Note we only got drinks, but our experience was five star. We tried the Taro lover with boba and Signature premium brown sugar latte. Both were yummy. The place was popping inside. Easy access. Tons of to go orders! Will definitely be trying their food sometime

Late to the Five Spice party, but I'm glad to have arrived late than never. I'm usually not a fan of restaurants that serve the foods of various Asian countries under one roof, but Five Spice is an exception. No matter the order, all the food comes out delicious, hot, and fast. They have THE BEST pot stickers (if you like a thick wonton), and though tofu is not top of the list of my orders at other places, I somehow always end up ordering the mapo tofu every time I'm here. The servers are also super efficient and kind, and the overall vibe is very cozy and comfort foods and like I'm being taken care of by family members. The restaurant is also attached to a boba tea shop that also has a wide selection of drinkable yums, so there's literally something for everyone. Cost is on-par as well. Lastly, being able to support local is always a plus.

My review is because they offer Spicy Boiled Beef on their menu! I don't come across it often. Maybe I don't get out as much? Either way, I loved it! There was also a garlic pepper shrimp that was really good. We had Egg rolls, Crab Rangoons, Edamame and Beef fried rice. Everything was really good. It's also a nice sit down spot. I've been in the area for about 9 years and have never given it a try. I'm glad I did because I will definitely be going back for the Mapo Tofu! I didn't try it but it's also a dish that I enjoy. They also serve Boba Teas. I had green tea to go with my meal. I was happy that it was not a teabag in a cup. I was given a nice little tea kettle with a filter so you could see the tea leaves/contents. I had a pleasant experience. Christina was our server and she was great! She was very attentive and checked up on us frequently. She took time to answer any questions about our meals and dishes. We also had an older male server. He was also very nice and also very attentive. Definitely check this place out!

It's so hard to find good old Chinese food. I just can't get enough of this place. All the basic Chinese items are delicious. Our favorite is the dynamite shrimp and any of the fried rices, especially the Malaysian one. I also love their Mongolian beef, we get it every time. We tried to get something non-basic like some eggplant dish and it wasn't very good. Service is fast and the restaurant ambiance is really nice. They have a back room that can seat like 20 people. We used it for my brother's birthday. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

    Malaysian Steak Fried Rice

This is hands down the best Chinese food I've had in the area. The Malaysian steak fried rice was absolutely huge and delicious. The steak was tender and peppery and the rice had this delicious buttery flavor. I also got egg rolls and gyoza which were perfectly cooked and fresh. Will be ordering here again soon!

Amazing gem in Roselle. The menu has many choices including gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, lactose free, and for us carnivores. Drink menu has sake, handcrafted beer, wines, cocktails, bottled beer, teasing, bubble teas and more. We started with egg rolls and pancake scallion bites. They provide four sauces! My favorite is the chili oil, but there is also ginger, Wasabi and sweet sauce. All made in house. Entrees were sesame peanut noodles and Mongolian beef. So good. The seafood options look great. Ramen and small plates too. Leave room for dessert, bubble waffles, machine, sesame balls and cake of the day. Supurb.

Great food and service. The garlic shrimp were so delicious. The popcorn chicken app was great! The chow fun beef gravy dish was so so good. Everything was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back. Great service too. Very attentive and kind.

Came here for a quick dinner and I can tell they lowered the quantities on my 2 favorite dishes. Quality- same quality which is good. The food is still delicious. Quantity- the fish is about 2/3 the size of the one I got last month. It was a bit upsetting since the price is the same. Atmosphere- good, no change Service- good, no change

Had such a taste for real Chinese food and this made me so happy! We used to go to Silver Lake restaurant and now they lived to this location, sharing the same parking lot. The space is brighter and more modern. Boba and some other dishes were added (ie ramen) but we will always go for the traditional! Great service with kind people. Food was terrific - we'll be back again... and again.

I SAW A MOUSE CRAWLING INSIDE THIS RESTAURANT! AFTER ALREADY SEEING A ROACH IN THE BATHROOM…read more I dined here on 8/7 and was seated near the bathroom/hallway leading toward the kitchen. I first saw what appeared to be a roach in the bathroom and tried to brush it off. Then I saw a MOUSE crawling inside the restaurant. My food had just arrived, I took one bite, and immediately lost my appetite, not to mention ton the food looked like it was a dollar store microwaveable dinner! There were also mops and piles of clothing/belongings sitting in the hallway near the kitchen area, which only added to my concerns about cleanliness. What made it worse was the response. There was no manager available, staff acted like I was making the mouse up, refused to take my concern seriously, and still made me pay for food I couldn't stomach eating after what I witnessed. Seeing both a roach and a mouse during ONE visit is enough for me. I have filed a formal health department complaint requesting an inspection. I would absolutely not eat here again.

The fried tofu, fried rice and noodle dishes would highly recommend. They are our staple dishes. The industrial decor with open ceilings make the space appear open and spacious. The wait staff seemed very busy managing tables. Service wasn't slow, but definitely felt their restaurant is always at capacity which is a good problem to have! The Din Tai Fung of Illinois is finally here!…read more My family and I have been chasing the high of Din Tai Fung's soup dumplings for years, but there has always seemed to be an absence of restaurants like this in the Midwest. Thankfully, Phat Phat stepped in to fill that gap. We drove 30 miles for a late lunch around 2:30 p.m. to hopefully beat the crowds. There's a huge parking lot in the back, the building itself is incredibly unique, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. It feels modern while still being warm and inviting. We wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we ordered two baskets of the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, the Enoki Mushroom appetizer, Chicken Fried Rice, Phat Phat Chicken, Nasi Campur, and finished the meal with the Mango Sago. Everything was incredible. The soup dumplings definitely filled the void that Din Tai Fung left behind. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. The Mango Sago was the perfect palate cleanser and a refreshing way to end the meal on a hot summer day. The standout for me was the Enoki Mushroom appetizer. That will be a must-order every time we come back. We also have Indonesian family and have visited Bali, so we were excited to try the Nasi Campur. It was spot on. The satay is another must-order in my opinion. Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the rest of the staff were just as welcoming and pleasant. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we'll absolutely be back.

The chicken wing appetizer needed more time (pink meat), and the tempura on the tempura don entree was super doughy, white and not crispy - resulting in a bowlful of limp shrimp and veggies that were further affected by a large dousing of a gloopy sauce. Very unappetizing. Couldn't eat it. Off night or bad menu pick - one of the two. Really attentive and caring service, as usual - except a delayed beer replenishment.
