I wish I had checked Yelp before going here. I needed a dress dry cleaned for a wedding. It had a few food/oil stains on it that I showed them, and they marked with tape. They quoted me $25, which is crazy but I thought maybe it was more due to the stains. When I picked it up, they just handed it to me not mentioning the stains. I lifted the plastic and saw that the stains were still there! The woman (who was brusque and rude for no reason when I dropped off the garment) kept repeating that they got ONE of the stains out, did not apologize, empathize, or explain why a couple stains remained. I thought at least they'd not charge me or discount the rate, but she just dug in her heels and got ruder, turning away from me even though I was calm and professional. I told her I wouldn't be coming back and she said "that's okay." I'm not used to this, as I get along with everyone, but between the rude staff member, the shoddy job, and the unprofessional handling of the issue, I'm kind of P.O.ed. I took a jacket to them last week to fix two holes on the front. I picked it up and what they did looked like a very unprofessional person stitched it. When I asked them about they were rude and grabbed the jacket from me. I said to the woman that I want my jacket back and she tossed it to me and walked away. read more

I've been going to 5 Star Cleaners for over a decade and since they've recently changed hands several months ago, I have had nothing but problems. I brought a pair of expensive business shorts in for a simple cleaning and they returned them with bleached stains. I recently dropped off a pair of expensive white capri pants and they gave me the wrong pair in return and then told me I never gave them the pants to begin with, so I'm out $200. I just recently dropped off 2 pairs of linen pants with some spots that were pointed out to the staff . I picked them up and the slacks had all the same spots nothing was cleaned only pressed. I returned she refunded my money and told me not to return. I would not recommend this establishment. They aren't interested in actually cleaning garments . read more

Terrible service. Dropped 6 shirts, 2 were damaged with big stains. I have been told this a soap issue. We will redo it for you. Two days after they returned home them not mentioning anything. I checked them before I left. The spot were even worse. They pretended that one of them was already there and the second one they are ready to redo it. I ask to be refunded. They started to be very aggressive and shouting on me in Chinese. I definitely not recommend this cleaners. Stay away!!! read more

I took my son's 2 suits here based on the previous review about the suit making the man look like James Bond. My son is handsome and doesn't need any help but his suits did. He had not dry cleaned them since he bought them over a year ago. Boy were they dirty! I dropped them off on a Thursday and picked them up on a Saturday! They looked brand new! Very clean and the creases were nice and crisp! The suits smelled good too not like the usual chemical dry cleaning smell.The price was reasonable and the services was very fast! Worst experience ever. Took a winter jacket (from target) in to get dry cleaned so that it lasted longer along with a wool sweater and the first thing that happens was the lady told me it was down and would cost 30 dollars. The tag says it's polyester filling (of course I checked the tag) and it's not an expensive Canada goose jacket. I told her it was polyester and she kept saying down and refused to budge on price. I should have just walked out then. BUT I'm new to the area and just needed my winter jacket cleaned for all these nor'easters. So finally after me insisting that was too much money for polyester she consulted someone else and told me 19.95 which is of course still too much but I just wanted to be done with it. 2 days later I get a call from her telling me it needs sewing ( I couldn't really understand her broken English but she insisted I come in). So the following morning I stop in and a different employee shows me my jacket with a tear at the sleeve seam where likely one of their wire hangers caught it and ripped it. It was in perfect condition when I dropped it off. I told them- I've already prepaid the cleaning which is already an overpayment and to just sew the seam on a machine in 10 seconds. He said that shouldn't be a hassle as it seemed easy and told me he still needed to consult the lady but he would call with any issues since I told him I refused to come back without a clean jacket. So 2 days later I go back (haven't heard a word) the jacket is ripped and unclean. After a 10 minute confusing convo- nothing is resolved: they just kept telling me they hadn't cleaned it (duh). Also they told me it would be 2 hours to repair the jacket! AWFUL. I insisted a refund, took my jacket home, sewed it myself, and washed it in the washer. Awful service, awful job, lied about shit to get more money, AND ripped my jacket. read more
