We placed the order through the machine and we paid, we did not get any paper nor number so we asked. They told us that they did not get the order so we had to place a new order but we were not going to get any refund for the dirt order because on our bank account was showing "pending" they said that this has happened before so I don't understand why they don't shout the machine but anyway (that happened yesterday) we "said it's ok we understand" and we placed a new order. Today I checked my bank account and (of course) the first order was charged so I drove 18 minutes (again) to tell them and showed them (I don't understand why I have to show anybody my account) that I was charged for the first order. Then the manager (I assume) handed me a paper and a pen so I can write down my name and phone number for them to make the refund (which I don't understand why, again) don't get me wrong, I don't think the staff is wrong but they must fix this issue ASAP I don't have to give my information like this and I don't how long is going to take for me to get my money back. So today feb 17, they were offering a BOGO burger deal only online. I spent over an hour trying to get the website to work, and was unsuccessful. I tried like over 20 times on multiple devices and it kept saying there was a network error. I called the store and asked to make the order over the phone because the website and app was not working. He said I couldn't get the deal otp and to try refreshing the page. Like thanks genius, I totally didn't think of that. Very disappointing as I was hoping for the deal. I will not be returning to five guys, because how can you expect service if you are offering a discount that people can't even use and your app doesn't even work. We haven't been here in a long while basically because of the road work on Lexington. It's pretty open now and you can get thru. We'll they still have good burgers and yummy fries. I got the little burger, one patty, and my husband got the cheeseburger which is two Pattie's. I would suggest just getting the little fries. Worst case of food poisoning I've ever had. I called and talked to the manager the next day. He said to come to the store and bring my receipt as if he didn't believe me. So I go to the store the day after I called him (due to being too sick to go that day). When I showed up he was very rude and saying it must have been something else I ate because "people eat there all the time and never get sick". Definitely would not recommend this location. I used to love this place so much more! I've been going to various 5 guy locations for about 8 years. But now I feel that the price keeps going up and the quality is going down. The toppings for the burgers used to be fully loaded and now it's a struggle to find a reasonable amount of lettuce or mushrooms. The price is now more comparable to going out to sit down restaurant and ordering a burger and fries. I do like their fresh cut fries and free peanuts and their shakes are delish, but their need to up their game on burger construction and quality and care for me to continue to be a patron. read more

I absolutely love Five Guys. I think it is one of the best chains around! From the burgers to their fries, it is all delicious! Their burgers here are great. I always get a cheeseburger plain because I am very boring when it comes to my burgers. I have never been disappointed though! The friends I am with never have any complaints either. The fries are some of my favorite. They have a great flavor and and seasoned good. And you get a lot! A large fries is enough for 4 of us (usually). Make sure to share! Overall, for a chain restaurant, Five Guys makes good food and a reasonable price. Sometimes the tables aren't always cleaned off, but it's just crumbs from fries and such. Not a huge mess. I've been converted. I tried Five Guys in Dinkytown 3 years ago and I wasn't impressed. Then they opened this one in Shoreview and suddenly I've been going here slightly more frequently than I'd like to admit! My favorite burger is the Bacon Cheeseburger. It comes with 2 meat patties! I get it All The Way: Lettuce, tomato, ketchup, pickles, mustard, fried onions and mushrooms. It is cheesy, melty, ooey gooey delicousness. It is not a clean or delicate eating experience. You've got to grab it with both hands and seriously get in there with hearty vigour! Napkins recommended. The Fries: I don't care for the Cajun fries as much as I love other spicy things. We stick with the Regular fries and they are really good, thick and crispy. They give you so many fries, I love it. The whole bag gets covered in fries so a small size is big enough for 2. I dip my fries in Frank's Red Hot sauce. The lines are usually long but the seating is adequate if you choose to dine-in. Pro-tip: If you get takeout and your burger has all the veggies and sauce on it, eat it as soon as you get home...otherwise it gets really soggy and even more messy if it sits in the bag for awhile. Malt Vinegar. Yep, I added a star for malt vinegar. I love that stuff on fries. 