I've been using Green Jacket for the last nine years. Friendly honest personnel and very competent repairs. Long way from when I dropped shirts at Shea's for $.35 but that was sixty years ago. read more

I love this cleaners, they are the best! The nice Korean lady mends the small holes in my pants pocket free of charge and today, I brought in some clothes to be dry cleaned and my TUMI weekender duffel bag because there was a rip in the seam and she just stitched it back up for me for free in 5 minutes. She is the nicest person and always makes my day. I've been going to this place for years and they're awesome. read more

Great local dry cleaner and tailor right on the Waltham/Lexington border. The staff here is super friendly (but not in the annoying way), greets us at the counter right away, and always says thank you and goodbye. (I'm a big fan of courteousness and pleasantries.) They've taken care of my boyfriend's buttondown shirts for work for the past 2+ years with no problems (unlike Wal-Lex who was always cracking the buttons on his shirts--and then not replacing them). The more shirts you bring, the cheaper the price per unit. All the dresses, sweaters, coats, and pants I've brought here over the years have been perfectly cared for. Also, they use environmentally friendly cleaning agents and will recycle wire hangers, as well as all those plastic slipcover bags. Two thumbs up! read more

I brought a Theory leather skirt to Cleaner by Green Jacket for a hemline repair. They accepted the skirt, but couldn't quote me a price because their seamstress wasn't on-site at the moment. I left the skirt with them anyways, and called back later in the day to learn that leather work of this nature is "usually" less than $25. Ok, fine. When I picked up my skirt, it was on hanger, covered in a plastic bag. Pretty typical. I didn't look under the bag because I was in a rush. When I got home, I was horrified to see that they had PINNED my skirt, by the waist, to a paper covered wire hanger. What would possess them to shove safety pins through the waistline of a leather skirt? I fumed and considered bringing it back first thing in the morning to demand my money back, but ultimately decided that there's not a thing to say to people who would flagrantly damage a very expensive garment. The holes in my skirt's waistline are the result of this hack-shop's obvious disregard for their customer's garments. It's still wearable, yes, but jesus christ, get a clue. read more

Solid dry cleaner. Left some things in a pocket once and they bagged it up and attached them. Nice staff too and always willing to work on a deadline. read more

A green dry cleaner in Waltham....YAY! I was so happy to find this place. The employees are friendly and get you in and out quickly. I also appreciate that they don't put the plastic/paper tags on everything or at least they didn't on the first two trips. I was really impressed with the care they took with my sweater and some other delicate items I took in. Prices are a little high (hence 3 stars). I did not know about the hanger recycling thanks Yelpers! read more

Brought a bunch of shirts to launder. Got receipt saying one price. When I went to pick up shirts they tried charging me an extra $20 for 3 flannel shirts because they claim they could not machine press them. Have these shirts done at other cleaners regularly, no problems ever. I got the charges dropped as I had the original quote. But I will not be going back as I do not trust them. read more

Haven't had any items here lost which is good, but I have had a number of sweaters returned to me hanging on the hanger which has caused shoulder bumps. If the sweater is thick enough, they do know to fold them and hang them across the middle of the hanger, but with thinner sweaters, they don't always do that :( I just try to check my dry cleaning as soon as I pick it up so they don't sit too long and get ruined with shoulder bumps, but I'm thinking we need to find a new dry cleaner soon to keep my sweaters intact. read more

Used once, they pinned my linen dress to the hanger! What kind of dry cleaner chooses to put holes through clothing? Never again, go to Holly in Newton. read more

I have been coming to Green Jacket for years and have never had a problem until this week. On 7/29/19 I dropped $600 worth of clothes off after coming home from vacation. The slip said they would be ready for pick up on 8/2 after 1:00. I showed up at 10:00 am on 8/2 and gave them the slip. They acted a little strange and said the computer system was down. I just said I would come back and didn't think much of it as I was a few hours early anyway. Fast forward a few days and I go back on 8/6 to pick them up with the slip and they told me I picked them up on 8/1. They would not look for them, apologize or try to figure out what had happened. Their answer was I picked them up!! I became very angry and I insisted they start spinning the clothes around so I could look for myself. I spotted them and found them. I understand mistakes happen everywhere but they wanted no part in helping me or trying to resolve the issue. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. BAD BUSINESS!!!! read more

