Staff: This is the reason for the decline in my score. The young man that helped me was very nice. However, I had an issue, and how it was handled was not on par with good customer service. Experience: Called in my order so when I paid I was told the food was still being prepared. No problem at all! As I sat there waiting I watched the staff to ensure I could pick up my order and go as quickly as possible. At no time was I on my phone. I noticed a bag prepared and placed above the fry area. My first thought was that it was likely my order as a few times in the past, the staff had finished my order, placed it up top, and never called my name until I asked. That resulted in food that was not hot. Tonight it happened again. In the past the staff was apologetic and even remade my food to ensure it was hot or offered a shake. Didn't expect this nor was it necessary, but I would have appreciated an apology. I very nicely asked the young lady up front and learned that it was my order sitting up there the whole time. She said maybe I didn't hear my name, to which I advised her that I was paying attention the whole time. I asked her if they could try to announce the orders once done to prevent this from happening. She said yes. As I waited I nicely gestured to the manager to see if she would come over to speak to me. I told her that my order was sitting there the whole time and if they could try hard to call out the names to avoid. She said yes. At no point did she offer any apologies. Shocking that a manager is unaware of how to address a very nice customer they didn't receive good service by offering a simple apology. I'd recommend a quick training session on how to handle when service falters. Mistakes happen and that's okay but it is how we acknowledge and own them is what matters. I'd like to add this was our first time trying Five Guys. I've resisted for years (living in various states) due to word of mouth and the prices. THE FOOD. - Little Cheeseburger | Beef patty cooked to medium and added a bunch of toppings because that's how I be. It was good, - Bacon Cheeseburger | This had a little heft with two beef patties. Came here for the first time and ordered 2 burgers online with a promo. It was easy to find parking and easy pick up. However I was a bit disappointed that they ran out of peanuts because they are usually known to offer peanuts. I received my order and I noticed the word "discounts" on the top of the tag of the bag, which made me wonder if they prepare the orders differently when it states that the order was discounted. The taste of the burger was good, however, the amount of each ingredient in the burger seemed imbalanced. There are 2 patties in the burger which is a lot of meat, but there was only 1 piece of lettuce, 1 tomato and small amount of mushrooms for both burgers that were ordered. I added my own letruce to the burger for balance. To be honest, I would not consider ordering at normal price especially when it the burgers were frugal and no peanuts. Given we did order take out and our completion time for pick up was 5:52 pm which we received 45 minutes later than that but we saw how hard these worker were trying to accommodate everyone and they were merely overwhelmed with orders. We sat down and enjoyed some peanuts while we waited. The burgers were very good but a bit on the greasy side as they were dripping of oil but I guess the mushroom and grilled onions created that issue so it wasn't their fault.
