I haven't been to a Five Guys since I visited the east coast and I had forgotten how expensive the burgers are (well, compared to In n Out). I got the double with cheese and bacon, and burger alone was $9. Add a regular size Cajun fries and you're looking at a $15 meal--no drinks. The only thing I probably like over In n Out is the option of customization; well, I guess the option to add mushrooms. The burger and fries are good, but I'd rather go to a sit down burger joint for these prices. The peanuts for appetizers are a fun treat. Super salty but delicious. read more

This burger place was by far the worst place I have ever eaten. First, the hamburger was so greasy, that it was soggy when I got it back to my office five minutes away. There was so much mayo on it, I had SPOON it off! Then I had to eat it with a fork. It was really mushy and gross and I only got through half of it before throwing the other half away. And I only ate that half because I was starving hungry !!! AND I just paid A little over $10 plus tax. The french fries were also soggy AND greasy and way over over salted!!! My coworker and I both felt sick to our stomach within 20 minutes of eating. It's that's awful. Both of us feel Robbed!! $22.84 total bill I called immediately to the restaurant (if you could call it that) to report my complaint. when I asked for the manager and he got on the phone, he wanted to know why I was asking for his name. He reluctantly gave it to me once I told him why I was calling. Finally I told him about my terrible experience. His Excuse was that one of the other Managers called in sick and it was just so busy and he couldn't watch everything that was going on. He did offer me free food to come back. Obviously, I declined.!! They couldn't GIVE me five hamburgers or five orders of french fries and make me EAT THAT !!! Nico, although you ended up being very nice you did not start out our conversation very well. At the end of the day you are the manager, and you and you alone are responsible for how your line cooks get the food out. It's your job as a manager to manage how the food is cooked , prepared , put together and goes out!! It doesn't matter that you were the only manager there that day. You should be able to handle any and every situation. You should fire your entire line and step down as manager. I don't even want to give this place one star. Joseph hooked it up with the jalapeños! Really great service. Joseph was super busy and he saw me standing around like an idiot patiently waiting, he looked up and smiled and asked how he can help. He was busy already but he still found a moment to grab me what I needed and did with a smile...honestly that's hard to do. I work in service so tbh if it was me, I woulda given the customer a stink eye and told them to wait. People honestly forget they don't honestly have to be super nice...It just goes to show really what a little kindness can do. Went in for a shake and waited 25 minutes and finally just asked for my money back. One kid cooking all by himself while one guy took orders. When I asked for money back the guy at the register had to get someone from the back. Why wasn't that guy out front helping to serve? Very poorly managed I wont be back. read more

Ordered my food online, they said it would be ready in 10min, I left to pick up 15 min after ordering and took an additional 20 min once I have gotten there. I ordered the bacon burger with A1 sauce, and I got the burger with a couple of crumbles of bacon, no A1 sauce and no lettuce when I specifically said lettuce. Maybe I'll back next year and get better service. In the mean time I'll stick to in n out. read more

Review based on service. Came in at 11:58 on a Sunday. Immediately greeted by two, easy on the eyes, young ladies behind the counter. In the mood for a bacon cheese dog and it was good. Cajun fries I could have done without. They're big on freshness and it's what you pay for. I wouldn't compare it to the other fresh burger places because it's different. Although there's not much out of the ordinary here, it's well managed and leaves you plenty full. They, need to learn quickly how to read and complete orders according to what the customer did or did not order. * Ordered bacon cheeseburger and they forgot the 1st ingredient which was bacon, along with condiments. * Ordered a Milkshake without whipped cream, and it came with whipped cream. * waited 3 minutes to ask for condiments while these newbies discussed their ages, instead of acknowledging the customer. I got a little cheeseburger all the way but the mushrooms were chewy and difficult to eat and the fries didn't taste fully cooked, they were still a little hard. I've only been to Five Guys twice, but both times had a really good experience. Service was fast and good. Pretty clean establishment. The potions were very generous and though the menu was fairly simple, sometimes its best this way to get the better taste of what you're ordering. I was very disappointed. Several people had told me Five Guys is the In n Out of the east. Yes, the burgers have more meat and are juicier and they will put on them whatever you want. But they fall short of being anything special. Fries came in a small cup and were so-so. A shake was also smaller than I expected. And it was pricey. $25 I think for the two of us. Great burgers and fries but getting order right after two attempts leave me wondering why:(

I ordered a burger and a bacon cheese dog. The burger was thrown together half ass, and the dog had no cheese on it. I'm no rocket scientist, but I could definitely read a receipt, and do this job. There were 3 ingredients on the dog, and a third of them were missing. I was the only order too, so they definitely weren't busy. Feel disappointed, and it was too late to go back. I came in last week with my kids to have a nice dinner with them. The girl who took my order was very polite and sweet and even suggested I get a large fry instead of multiple fries to save me money. While I was sitting down with my family I couldn't help but notice the heavier set white man, who seemed to be the manager, was yelling at the nice girl and ordering her around when she was seemingly just trying to help. She disappeared to the back and when I received my order he threw it on the counter and walked away not saying anything. I was going to ask for an extra bag for peanuts but I didn't even bother because of how rude he was being. This type of treatment towards employees from their higher ups is unacceptable. For a double burger, fries and a coke expect to pay around $17. Even if the fries are enough to split with a friend I find it harder and harder to justify coming here. Each time I visit there is always a bit of socket shock and everything seems 20 cents more expensive than the last. Surely is an upper limit? Dear Five Guys: You were SO nice when the store first opened. I came in, ordered a burger and fries with cheese - SO tasty and cheesy. Everyone was so welcoming. The nuts were an added plus. BUT - some things changed - in a BIG way. Two more times after that, I could still very much look forward to the yummy fries with cheese on top. I brought friends and family - many first-timers. But Then it happened: for the next 3 visits, employees were admonishing me while I placed my order - crunching up their faces and/or bringing over another employee to utter in duet-like fashion: We DO Not DO That HERE. (I would not Tell that to the last 3 different days' orders of delicious cheesy fries that apparently Never Happened....) So I say to the Most Delicious, Cheese-on-fries-Never Allowed-Here Five Guys: Your fries are limp, and your treatment of customers is inconsistent, if not alarming, at best. Love that we now have 3 great burger choices when in San Dimas. "In n Out", "The Habit", and now "Five Guys". Best thing is that each has its own style. Five Guys gives you huge variety. So many toppings to choose from to customize your burger. I'm hooked on jalapeños on my cheeseburger. The fries are great. Again a different style than "In n Out". Thick cut. Now "In n Out" is still my overall favorite but I'm glad Five Guys is there for a change of pace. Only real drawback for Five Guys is the price. It's a bit expensive but you are getting a good product and they pile on the fries in your bag. Even a small order of fries can feed 2. The employees are pleasant and move things along nicely. read more