I have used them probably 8 times [8 shirts-4 pants EACH time.] This is a brief summary. * They will label/write your last name with black marker your shirts at the bottom. * Friendly Attention, what else would you expect, right? * They lost a total of 3 shirts in one lot * A total of 3 shirts were still dirty * Check your shirts before you walk out. You may have someone's shirt, not yours. * If you bring them back, do not expect to get yours. You may get $20 cash to compensate your missing shirt. But you will get the lame speech that it comes from his pocket. They both tried to combine some cash with $5 and $1 bills which I didn't accept, but a credit which I never claimed. I would give 2.5 stars, but I can't. I lost 3 of my nice shirts. read more

I dropped off to get a dress altered, and they couldn't quote me on a price because the alteration person was not there. When I returned to pick it up, it was uneven and looked poorly sewn, it was also $40!!! This is way too pricey, especially for the quality of their hem. My boyfriend dropped off pants to get altered a few days before me and when he finally called to ask if they were ready the woman said they have been waiting for him to call because they had trouble hemming the pants. Why they didn't call him to ask after an entire week? No idea!! They had all his information. All in all, poor quality and bad customer service. We both left unhappy and they didn't seem to care at all! I will take my business elsewhere! read more

I picked up a jacket that had a stain around the neck and they had assured me that they would get it off. About a week later I was going to wear the jacket and noticed the stain was still there. I brought it back and was sure they would stand behind their work. They said that I would have to pay again and accused me of wearing the jacket. They actually said they could smell the stain and it was fresh. You could tell the jacket had not been worn - it was still in the plastic bag and was perfectly pressed. I have been using their services for twenty seven years and I am totally disgusted with their attitude. They were rude and screaming - shame on them. I cannot believe they were accusing me of such a thing. They actually pointed out other stains that they had not cleaned and said were not there before. OMG - I have seen it all!!! I really could have afforded the $10.50. That was not the issued. A very disappointed and loyal customer. read more

I thought that the review below - pinning the linen dress was a fluke, who would do that, must have been some mistake! Mistake not......they used safety pins to pin my $160 wool Jcrew skirt to the paper part of the hanger. Who does that??? It left holes! The skirt was nicely cleaned though, so maybe for shirts they will just put them on the hanger and it will be fine, but i will NOT be bringing anymore skirts there. read more

I have been dropping of my pants for dry cleaning for a couple of years now and they have always come out great. Also, very honest people. Embarrassingly, I left some cash in my pants and had no idea. But they were honest enough to put the money in a small envelope and return back to me. read more

I've used these cleaners recently and had a positive experience. I got my garments back 4 business days after dropping them off just before Thanksgiving. I had a jacket and sweater cleaned that came back in perfect condition. read more

I've gone here for years for shirt laundry, dry cleaning, and alterations. I've never had any problems. Before I started going here I tried quite a few places but there were always frequent problems with the shirts such as broken buttons and discolored collars, enough so that I could never count on taking shirts on a business trip straight from the laundry. read more

It was convenient on my route and I appreciated the service on the phone and in person. I had a blazer needing cleaning.

So terrible! I gave them two chances (stupid me). The first time the jackets I sent in came back smelly dirty. Stupidly I thought I'd give them another chance since their location is nearby where I live. I then gave them two silk shirts. The first was an expensive blouse that had no discolorations (I sweat lightly but I do NOT wear anti-antiperspirant or perfume). It came back with big discolored blotches under each arm. I have had the same shirt dry cleaned at other cleaners (as well as the same blouse in a multitude of colors) and that has never happened. My other blouse had only been worn once before I gave it to them, and they put holes under one of the arms. After I complained the staff said the owner won't do anything about the two ruined blouses. They said that colored blouses get discolored often. Bull! I have dry cleaned many a colored silk blouse, including the one they ruined. And it has never happened. And on the second blouse they gave me some lecture about how the holes were there before. Wearing a new blouse for two hours will not create holes. BE WARNED!!! THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING and have TERRIBLE customer support. read more

Used them once and was very happy with the results. Dropped off bunch of clothes for the 2nd time the other day. They called me 1 hour later, letting me know they found a ring. I knew exactly which ring they were talking about.... It was a diamond ring that I thought I had lost - imagine my delight!! I so appreciated their honesty; I don't think it is common these days. I don't do a lot of dry cleaning, but when I need it I will be going back to this store! read more
