What an absolute joke. Charging gourmet burger prices. Soggy fries. Disgusting greasy bag all over my car seat ( it wasn't clear that there was seating upstairs. Though admittedly that may be in part because I was busy guiding my son into the store and didn't notice the second floor above). But seriously, double bag it or invest in better bags. I got grease all over my arms, my shirt and my car seat . Disgusting. The whole business model was that it was a fantastic burger for five bucks. It is a terrible burger for $15. And an absolute joke for $23 if you want some fries. And don't talk to me about inflation. Chili's has burger, fries and a drink for 10.99 and I don't feel like I need a shower or to wash my car afterwards. Heck, I can get two Whopper Juniors for five bucks. An eight piece bucket of chicken at Popeyes for $10. No wonder the Five Guys family is closing in on a half a billion dollar net worth. These clowns completely forgot their business model. And you're not fooling anybody with that extra scoop of soggy, Bland fries that cost you what, 5 cents? Yeah I definitely don't feel like I got my money's worth. I feel like I got robbed. I used to love coming here. When they first started, man, a small order of fries would give you mountains of deliciousness. Now, nope. Things have changed... the prices are out of control! Almost $20 for a burger and fries without even a drink. Good luck with mobile ordering -- last 2 times I tried it, ended up arriving to find that they hadn't started the order and waited another 10 or so minutes, past the promised time and it wasn't busy at all. Normally my experiences at Five Guys have been pretty solid. But I placed an order for picked up tonight. The food was just ok. I ordered 2 veggie burgers, 2 little cheeseburgers and 2 regular cheeseburgers, 3 large fries. Half my order wasn't correct. I asked for no tomatoes with onions, pickles , mayo and lettuce. I got two tomatoes and no onions and no pickles. My 2 veggie burgers had peppers, which we didn't order. The bread on two of the sandwich was very soggy tonight and not sure why. I love 5guys but the cooking Standards at this location are horrible. The people they hired look like they are just behind on there bills and don't give a crap about the job or the food. Flavor horrible , un toasted bread, unseasoned over cooked burgers , fries are rushed and served almost raw! The guy was throwing pounds of salt on them without even looking. While most places are not always the same, neither are employees. So each shift varies upon happy employees to good food, and miserable employees to horrible food. I been to Five Guys recently comparing from the Hutchinson Parkway Location, to Pelham Manor, to Central Avenue. What I have discovered was not 1 location followed protocol. All employees handling food most wear a mask, and change gloves upon moving from one location to the next. The hamburgers have 3 stages of being prepped, it was not followed. And, did you know that you should be getting a half of scoop of fries with your regular fries. Ask for no salt and they have to cook them fresh but get frustrated and treat the customer like crap. The floors always feel like your going to fall because they are cheap tiles. The soda machine is not always kept up so when I pressed for lemonade particles fell like dust or something that died in there. I reported it to the manager. So if you don't know who the manager is, it is the person dressed in black. She said she get to it when she get to it. Well guess what now you been reported. If you need to reach out to corporated you may to so by calling 866-345-GUYS (4897). Fries should not be stale, greasy, clump together, burned or anything else. Hamburgers should not be burnt, dry or under cooked Buns should not be stale, not toasted or crumble when eating it. Shakes should not be to hard to drink or watery. I have visited as both a customer and a delivery driver, and every time I swear they hate everyone. The staff does not care if or when you get your food, and the restaurant is usually just full of tons of customers and drivers waiting for their orders. Irritable vibes. They're always behind on making fries, so at least when you actually get them they're hot, fresh, and crispy. Would only recommend ordering from here if you're prepared to wait. read more

