She applies pressure and I think it's ok, she finishes up my gel manicure. But then I look down and I'M STILL BLEEDING! So at this point I just want to get out of here. I've dropped a pint of blood and am hungry. Add on the super annoyance of them passing on the credit card processing fee to the customer. I'm beyond done and ready to go. Plus...it wasn't a lot of customers (I went Friday afternoon) but I see what the other reviewers mentioned. The space is super congested. Moral of the story...trust your gut! read more

I have never written a review before, but my experience was so bad I didn't know what else to do. I wish I could give zero stars. I went with a friend to get pedicures today. We both ordered the "deluxe pedicure" with gel polish totaling $60. On their service menu, the deluxe pedicure comes with a foot massage (which is the main reason I like to get pedicures). What I received was a small amount of lotion on my calves for a total of 30 seconds each with zero pressure. I did not realize that was the "massage", so I asked towards the end if I was able to get foot massage and they made a huge deal about it, mocked me, and then proceeded to rub my legs (not even touch my feet) for 1 minute each. Also, not to mention the hot towels they used smelled like they hadn't been washed in weeks and my toes had paint smudges everywhere and they didn't even cut or file my them. I stayed sitting in the chair afterwards while they did the same thing to the friend I was with. The total time I was sitting in the chair was 30 min, but my aesthetician got up and left for 10 minutes... so I received maybe 20 minutes of a $60 service. Okay so this place definetly gets 1 Star!! At first I was going to give it three because the service was bad! But now I'm giving it 1! When we first went, the techs that were working on the pedicures were rude. Also, i left the shop and the next day I still had dead skin on my heels because they barely scrubbed them. Then the other person in my party kept saying she didn't like the color and the lady just kept painting and shaking her head no! I got a gel polish on my nails on Monday, like the Monday that started this week, and my GEL polish is peeling off!! And chipping. The prices are comparable nationwide. The decor is modern. Comfortable seating. Hygienic atmosphere, with a few special details making it stand out from the crowd. There is a low fee atm inside. I've been coming here for about 3 years now and I always receive great service each time. Grace and Jack do a phenomenal job for full sets, I personally prefer dipping powder and the shaping and symmetry is impeccable. The wait can be kind of long on the weekends when it's super busy, so I try to go earlier in the day on weekdays. They also accept JSU supercard, which is great for students! The website totally lied about the eyelash extension. They only do regular thick glue, fake looking lashes for 40$. So if your looking for a natural look dont go here for eyelash extension. MS has no salon that do eyelash extension for a reasonable price because we are so behind on everything. This is a really nice establishment. I got a Mani-Pedi and they did a really good job with the pedicure, but I was not satisfied with the manicure. The scrub they used on my hands made the skin on my hands peel. Several of my natural nails also broke. I purposely refrain from fake nails because I've had my natural nails destroyed by them before. To have my natural nails all break off just days after this manicure was highly upsetting. I gave 3 stars because of the good job on my pedicure. I would definitely go back to Five Star for a pedicure, but a manicure from Five Star is out of the question. read more

I arrived early Thursday morning with no appointment. I previously emailed them about their acrylic removal techniques. The representative nicely explained the process since this would be the first time I got them removed. I was greeted by Grace. She was so polite and sweet. I had no problems throughout my services. She did file down a little more than I would like on my nail bed, but I'm sure the next time I visit she would be happy to accommodate me. I've been going to this nail shop since 2014 and for a while Ive been receiving the absolute worse service you could ever possibly have. When I go to the shop sometimes my mom and I come in and get bikini waxes, nails, toes, brows and facials which totals to be more then $300. A couple of weeks ago, I got my nails done and literally a week later every single one of my nails popped off (this was not the first time this happened either, it's been tons of times that this has happened). The last straw was the Friday before Easter. I went to get my nails done and I usually only use one person because 2 other people from this shop did a horrible job on my nails before so I try to use the same person. So I went to my regular girl and my gel was very messy and completely uneven. The gel was caked up and looked horribly. When she finished I was completely shocked because she's never done my nails this way. They are always neat, even though they pop off every week. So when I mentioned my nail problem she told me she could no longer do my nails because I'm too picky. I was extreme angry because I am a loyal customer, my mom and I have been going there even before she worked there and my mom and I get so much work done there so I feel like she should at least do my nails correctly. After that basically I told her I would just find someone else to do my nails and I asked her to fix them. She didn't do a great job at fixing them but my nails looked a lot better once she attempted to fix them. read more

Very rude customer service. They do ok nails but their pedicures are horrible and they rush doing it. Then when you let them know they brush you off. Then when the manager came she was super rude and so unprofessional and told me to go have a seat until someone else come and walked off. If you want to be treated bad just to get your nails done go here but the pedicures are horrible they need a new crew.!!!!!! Overall I won't spend my money here ever again . read more

I enjoyed my time here with friendly, helpful staff. I am a first time client and was told it would take only an hour for a basic pedicure and manicure and that was exactly the time, with 10 min's to spare to ensure my nails dried by the nail fan. I loved the chair I sat in for the pedicure and it's massage while my feet soaked. Pana was my manicurist and very pleasant and easy to talk to. I had made an appt but walked in an hour early and they kindly accommodated me. Got the perfect nail color and was walked through each step easily. My chair neighbor was friendly too so and the rub's make your skin so soft, a wonderful experience for me. What a nice treat. read more
