    Board games (Jan 2026)
    Luke L.

Five Point Five Brewing is a Filipino owned business located in El Segundo. I recently came here to attend Filipino Mahjong Night, but this neighborhood brewery hosts other events like Paint & Sip, Monthly Beerio Kart, Backgammon on Tap, Tabletop Game Night, etc. The brewery focuses on hockey games as I can see the brewery hanging various local hockey league banners. They have an outdoor patio area, but everyone just sat inside of the brewery. They have board games here. [Parking]: Easy and free street parking. [Menu]: For food, they offer Los Angeles Style pizzas. The Yelp top highlighted item is The Jeepney (Filipino style pizza). For pizza, customers can order half or full pizza. They also have snacks like pretzels, tater tots, dino nuggets, and Tokyo tots. *** The Jeepney (smoked Filipino sausage, onions & sweet peppers, ube yams - $12 for half): The pizza felt like a Detroit-style pizza and half pizza = two square slices of pizza. The pizza tasted alright, but the portion definitely felt a bit small. *** A pretty nice local brewery with chill vibe and I can see myself coming back here for other events, but don't expect to walk out with a full stomach unless there's an expectation to order and eat a whole pizza all by yourself (which is possible given the portion is pretty small).

I remember coming here a few years ago when it was under a different name. The place is festive and has a great array of beers. I really enjoyed the Sweet Melissa Belgian double IPA. It was full of complex flavors. They also have a very delicious menus of deep dish pizzas. I loved the crispy, cheesy pepperoni and arugula version. They have several big screen TV's to watch your favorite games.

Oktoberfest today: Citrus hazy and chocolate stout

Stopped by for Oktoberfest. Appreciated that the menu has multiple IPAs and dark beers. We enjoyed these: Citrus Aftermath hazy IPA German chocolate stout Ran into an old co-worker! It was also a very tame day with a USC weekend reunion taking place. The board games and TVs kept us occupied. The beer pong was funny to watch for a bit. As the prices are a wee steep for a low key brewery, this isn't going to be our neighborhood hang. Thanks tho

This place is definitely slept on. Excellent beers, excellent pizza, service is amazing, and they have the Dodger games! What more could you ask for out of a brewery. Place has a cozy vibe with a nice outdoor section. Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a more chill and relaxed brewery with great beers!

Stopped by here on a Saturday night, luckily made it in before last call. We didn't grab any food but the drinks were great and the service even better. The place has plenty of seating inside and outside. The seating inside was very comfortable and relaxing for enjoying your drink. They also had an assortment of games to chose from, which was great because we had kids with us.

Decent pizza at this brewery. The beer was ok. Lots of variety with ipas, wit, stouts, kolsch and whatnot. The space is very bright and inviting a mixture of benches, couches, and small coffee table like seat and tables. There is an outdoor patio section which is nice when it's not raining. The staff was nice and good with explaining their beers. The pizza was great. I tried the jeepnep and it was slightly greasy but the bread and toppings were good. The tater tots were a little bit soggy or undercooked. Maybe it was fried too fast without enough time to crisp. Overall decent place to be at for a happy hour after work and trivia on Thursdays nights.

Very Welcoming brewery! We came for the stout... Tank Farm was delicious. We also ordered the German Chocolate Cake - Chocolate Vanilla Stout. Very smooth. Great for beginners and for the experienced. Don't miss trying the Citrus Aftermath IPA. Great for someone who doesn't like IPA's. Thanks Michelle for being so welcoming and introducing me to a great IPA. We will come back when we are in town again

We had a great time at the brewery. The woman at the bar is very nice and we met one of the owners who was great. We had two half pizzas, the Jeepney and GTX Muscle Car, and both were delicious. The beers: King Kolsch (great) John Wit (good) Jolli Beer Peach Mango Lager (great) Proud Mary Irish Red nitro (very good) German Chocolate Cake Stout (great) There is plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor and lots of space. We will be back.