My wife got food poisoning from a grilled cheese sandwich mad at the Stamford location on 10/11/21. She was sick for 2 days and didn't eat anything else that day. I had a burger (no cheese) and fries and but didn't fall ill. There must have been some cross contamination on the bread or cheese. Why no shakes? I have no problems with the food or the counter service, but I do have 2 issues with this location.... The blasting of bad rock music and the fact that even if you go in just to pick up an order you end up stinking like you just got done doing an 8 hour shift on the grill at Five Guys.... If you've been to one Five Guys, you've been to them all. I used to come here a fair bit when they first opened in 2012 Last week I came back for the first time in maybe a year or so, as it's in a part of town I don't really get to all that often. Cue to this past Friday the 13th November. Of course, no one in Stamford seems to want to cook on a Friday night, so this place was particularly more crowded than usual. Fortunately, there's plenty of seating (two floors!) and the cashiers know how to keep the line moving. I ordered the regular bacon cheese burger with A1 sauce, grilled onions, mushrooms and lettuce. The fries were just okay, and they seem to throw an extra portion in the bag - it actually almost becomes too much at that point. Something they've acquired recently are two Coca Cola Freestyle fountain machines. I absolutely love these! 100+ drink combos is nothing to sneeze at. Never again 5 guys. Bad food and bad service. This is my third trip here and while the other two were passable 3 star experiences this one was negative 5. I'll try to make this brief .. while I was ordering I noticed 6 strips of bacon on the grill ... hold onto that. 4-5 people in front of me but only 4 burgers on the grill. I ordered cheeseburger -2 patty's extra toasted roll, grill mushrooms and raw onions and waited. I watched he's one lady return her burger because the bun wasn't toasted at all. Then I watched a guy get loud because his burger had NO bun on top, just the bottom ?!) how.. how did that happen ?!? The grill lady looks like she couldn't care less.. ever. I go to pick my order and he pulls fresh fries out of the grease ... shakes and dumps them. Salts them mad out my cup in the bag... as I watch the grill lady pulling off the most perfectly toasted buns and meticulously add jalapeños another veggie and then stacking the bacon like it was a work of art. I sit down to eat ... filthy table and floor.. and I had been there for twenty mins now. My bun is barely toasted .. the cheese barely melted ... the burger barely warm and the fires were the greasy soggiest things I've ever been served. I go to complain but the looks on all of the employees faces showed it... they hated their jobs. They hated this place... they probably hate themselves. The food shows this .... I sit back down and say just eat the $15 crappy burger and fries and let it go. I wasn't even gonna write a review until..... even the guy after me waited way too long. Then I saw the cook sit down across from me with a sandwich. The fucking perfectly toasted buns, all of the bacon and jalapeños ..... it was her dinner. I must say I am very disappointed in the customer service I received. I made an error when checking out and was double charged for my order. The transaction could not be reversed, I was told. I asked for the manager, but there was none on site. I called and was hung up on. I called again and was told the manager would call me. I did finally speak to a manager and was assured the money would be refunded. It has not. Complete thievery. This is a lot of hassle for mediocre food. This is the best Five Guys I have ever been to: they consistently make it right + they are friendly and welcoming. The junior cheeseburger is enough for one person (load it up with what you like - I recommend all the way + jalapeno peppers) and split the medium cajun fries with a friend. The corner window seating upstairs is a unique twist I've never seen and it makes the whole experience fun. Get a coke with lime from the freestanding machine and you're all set! read more

So many friends of mine are crazy about Five Guys burgers. This is my first Five Guys burger, gotta say...not impressed! When you walked-in, the grease smell just kind of slap you in the face. The seating layout on the first floor is kind of poor. The second floor seating isn't any better either. The atmosphere is worse than McDonald's (and I don't like McDonald's). Onto burger quality, my bun was all greased up when I unwrapped the foil. I enjoyed the toppings I chose, but I must say..this is just another ordinary burger joint. However, I enjoyed the fries though. Burger, Shakes, and Fries offers so much tastier burgers with a better atmosphere if you are willing to drive to Darien. I hate walking out of a restaurant and smelling like grease. This place gave me exactly just that. I don't know if I would want to come back to this Five Guys location anytime soon. read more

The "Kosher Style" phrase is extremely misleading until you call them . As a strictly practicing family we got the wrong impression. It should be clearly mentioned on menu that Kosher Style means that only meat is Kosher certified but cooked with all other meat leading to unavoidable cross contamination. The burgers here are the best I have every had. It's sooo good. All of the Five Guys I have gone too have really impressed me. I got a Bacon Cheeseburger and customized it adding lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The burger is easily 6 inches long. Most places when you see the sign you just ignore it because the actual food doesn't look like the add but this burger is better than any ad I have seen. The fries were also amazing. There is an upstairs area with seating but if you want a refill on your soda you have to go downstairs and navigate through the waiting customers. Glad to see that something new opened in Stamford and not another pizza place. This location is pretty new, but is just what you'd expect from any Five Guys. Gluten-free eaters, you can order burgers without a bun and they will note your allergy. All of the fries are gluten-free. Yum! read more
