Saw their truck at North Bend Farmer Market and I ordered their special menu. It was super delicious. Everything on their menu is tasty. I wish they could have a restaurant so I can come in and eat anytime I want.

Found their food truck at the Bellevue Arts Fair on Saturday. Lady taking orders was super friendly, accommodating too. Food came out fast and fresh. I got the seared ahi bowl- super tender fresh fish with perfect amount of salt. Veggies were grilled to be cooked but not mushy or bitter. I even liked the asparagus, and I normally hate asparagus. Rice was rice but tasted fresh. Fries a bit too salty for me but fries are just like that- the cook on them was perfect though. 10/10- love this place!

Great seafood at a reasonable price. Best fish I have had for a long time! Once you start eating it's hard to stop. Really like how fresh it is and how they pay attention to detail. Only grip is about the handling of the clam chowder, handing it out prior to the main meal would cause it to get cold, so I would recommend to ensure it gets kept in the warmer. Highly recommend this food truck!

We ordered both cod and halibut fish & chips, so it was great to be able to try both for our first order from Five Hooks. Both were super crisp and had good flavor, the fries were also crisp-neither which are easy feats for take out fish and chips. Salt level was perfect ,even the fries and I loved that neither were over salted as they are at so many restaurants now. But darn, although hubs' fish was perfect, I had bones in one of each piece. And although it can be challenging to remove all bones from fish, sometimes, I cannot ever recall having bones in my fried fish. Sooo, this is why a 3 star review. Since hubs fish had none, tho, guessing this is not the norm We really appreciated their Covid safety protocols and super nice staff.

We had their fish and chips and it was the best we ever had!!! Excellent customer service!!! We look forward to trying their food again. We loved the location they were at too near the water and with lights and benches. Look on their website for their next location. Highly recommend!!! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR9MxkGQ/

At first the katsu burger looked messy with the mayo, which made the crunchiness to be wanted. That said, it was really frickin good. If it had iceberg lettuce and less sauce we think it would be a solid 10. For the bacon burger, this had a lot of flavors that were simple and great. Service was quick, waited around 5 minutes for the burgers to come out. It's a smaller shop with 4 tables, so seating might be limited during rush hours. Highly recommend it for an affordable meal with lots of options! And if you're a burger lover, this place will not disappoint!

A/C reduces the humidity as well. Being sticky and muggy while eating sucks! Change this! We melt in the PNW above 72F! WTHeck? Customers comfort before saving pennies! Install ceiling fans to move the air as well would help. Besides the customer is always right. Get the A/C fixed or UPGRADED. Otherwise the place is nice. The tables and chairs appear to be made from SOLID WOOD! Impressive quality. A good layout that is not loud or echoing. The wait staff was awesome. She was so apologetic about the heat. I felt bad for the workers in that hot environment. Service was prompt and drinks refilled in a timely manner. The order was right. It was a little slow to arrive but there was a large party in the main area, right of the front door. I ordered Teriyaki chicken. Sorry that was NOT TERIYAKI! It was BBQ sauce chicken. LEARN what teriyaki is. Try Dr Yoshida's sauce to marinade it atleast. Once I accepted my expectation of teriyaki was dashed, it was excellent. The chicken was moist and tender. Not like some that are tough old birds. It has a good, not to sweet BBQ, tomato sauce flavor. The dinner salad with it's croutons was great. The Thousand Island was homemade and good. The rice pilaf had real, large, tender chunks of carrots and was delicious. When they did not have white rice with the teriyaki I should have suspected something, yet the pilaf was excellent. The portions are HUGE! Be prepared to take some home or be filled! The pies looked great, but had NO room for them! Darn. A side note, the LOUNGE section WAS COOL like the restaurant should be.

Right off the bat, the hostess stood out. She was genuinely engaging and welcoming (wish I had caught her name), and we were seated immediately in the bar area. It was a little past the lunch rush--around 2 PM--so it was nice and relaxed, which made for a comfortable, easygoing vibe. We went back and forth trying to beat the lunch cutoff or just lean into the happy hour menu, and ended up doing a bit of both. We split a Caesar salad, which was fresh and really well done. For the main, we had the bacon avocado chicken wrap with tots--great flavor, definitely a solid choice. The only knock was the tots were a little on the cooling-off side and didn't quite hit the mark... although I still managed to finish them. To drink, I went with a Sky Kraken Pale Ale, which was excellent (and yes, there's photo evidence). Hey I'm retired now, I can drink at lunch! Overall, really enjoyable stop--good food, great service, and a laid-back atmosphere. We'd absolutely come back again. Solid 4 stars.

The space is simple and functional, with wooden tables, a laid-back setup, and that unmistakable energy of people ready to dig into messy, hands-on seafood boils. It's the kind of place where gloves, napkins, and cracking shells are all part of the experience, and that authenticity adds to the charm. The star of the visit was Combo #6, a generous spread that comes loaded with 1 lb of mussels, 1 lb of snow crab, 1 lb of shrimp, along with potatoes and corn. On paper, it sounds like a seafood feast--and visually, it absolutely delivers when it hits the table, drenched in their signature house special sauce. Starting with the mussels, they soak up the sauce beautifully. Each bite is juicy and briny, with that ocean flavor amplified by the rich, garlicky, buttery kick of the house sauce. The seasoning doesn't just sit on the surface--it seeps into every shell, making each bite bold and satisfying. The snow crab is easily one of the highlights. The meat is tender, slightly sweet, and pulls cleanly from the shell. Paired with the house sauce, it hits that perfect balance between natural seafood sweetness and spicy, savory richness. It's messy, indulgent, and exactly what you want from a Cajun-style boil. The shrimp are equally impressive--plump, well-cooked, and easy to peel. They carry the sauce exceptionally well, giving you that full punch of flavor in every bite without being overpowered. The texture is spot-on, not rubbery or overdone, which can sometimes be a gamble with seafood boils. Even the sides--potatoes and corn--deserve recognition. They might seem like fillers, but here they act as flavor sponges, absorbing all that seasoned sauce and delivering surprisingly satisfying bites in between the seafood. They help round out the meal and keep it from feeling one-dimensional. What really ties everything together is that house special sauce. It's rich, garlicky, buttery, slightly spicy, and deeply flavorful--arguably the backbone of the entire experience. It's the kind of sauce that makes you want extra bread or rice just to soak up every last drop, and it's consistently praised as a standout feature of the restaurant. That said, while the flavors are undeniably strong, the biggest drawback comes down to value. Combo #6 sits at a noticeably high price point (around the mid-$90 range), and while the quality and taste are there, the portion doesn't quite feel like it fully justifies the cost. You get a good spread, but not an overwhelming one--especially if you're sharing or expecting a truly massive boil for that price. It leans more toward a "treat yourself" meal rather than something you'd regularly order without thinking twice. Some diners have also noted that prices have crept up over time while portions haven't significantly increased, reinforcing that slight mismatch between cost and quantity. Overall, Crawfish Chef delivers where it matters most--flavor. Combo #6 is rich, satisfying, and packed with well-seasoned seafood that keeps you reaching for the next bite. The house sauce alone makes it memorable. However, the higher price tag makes it feel more like an occasional indulgence rather than a go-to value meal. If you're craving a flavorful, hands-on seafood boil experience in Kent, it absolutely hits the spot--but just be prepared to pay a bit more than you might expect for the amount you get.
