    Donut holes

Had to try the famous Tim Hortons while in Canada! And I wish we didn't. We waited in a long line for donut holes and a breakfast sandwich that were dry and nothing spectacular. We used napkins to clean the crumbs and stains off dirty tables before eating. The cherry on top was the cashier's cold attitude.

Donuts, danish, Timbits, and the classic steeped tea - hooray!

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE 3.5 stars: the larger size of the location, easy parking, and the ability to get to this location on the North Shore without walking into Park Royale make this Tim's stand out from a number of others! === 2. FOOD The food choices are pretty standard across Tim's in Canada and the softness/freshness of the baked goods really depend on timing - when you go in relation to when they reheat the pre-made items. At 4:00 pm in the afternoon on this day it was: - Maple Pecan Danish ($1.69) - nice! - Old-Fashioned Blueberry Donut ($1.19) - soft! - Maple Dip Donut ($1.19) - already going hard :( - An assortment of Timbits ($0.29 each) - Birthday Cake being good for toddlers as it turns out :) - Large Orange Steeped Tea ($2.02) - nicely steeped === 3. SERVICE Pretty standard for what is typically take-out style - as usual, use your app and be sure to ask for a receipt (if you need one) since they don't give them out by default! === 4. ATMOSPHERE It's a little larger than a number of locations in town - or at least it seems to be if you were to combine the tables on both sides of the counter. Other than that, it's standard fare decor-wise like all other Tim's. Wheelchair- and stroller-friendly, there is plenty of convenient parking out front in the shopping complex lot.

Croissant was alright. It was fresh and slightly better than the grocery store. Service was fast and straightforward.

I don't know what to write here. It like any other Tim Hortons. To me all Tim Hortons are the same. I can't see the difference maybe the location. Its busy. This Tim Horton has free parking because its in a mall. Its in a convenient location.

I come here almost every morning for my morning coffee. The service is fast and friendly. The wifi is excellent. You'll always find a place to sit, I really like sitting next to the fireplace in the corner. My favourite thing to eat is the everything bagel with cream cheese and a medium double double. I see students in here quite a bit studying so it's a good place to do your homework.

10 pack of TimBits and a medium french vanilla latte all cost less than 5 CAD

We enjoyed hanging out at Tim Hortons on our trip as it seemed like a very Canadian thing to do. The drinks were really yummy and not overly sweet and the prices were quite fair. Service was nothing special to note but it wasn't bad either. Each time though, my husband was unimpressed with his food items. He liked the TimBits but they weren't amazing, and he wasn't crazy about his chive and cheese bagel on the second visit. All this to say we would probably return as it was a cheap and decent option for breakfast.

We arrived early yet the place was already full, vibrant energy throughout the cafe. The decor had lots of funky and antique items, which added to the relaxing theme. After waiting for about twenty minutes, it was our turn to sit down and eat good food! Our waitress was a friendly lady who welcomed us and brought water. After browsing the items on the menu, my friend chose The Tater Bowl and I picked Mushroom N' Ricotta Benedict. Finally, when our orders arrived, we were ready to eat! The portion was so generous and everything was cooked just right. We were so full at the end, so we didn't get a chance to try other items. Friendly service, delicious food and warm vibe- you can't go wrong here! A must-try if you are visiting Vancouver!

The bowl was very hearty hott mess in a good way. Very filling, tasty with all the good bits of bacon, ham, sausage gravy all throughout. I had to take half home as it was a bit much for me. Wifeys Benny was decent, the hollandaise was more mayoee than regular hollandaise and there was a sweet drizzle on the eggs I personally was not a fan but I can see it's appeal to others. Serving size are very decent. Overall this location is good and we will visit again. Lovely servers, good food and atmosphere!

K's chicken burger seemed a little light on the flavour side of the equation, and frankly needed a smaller plate so it would look like a bigger serving. She opted for the tater tots, instead of fries, which tasted good, of a little salty, and shy on portion. Our server was great, kept checking up on us, and was pleasantly attentive. I had The Classic which came with Eggs, mushroom & broccolini, potato rosti, baked beans, roasted tomato and housemade sourdough. We also ordered a Nutelle Hot Chocolate and Matcha Oat Latte. I loved The Classic. While I do enjoy trying new things all the time, I think I'm a Classic girl at heart. I often fight the urge to order the tried and true for the sake of trying new things, but I'm ever so happy on those occasions where I give in and order something more Classic. Baked beans and toast remind me of family trips to England. Havn't gone for one of those in years, but I do have some good memories of them. When they're on sale here, we sometimes like to buy cans of Heinz British style baked beans, and I sometimes make my own homemade version of baked beans to store in our freezer. I don't often see baked beans on brunch menus so this was a bit of a special occasion for me to be able to order something with baked beans for brunch. Personally, I would have preferred the beans to have been just a little bit softer. Nothing wrong with them. They were fully cooked but perhaps just a little bit firmer than I'd have liked. I prefer my beans very soft and I tend to be like that with a lot of foods in general. My hubby prefers his foods firmer, and I like my foods softer. It's a personal preference. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed this dish and am very likely to order it again sometime! Oh, the potato rosti in my dish was awesome as well. This meal was so filling though that I only ate one small corner of the potato rosti and then took the rest home to eat as I was very full already from everything else I had eaten from the plate.

