Consistently provides quality products. The ingredients are always fresh, the food is served hot, and the order is delivered quickly. The restaurant is always immaculately clean, and the staff are friendly and well trained. My son and I enjoy the Five Guys app. Our saved favorite is just a few clicks away from a placed order. Upon arrival we skip the line and proceed to the pickup counter. The attentive staff always acknowledge our arrival quickly, hand us our order, and we are sitting down enjoying our meal within a minute or two. Recommendation... if cost is important to you, understand that the potential mounds of toppings are included with the base price of the burger (sandwich, or dog). The base price of a burger is driven by the number of patties, cheese, and bacon. So if you can be satisfied with one patty (order "Little Burger"), no cheese, or no bacon, you can make up the difference with the huge array of topping choices at no additional cost. Good burgers, dogs and plentiful fries. Food always fresh and tasty and worth the short wait while things get cooked.

If you enter from the parking lot entrance in the back you are greeted by a pool table right inside the door. They have a bar that can accommodate up to 15 ish people and a seating area to the right if you come in the front door! They have PA games of skill machines and an electronic dart board. The music is loud enough that you can hear it, but not too loud that you can't hear someone across the table from you! They have a small regular menu that consists of Dogs, Burgers, Chipped steak etc. They only run the fryer on a select few days a week when they make wings! There are about 15 beers on tap, 3 of which are rotating! They have a full bar and canned / bottled beer and ciders. If you sit in a seat you will be waited on by the bartenders, BE PATIENT, they probably saw you walk in, they will find you! The food, ahhh the food! Simple small menu, that can't be 100% found anywhere else! I say that, because there is a Johnny and Huns Smokehouse on the other side of the county, similar menu, but the hot dogs are not made the same. They are the star of the show! Coney dogs, where the dogs slowly grill on the flat top all day, or until they're ordered! The longer the better! Burgers are not gourmet but if you put the coney sauce on them...yumm. Burger is better if you order the special, a cheese burger with Chipped steak, onions and coney sauce...yumm again! When I was first told about this place years ago, I was told "order a dog and a special with a beer"! That was some good advice then, and it still applies today!

The best chili dog you can find in my opinion. I'm no chili…read moredog expert but have been to Yocco's and Willy Joe's many times, not to mention Pott's in Bethlehem,Jimmy's quick lunch in Hazleton, and Abe's & Ferris' Lunch in Wilkes-Bar. Rutt's Hut in Clifton NJ. And have had NY dogs and Chicago dogs in their respective cities...this slays them all. Of course, like pizza and wings and cheesesteaks etc, it comes down to what you're looking for in that particular genre. They nailed it here with the perfect combination of mustard onions and chili. Some places are stingy with the chili or pile on too many onions. Not Forest Inn. Perfect ratio. Maybe it is simply the care with which they are prepared? I don't know. But as a kid I would grab a chili dog from the Whitehall Mall (Allentown/Whitehall) at a place called Little Red Wagon. Just a wagon-like stand in hallway of mall. The chili dogs at Forest Inn remind me of those dogs. This spot is your classic dive bar. Typical characters you'd expect. Old school urinals. Jukebox that you can't play with your Touchtune/AMI app. Tons of Pennsylvania Skill games(more than I've ever seen at one bar) Seemed like a clean place though so no complaints. The real star of the show is the bartender/chef/manager Harry. He is on the ball! Super nice guy too. He has to serve all the patrons plus cook up all the food and keep non-patrons from using the restroom or just hanging out. He does it all with ease and is fun to talk to as well. I've been here twice already and will return for third time shortly. It's is 45 minutes from house so I can't go on a regular basis but they're so good I gotta make a trek there a few times a year. Give Forest Inn a try! You won't be disappointed.

Surprisingly horrible breakfast experience…read more First off, I had to double check my spelling for this place like three times. I kept reading it as "Double Eggs," not realizing that upon closer inspection, there is just one "e" separating the words, and in fact, it's one word. Though someone not so familiar with the English language might pronounce it as "Doub Leggs." Regardless, with "eggs" in the name and a plethora of breakfast related items on the menu, you'd think breakfast would be their strong suit. You'd be wrong. And here's the thing - they have good intentions. Their recipes and ingredients are probably top notch. But dear lord, can we clean our stove tops? Can we empty our grease traps from time to time? How about the fryer grease? When was the last time that was changed? My side order of sausage was coated in a thick layer of old, disgusting grease. The hash browns were fried beyond recognition, and they tasted like burnt ass. The omelet was actually ok. But they added this ham steak that was cooked on the same surface as all the other burnt components. So the ham tasted like burnt ass as well. They were legit the worst sausage links I've ever had. And I've eaten at some shady diners before. Like, the West Reading diner at the height of their rodent infestation. But they could still knock out a good dish. The one saving grace at Doubleggs is the meatball sandwich. If you can manage to eat around the bone fragments, the flavor is on par with any of the top Italian restaurants in town.

I received my order through door dash which always good. But the this restaurant is horrible. If you're looking for a bright and airy place to grab a bite, this spot really delivers on the atmosphere. The dining area is clean and filled with natural light thanks to the windows on two sides, which makes for a very welcoming environment. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, contributing to a pleasant service experience. One of the absolute highlights was the salad bar--it was fresh, well-presented, and offered an excellent selection, including classics like macaroni and potato salads, pickled red beet eggs, and even stuffed grape leaves. It's clear they take pride in that part of the menu! (A +) While we did encounter a few hiccups with the hot entrees--my wife's hot turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes arrived cold, and my broiled salmon was unfortunately quite overdone--I get the sense that this kitchen has a lot more to offer. The menu is quite extensive, and I suspect they really shine when it comes to their more traditional diner fare. (C) It's worth noting that the pricing is very competitive, feeling even more affordable than many other local diner-style establishments we've visited lately. While the decor feels a bit dated and the atmosphere skews toward a more mature crowd, the restaurant has a great foundation. (B + to A) I'd definitely encourage folks to give them a try. They have a solid operation here, and with more focus and care in the kitchen, I think they'll continue to be a staple in the area for a long time to come. I plan to head back eventually to see if the kitchen improves and how the other menu items hold up!