I never knew this brewery existed until a co-worker told me about it. It's near Downtown El Segundo in an unassuming area that would have such a place. I went after work on a weekday, and it was a bit quiet. It was almost like we had the place to ourselves. Food and drinks are good.

Really like this spot! Not only is it Filipino owned (let's goooo), but overall really great service, selection of drinks, and food. Prices felt on par with other breweries in El Segundo. Lots of seating inside and outside. Always have events (trivia on Thursdays!) and they also have board games. Just taking off a star because finding parking can be bad :(

We ordered a side of fries......perfect. My friend ordered the black garlic honey habanero chicken sandwich with green salad.....perfect. Really ample portions as well. Service was really stellar and totally in tune with the setting. Zane and Katie handled all of the diners with ease and a very pleasant helpfulness and kind spirit. Kudos to them. The ambience is definitely upbeat with your choice of sports on multiple big screens and so is a bit boisterous but not rowdy and there are retreats within the establishment which are a bit separate from the sports energy in the main dining area.. Well I got a "yeah" umm well it be nice if she could communicate this. Well I asked for menus and didn't get a very welcoming vibe. The gentleman that assisted us with our orders was kind and polite. Food was ok, not a huge fan. Beer selection was ok. We chose to do the wrist band where they charge for how much you pour but when we poured it was a lot of foam and we had to re pour which we get charged for that too. So wasn't a fan of that. Probably wouldn't visit again. Was really disappointed.

This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. The beer menu, as one would expect with "pint" in the name, is extensive with lots on tap and "guest" brewery selections. Lots of wines to choose from as well. Slice and Pint may be local to El Segundo (lucky El Segundonians!) But my experience with this one slice is that it would be worth the drive from anywhere in SoCal to eat here...If you love NYC-style thin slices...like real legitimate ones...charge up the car and get yourself there.

That's what made the beer letdown even more confusing. I walked in with high expectations and still left disappointed. I ordered a michelada since I was with someone who had never tried one before. It definitely hit the spot, but it wasn't anything crazy. Solid, I'd give it a 7.7 out of 10. After that, I tried a flight, and surprisingly everything came across as average at best. Their lager was extremely bland and reminded me of Natty Light. To be fair, it's meant to be a light, easy-drinking beer, so I can give them that. I also tried the Limango, Cosmic Zoo, and Lunar Kitten. The Limango tasted a little flat. The lime and mango were present, but so subtle that it didn't feel as refreshing as expected. I had high hopes for Cosmic Zoo, but it ended up being disappointing and lacking character. The Lunar Kitten was last, and I honestly don't even remember the flavor, which kind of says it all. There was a big football game on, so the energy in the space was great and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but it did make me wonder whether people were there for the beer or just the ambiance. I'll probably go back at some point, but not on my own accord.

The crew behind the counter is always welcoming, knows their beer, and actually remembers people and what they like. It has that rare neighborhood feel where you don't just grab a drink and leave. You feel like part of something. The rotating food vendors are solid, and being able to bring your own food is a big plus. The space itself is great. It's tucked right off Rosecrans with both indoor and outdoor seating. The garage doors open things up so you still get that beach breeze even if you're inside. Only real downside is parking right in front can be tough, but if you're willing to walk a block, Hawthorne and Rosecrans usually have spots. We even hosted a party here in 2025 and the experience was smooth from start to finish. Chris made everything easy. Communication was mostly over email, super clear and responsive, and they took the time to walk us through the space in person when we had questions. The upstairs area is very nice though can run a little warm. Thankfully, they have fans! We opted for the patio since I like the open air and it gave us extra room. Very helpful and accommodating and a super reasonable minimum spending amount. We had around 30 people and it never felt cramped. A bunch of our friends have come back on their own since, which says a lot. And yeah, the beer. It's that good. There are a lot of strong breweries around here, but this one hits different. The Hazy Lil Daisy IPA is a go to, and their seasonal and themed releases are always fun and creative without sacrificing quality. They also make it easy for non drinkers to feel included with solid options like NA seltzers, sodas, and juices (which works great for my wife)!