Jam Cafe, Vancouver Jam Cafe is my favorite brunch spot. Anywhere. That sounds like an exaggeration. It isn't. I've been traveling to Vancouver for work for almost a decade, and every single trip includes a stop at Jam. If I'm lucky, two. I've also become that coworker who convinces everyone to meet outside at 7:45 in the morning so we can be part of the first seating at 8:00. Thankfully, we're all from the East Coast and have been awake since 5:00 anyway. Over the years I've successfully JAMfluenced more business travelers than I'd like to admit. And yes, it's still worth the wait even if you're not first in line. The restaurant itself is tiny. Cozy farmhouse vibes, mismatched decorations covering the walls, and maybe 15 tables between the dining room and patio. It feels more like someone's favorite neighborhood breakfast spot than one of Vancouver's brunch institutions. The menu is comfort food turned up to eleven. Everything is indulgent, creative, and somehow still balanced. You can tell the kitchen starts with great ingredients because every component tastes like it could stand on its own. I try to branch out every visit... and then usually end up ordering the Tater Tot Bowl anyway. Crispy tater tots, buffalo sauce, Mexican street corn relish, and ridiculously good pulled pork. It's the kind of dish that sounds like it shouldn't work, but every bite somehow gets better than the last. And then there are the cinnamon roll pancakes. They are enormous. They're also one of the best brunch dishes I've ever eaten. Birdfluencer Lorraine M. declared them the best pancakes she's ever had, and after several visits, I don't have much of an argument. Service is exactly what it needs to be. Friendly, efficient, and quick. The staff knows there's a line forming outside before the doors even open, but you never feel rushed. Overall, Jam Cafe has officially become part of my Vancouver tradition. At this point, a work trip to the city doesn't really start until I've had breakfast here. If you're visiting Vancouver and only have time for one brunch, this would be my pick without a second thought.

For example, the Chicken French Toast is a quirky marriage of chicken and waffles and sweet French toast. It was a creative sweet-and-savory combination: thick-cut brioche French toast topped with crispy buttermilk-fried chicken thighs, hot honey, tangy pickled cabbage, and jalapeño sour cream. The sweetness from the brioche and honey balanced nicely with the crunchy chicken, the acidity from the cabbage, and the mild kick from the jalapeño. Coffee and other hot drinks are served in thick, diner-style mugs, which I love. I also recommend the lavender lemonade mimosa. Our server was very nice and had a small chat with us at the end. The interior is designed with lots of vintage elements that you might see in an escape room. Overall, a great brunch spot.

The combination of flavors, the runny egg yolks, the gooeyness of the cheese...it was just such a wonderfully comforting and belly warming meal. I saw a Cinnamon Honey Latte on the board and decided to order that for my drink. These days, I can never tell when the word "Latte" is being used to describe a coffee beverage or whether it's being used to describe a beverage that has milk in it. A Matcha latte for example, tends to just be a sweetedned Matcha beverage with milk in it. No coffee thrown in. I was kinda hoping this Cinnamon Honey Latte would be milk with cinnamon and honey thrown in. It turned out to be a coffee beverage. No complaints about it. It's on me for assuming that it was milk with cinnamon and honey thrown in. I should have probably asked our server about the beverage before simply ordering it. Will make sure to do that if/when we end up here again. Kinda had my eye on the Turkish Apple Tea though so might just order that next time and the whole "Latte" dilemma wouldn't be an issue with that. My daughter's Avocado Toast looked super yummy as well. Might try ordering that next time, although Michelangelo's Mediterranean Spread was also kinda calling out to me!

Each individual ingredient paired with the rest is not only creative but culinarily harmonious. Imagine....a perfectly toasted crisp butter croissant with a thinly covered sliver of Tomato Jam, a delicate spread of smashed avocado and perfectly seasoned steamed Spinach all topped with a medium poached egg taking a final bow for the encore before the feast. That would've been ideal. It's not how it was. There was an overload of Hollandaise and an excessive amount of Tomato Jam, which oddly enough tasted just like Strawberry Jam. So, with the cream of the Hollandaise and the sweetness of the Jam, and it all being way too much..... I could not taste the spinach, nor the avocado, and nor the yolk, which was such a pity because those are all incredible flavours in their own right. Sadly, the amount of Jam and Sauce macheted its way through more than half the flavour profile this dish could've had. It just ended up having a very clear dominating taste of the sweet Jam and the cream of the Hollandaise. That's what it was reduced down to unfortunately for this dish. Also, it was ordered medium poached but served soft. The Service nonetheless was great. Friendly hostess and my server Hayleigh was wonderful and executed her job with ease and high standard.