5 guys is a chain that has been in the twin cities a year or two. This place is the latest installment, which thankfully is in my stomping grounds. They serve burgers - not bad. Better than Smashburger and their ilk. I ate mine today with no ketchup/mustard/mayo just so I could taste the burger. It stands up to the inspection. This is one of the better fast food burgers available in the Twin Cities. The fries are fresh and come in very large portions. We split a regular and still had plenty left over. But, this place has the most uncomfortable chairs I have sat in in quite some time. While there isn't really anything special about Five Guys, I know they're going to deliver a quality burger. When we walked it the first thing I noticed was the enticing aroma of fries. I wasn't going to order fries, but the cajun seasoning smell won me over and a regular order was placed. Word to the wise though, a regular order of fries is enough for probably 3-4 people. The two of us managed to finish them though, they were fantastic. I decided I wasn't feeling the bun so I ordered my cheeseburger bunless. When doing this you have the option of a lettuce wrap or a bowl. I got the wrap but would recommend the bowl since a lettuce wrap on a juicy burger makes a big mess. The service was excellent and we barely waited 5 minutes for our food. I was also impressed that when I ordered my burger bunless they asked if it was due to allergies or not. Up to the point of my first Five Guys visit, I had not been a fan of all the burger joints popping up everywhere. I dismissed it as trendy bullshit that people who are bad with money go to. Then the gf took me to the Shoreview Five Guys. She made me go, telling me my viewpoint was irrational and wrong. I was told I'll never go to McD's again once I've tried it (I tried explaining that I go to McD about once a year so that comparison was fail but got "the look" so i zipped the yap and accepted my fate to go to this joint) Well, i was impressed. That was about a month ago and yesterday I was back for 2nd try. Impressed again. The prices are a bit high but you get so much eats I wouldn't say excessive. The seating is really cramped and kinda uncomfy especially if its busy but thats it. No other negatives from my pov. I like the peanuts. How'd they know I like peanuts like that? Its like they read my mind! The burger was great. I can't even compare it to other fast food joints. It was that much better. Got a medium order of fries expecting I could eat them all and was handed a bag full of one million fries! I didn't even put a dent in it and I was hungry!!! Had to put my burger down mid-meal to let you guys know how much this place sucks. I've only been to this location 2 times and both times my burger was made incorrectly. The first time they actually improperly overcharged me for the wrong burger and the little cashier girl gave me attitude when I asked for my correct change. When the manager came over, she wasn't any more pleasant so I just told them to forget about it. I wouldn't want to stress them anymore than they need to be, as these empolyees clearly signed up for an easy gig with little-to-no hassles. Five Guys probably has my favorite fast food burger in the Twin Cities, and my second favorite fast food burger overall (sorry, you just can't be In-N-Out). The portions run large here, burgers and fries. I find a "little" burger is enough for me, and a "little" fries can be shared with two people. The burgers are delicious, and I love that you can choose from so many different toppings without having to pay extra. The fries are kinda eh to me, they're not my favorite but they're still worth eating. This location in particular is always busy, so you're going to wait a bit longer for your food than if you were at a McDonalds, but they have peanuts to snack on while you wait! My burger was just OK. A bit dry and unremarkable. The fries were soggy. I paid $11.44 for this. I expected it to be much better. Maybe it was because it was 10 minutes travel time from store to shop. It's wrapped in foil, so it should have been much warmer than it was. The soggy fries are understandable because of the travel. But the burger was luke warm at best. Probably I will go back at some time, but I am in no hurry. We have many burger options in the Twin Cities. With beverage this would have been $14.00. For Fast Food/Take Out that is very expensive. When I first went here 4 years ago, a small fry was in a 16 Oz cup and additional fries added to the bag. This amount of fries was enough for 3-4 people. Now, the small fry is a 12 oz cup with some additional added to the bag. The 16 oz small fries were $2.99. Now that size is considered regular at $3.69. The current small fries are $2.69. Way too expensive for fries. They are just potatoes. Why so much? Sure they are very good when fresh, but that does not justify so much $$$. My first impression 4 years ago was this was a 4 star burger. Now, with an emphasis on cost/value it has become just a 2 star burger joint. I like the fresh never frozen concept but there are many other options around town for this..
