Eh. It's okay. I don't think that there is anything special about these burgers. Sadly though, I've been a few times, and I'm sure I'll be back again. My kid loves the place. I'm not sure why. My guess is his love of fries makes the potato bags, location of the potato farm board, and the generous servings seem special. I think the price doesn't equal the quality. And I hate the seating. This was the first time I've tried this place. I thought it was pretty good, they grill up the patties right there in plain view and the fries were ok. The burger was good and the jalapenos were fresh (which means HOT). If you are allergic to peanuts in ANY way don't go because they use peanut oil and have roasted peanuts in a box for waiting customers, which I did like. As an east coaster on hiatus, I was especially thrilled to see Five Guys make their debut in Tucson! We have not been disappointed! This is my son's favorite place for cheeseburgers and my daughter (who won't eat anything) LOVES the peanuts they give you while you're waiting! I am addicted to their fries. Seasoned fries that put others to shame I consider myself an expert on seasoned French fries and I always thought you had to settle for one of two options Curly and cold from a clown or super expensive at a bar full of smoke but here at 5 Guys you skip both because they fresh cut fresh potatoes in store and they're not fried (In peanut oil ) until you order them and the fact they season right in the store it puts the clown and roast beef joints to shame . went to Five Guys tonight and spent $17 and change for two burgers and one regular sized fries, one regular coke. My burger was ordered with just cheese and was pretty good. Tasted like a burger cooked at home in the back yard, tons of cheese. For over $5 I expected great and when I opened my bun to add salt I saw that one of my patties was only 1/2 patty. My son loved his bacon, cheese burger with extras. He especially liked the mushrooms. the fries were another story. they were so undercooked that we didn't eat them. So why 5 stars? Good question. What are we really judging, 5 guys as a restaurant? Or what it is, a fast food burger place? The latter is how this rating applies. Let's face it, this place is by no stretch of the imagination the best burger in town, but I dare you to find a more well-made burger from a fast food place here in Tucson. In-N-Out you say? I say nay unto thee. Meat quality, thickness, seasoning, and topping choices (insert innuendo here) are just a few reasons why 5 Guys wins (you might say they are #winning). Given, both establishments have absurdly long lines, but 5 Guys' lines move with a much more blistering pace, the line is almost becomes deceiving, making you think you have more time to order; before you know it, you're face to face with the cashier trying to make a split-second decision (just go reg. bacon chee all the way w/ jalapeno). The one thing I would give the upper hand to In-N-Out for, is the fries (I think this is more of a personal preference), but if I could get a 5 Guys burger with animal-style In-N-Out fries, I would be obese...but very much in fat-boy Heaven. read more

Exactly, meh. Pricey and not impressed. Tucson has become a hot spot for trendy burger joints and this place is supposed to be a part of that trend. Came in with greta expectations and was disappointed. They have some stupid peanut gimmick like those roadhouse places. Not impressed with the quality of the beef at all. This place didn't really impress me. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The bacon was burnt and the cheese wasn't melted. I think the only thing that makes this different than McDonald's was the free peanuts. The fries, although they appeared that they were fresh at one point in time, came to me cold and crushed. read more

My family tried 5 Guys today at the new Broadway location in Tucson, AZ. The food was terrible. Our burgers were slopped together and because the store was so busy the burgers were smashed and thrown together to make one big mess. The $5 fries that were so highly touted as the best ever were soggy and gross. $26 for 2 burgers, fries and drinks is excessive for the product we received. I will not be returning to 5 guys and cannot recommend this to anyone else. read more

We first visited Five Guys in Washington, D.C. while on vacation. During that week we went twice because we loved it so much, so we were thrilled when they came to Tucson. This is a fast food burger done very well, with loads of toppings you can add. The junior burger is plenty for a hearty appetite--I haven't seen the regular, but can only imagine it's huge. For toppings, I can recommend the grilled onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. Their fries are amazingly delicious and they give you a lot of them (a small order is plenty for two people, with leftovers). I would definitely say they blow their leading fast food competitor In-N-Out away, but then I was never a fan. read more

I'm not sure if I go to the magic 5 Guys, because it seems that nobody is giving a glowing review. But here I go... I LOVE 5 GUYS! I unabashedly love it. I have never had a negative experience--I usually go to the one off of Broadway and Craycroft. I get a single patty, with lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, ketchup, and mushrooms. Are there any other mushroom lovers in the house? I adore that I can get a fast food burger with my favorite veggie (fungus?) on top! And let me explain my adoration for the fries. They are thicker than most chains, and fresh. The cajun are my favorite and I've seen that some have noted their lack of salt. True. But pour a little vinegar into one of their handy plastic containers for dipping and voila--the tastiest fast food burger joint fry available. Their burgers are better quality and their fries tastier than In 'N Out in my humble opinion, and they put the new Culver's to shame. I've been to five guys in Little Rock, AR , and was very disappointed. The burger has no flavor and fries are nothing to brag about. So I thought I'd give em another try here in Tucson. To no surprise it is the same here, and the cost of $14 is expensive. I'll never visit another five guys again. Love this place, the burgers are always fresh, and you'll get a pile of fries that will make your eyes big! Fries are good and always taste homemade. Awesome. I always have a good meal at five guys! There was a little girl who would t stop crying because the parents were idiots. They weren't even trying to calm her down so it kind of ruined my meal. But other that that it was really good. The burgers are awesome! The fries are awesome! The shakes are awesome! Everything about five guys is really just amazing. I will definitely come back more even though I don't live in Tucson. The service is really good. The two bad things with this visit is the crying girl and the service was a little bit slower than five guys usually is. Other than those two things my visit was awesome.
