I don't like Five Guys. This place made me like Five Guys. After several other Five Guys locations throughout the years, I decided to remove this particular fast food chain off of my list of indulgences, and the reason was because their burgers were consistently poor and their fries even poorer and cold. This changed yesterday when I tried the one in Park Royal. First thing I noticed was how clean the place was and orderly and the service matched the environment. Friendly and efficient. The Burgers were beautifully put together. Not overcooked and not squashed like most Five Guys, and the fries were the highlight. Stunningly cut and served piping hot fresh. All I gotta say is..... The Park Royal Five Guys made me give Five Guys another shot. Well done. read more

I would say this Five Guys location is my least favorite. The staff are not very enthused at this location, I don't feel very welcomed at times. I came here to get a burger, drink and fries. I wanted a specific drink but they ran out and when I told the staff, she just ignored me and told me that she will let her manager know. Her manager is no where to be seen. The burger was ok. I had better Five Guys burger at another location. Their fries were not as good as their other locations as well. Parking here is horrible. It is like a war zone every time I come to Park Royal. On one positive note at least the restaurant is well maintained and clean. read more

Pretty solid options and value strictly for the toppings which are included with every burger order. Service is friendky and pretty quick given the many customizations available. The fries are great! Pro tip: don't bother taking the fries out of the bag; rather, take the burger(s) out, then tear the bag open and enjoy the fries in the bag. Appreciated the fresh, never frozen beef patty - the beef flavour was very prominent. When I am down and need to stuff myself with a cheese burger and fries, this is where I go. The reason I like this place besides the free peanuts is that the tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles and jalapeños I like to put in my cheese burger is always fresh at this place. For a ten dollar burger, ingredients are surprisingly good. Another reason I like this place is that burgers are made to order so it's always freshly made for you. Same can't be said for other fast food outlets where certain burgers are pre made and sitting under a heat lamp. Only thing they can improve on is to slightly toast the bun on the grill to make it more toasty. The bun is the weak link at this place. A more toasty bun would make it a five star burger. I ordered a cheese burger with fries and a drink. It came up to $14. The burger was very average, the buns were toasted, cold and dry. They felt kinda stale. I went back and told them I wanted another burger with buns that weren't so dry and toasted. They gave me another burger and the buns were again dry, cold and toasted felt border line stale. Very disappointed with the overall taste. In my opinion this was not worth the money I paid. The fries were amazing. They were tasty and crispy! Fantastic burgers and real fresh fries. A real old fashioned burger joint that gets it exactly right. Everything is fresh, not frozen. Maybe those who didn't like it are just used to frozen beef. Seriously. Lots of free toppings, choose just what you want. Excellent grilled onions. Burger was flavorful and juicy. Price was $7.80 for a double hamburger, a single costs $5.99. you can also get a hot dog for $4.69, or a grilled cheese for $4.49. Free peanuts in the shell while you wait. Simple. Basic. My first time trying five guys. I've never known this existed. Since many restaurants were closed, I had to come here to try. Well it was not bad to try. I'm glad I came here, so I could try its food. The fries is super expensive and not worth to get and not even worth to try even though its fresh. Its just soggy and the seasoning is basic. Nothing special from its expensive fries. The burger concept is quite interesting. Quite expensive for a fresh made burger. The burger is served without any condiments, so you can choose your own unlimited condiments in any way you like it. Yes it is unlimited. I didn't take a photo since I was super hungry already and not pretty enough to be taken a photo of so yeah. I would say it is good to try, but I would not come back since it is quite expensive and not worth the taste for its price. read more

This review is mainly focused on their burgers and service. The taste is usually consistent but its rather the quality of which it comes out that is varied. Such as today I was missing one patty from my two patty burger and I didn't find out until I got home and opened my burger. Their lettuce is very messy and my brother got a chunk of the bottom part of the lettuce which he just took out cause it was gross. The price of the burgers are also pretty expensive so whenever I go I make sure the burger I get is the one I ordered. What made my experience worse is the wait time I had to endure while I was there. Many people who paid after me were served before me. Even though there is around 5 people working at a time, it takes a long time for one person to construct a burger. In the future I will start standing next to the line area where they make the burgers so I can see my burger being made. It shouldn't be difficult to follow the order on the receipt. read more

Best fast-food burger in town, and who doesn't love a double patty? Not the cheapest option out there, but huge burgers and a copious amount of fries. The free peanuts are a great touch. Free refills on drinks is also a great feature, something a lot of places (A&W cough cough) are getting rid of to cut costs. The only complaint here is the wait during peak hours - for a "fast" food place, service and the food preparation can be quite slow. read more

I'm all for a fresh, hot, thick burger. What I love about Five Guys is that it looks extremely appetizing. It's a huge burger with tons of toppings that I could never compete with at home. But it lacks that extra "umph". I've been to the Park Royal location many times, only to find the final result a tad lackluster. Either the burger has light seasoning or a topping is missing/barely there. Always an A- but never an A. Still, it's got a great Diner feel and free peanuts. The fries are amazing, and thanks a trillion for dumping a heap extra into the bag for every order. Will still visit you guys occasionally, but add a bit more seasoning on my account :) read more

We come here regularly and love the burgers, and usually order the lettuce bun. they're usually pretty good, generous amounts of lettuce and toppings. today was a bit disappointing because it felt like the girls just slapped the burgers together and barely wrapped it. they were super soggy and the watery "juices" ended up ripping a hole through the bag and leaked all over the car. not to mention made it extremely messy and difficult to eat. would just like them to put a little more care into putting the burgers together, but otherwise great burgers. read more

Worked out fairly expensive for just a burger and fries. I could go to a bar and order better quality burger and fries for same price or less! Burger was dry and tasteless. I asked for all toppings. But yet it still tasted dry! I had to put ketchup on it just to wet it a bit to make it edible.. I would've preferred it cooked a little less and have some juice remaining. The fries are cooked in peanut oil. I've never tried that before and was excited by prospect.. but.. ugh! Okay, this is a personal taste thing I think.. but to my taste buds, they were worst tasting fries I've ever had! Fries weren't hot either.. which would've been a problem if I enjoyed them..
