Comparing to fast food chains like chick-fil-a, Wendy's and Mcdonalds, the burgers and fries quality taste and feels a lot better in your mouth. Comparing it to burger joints/ restaurants like burger fi, los verdes, fudrucker, shake shack or what not it doesn't come close. I've came here about 10 times in the span of 2 years for a few reasons. I come here for the juicy yet greasy burgers (they use peanut oil) and hefty amount of fries for a "small" fries. Basically I come here to get "full" feeling while wanting better quality than Burger King burgers. Pros: - unlimited peanuts up for grabs - unlimited toppings as you purchase the burger - can triple/quad stack a burger - cajun fries option - all meats are well done low chance of getting sick - you will get full - patties are cook to order (don't know if they come frozen, I assume so) Cons: - this specific place is cold no matter where you sit -only use a sesame seed bun that gets soggy after too many toppings - no trays (dine in/take out) only paper bags. Kinda sucks for people who order take out and have grease stains come out of the bag and onto their clothing/car seats - my personal visual judgement of people's willing to work here: they don't want to work, just a clock in/out type of job for them - all meats are well done can't ask for other temperatures/heats of the meat (I prefer medium) - excessive amount of grease on patties and fries after ALL ten times of eating here my stomach didn't feel too well. (Always giving it another chance after the previous visit to see if it's just my stomach) Overall I recommend it to try if you want something better than the basics (MDs, Bk, etc) but get a bang for your buck for the quality you are paying for. read more

Straight up yum! The burgers & fries here are very good! Burger is made to order and exactly how you want it. I ordered a regular double bacon cheeseburger. Added the usual plus A-1 sauce. I highly recommended you add the A-1. It adds to the great flavor. Burger was juicy and cooked too perfection. Fries are also fresh and taste awesome! I love the taste of natural fries. No frozen crap here. The service is also great. They are very nice and super friendly. The place is kept clean and someone is always wailing around making sure that clean tables are available. To start, the place is a lot cleaner than I expected. Even the bathrooms didn't have any gross lingering scent. The service was quick and friendly; it didn't take more than 10 mins to get our food. While you wait you can serve yourself the free peanuts they offer. They also have the machine where you can pick from a large selection of sodas, flavored waters, and etc. which I think is great. What I really like about this place is all the extra toppings are free and they have a large variety to choose from. However, a side of fries is extra. The fries are worth it though, because even a medium is good enough for three people to share. Not only that but they're not the frozen fries they sell at other fast food places, these are actually cut, fried, and served the same day. The reason why I'm giving this place 4/5 stars is because the burger patty was dry and lacked flavor. Everything else was delicious. I think out of everything the patty should be the one thing that should taste good especially for a burger joint, but with every bite it just didn't taste right. Maybe it was only my patty that was dry. Next time I go I'll either confirm or take back what I thought of the patty. Meanwhile, Five Guys is definitely still worth going to. read more

Five Guys has always been my favorite fast food burger spot. I've always considered it a better option than BK or McDonald's to be honest. I guess I just love the concept of customizing my burger how I like it. Maybe BK should sell their slogan of "have it your way" to Five Guys lol. (WARNING: if you have a peanut allergy, Five Guys is not the place for you. They use peanut oil to fry their fries and to cook some of their other ingredients. They also serve complimentary peanuts as starters while you wait for your burger. So if you're allergy is severe, I wouldn't recommend you walking into five guys neither.) I absolutely love their burgers. Aside from the fact that you get to make it how you like, they are always made when you order and not in advance which is great cause they come out hot and ready to it. Plus they are not small burgers! Choose single or double patty, add cheese or don't, veggies if you want them, sauces if you'd please, bacon for the bacon lovers, It doesn't matter, you're burger will come out uniquely for you. They are quite filling and very tasteful. Many have complained that the burgers are greasy but they are not that greasy. And plus, it's fast food burgers not the healthy veggie or tofu alternative! So yea it's a bit greasy. This is a place for the carnivorous appetite! The only thing I dislike is that their fries have to be purchased separate! I wish they had combo options that come with the burger. This unfortunate business choice has affected us Five Guys fans cause we end up paying more. I dislike this because their fries are AMAZING. And they pack your bag with them. So I guess they make up for what you pay with that? Finally had a chance to try them out and I was not disappointed. The burgers and fries were FIRE. I wouldn't recommend the Cajun fries, they were too salty for me. If you have HBP like me those Cajun fries aren't a good look. Just get the regular fries. I got a double with cheese bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and cooked onions. I also got the dog with cheese and bacon, FIRE ! The cheese isn't artificial, it's real cheese guys and the dog is a quality dog. I give these guys 4 stars out of 5 and the only reason why is because it's pricey for some burger and fries. It's quality, just wish they had some deserts other than milkshakes. So when I heard a five guys was opening by my house i kinda got excited from the other five guys review on yelp. Walking in the place was packed but the line was moving and there still was random seating so we decided to stick it out. the menu consist of simple burgers, hot dogs and fries... which is perfect in my book, and the best part... its all fresh. Toppings are free of charge and consist of your standard burger toppings(my toppings: lettuce, jalapeños, grilled onions, and BBQ sauce). Fries can be plain or cajun seasoned, and are plentiful. Your order is served "to go" style in a paper bag where they give you your burger and fries and then put in some more fries to top off your bag. Unwrapping our burger wasnt a mission but eating it was because they are pretty big, and with the mountain of fries they give you should keep you filled till next week. Everything was so good tho. Burger was juicy and delish and the fries were perfectly was seasoned and cooked. My bacon cheesburger (oh and their burgers are "double") with all my toppings, fries and a drink came out to $11, which with all the food they give you is pretty good. They also have gift cards for the burger and hotdog enthusiast in your life in any amount. I've heard people rave about this place for as long as I can remember. When I discovered they were opening one up in my neck of the woods, I had to see what the fuss was about. I went on a Sunday afternoon on a food run for the wifey and I and it looks like I made it just before the rush b/c after two minutes the line was out the door! I get to the counter and the nice young lady takes my order. A very young crew, teens and college students mostly. Very polite, takes my order and I wait. I liked how toppings arent extra. Finally! So I told them to pile it with jalapenos, mushrooms, onions, bbq sauce and bacon. So I'm waiting for cholesterol bomb w/ fries and notice the boxes of peanuts and shells strewn all over. Apparently, these are complimentary but I didn't bother to ask. Plenty of seating inside, and for the most part was pretty clean considering the amount of traffic. My order's up and I snack on my fries (got the seasoned) and they were delicious! friggin hot cuz they were fresh out the fryer. Dunno what they use for seasoning but its good. Def recommend the seasoned fries. My burger was.... okay. Nothing extraordinary. And for a little more than what I paid I could've just gone to friday's or some other fast food type place. A couple years ago I discovered this Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I had never heard of the chain before and thought I would take a chance and give it a try. I am pretty fat now, but if I found this place 10 years ago, I would be twice as fat or maybe even dead from clogged arteries. Luckily I found Five Guys at a point in my life where I have a moderate amount of self control. Since my first visit to this FGB&F location, I have been to several locations across the country. I have to say this particular one seems better than the other ones I have been to. Except for the one in Saint George, Utah. They have fry sauce there. (it's a Utah thing, probably one of the best things about the state). Even though the Kendall 5 guys doesn't have fry sauce, it is 2445 miles closer to my house than the Saint George location. Before this I always played with combinations of toppings trying to find something tasty that didn't make the whole thing soggy...something that made me really dislike Five Guys burgers altogether. Decided to try it after all of the hype. The quality of the food is a step above the drive through category. The fries were good, they remind me of the ones my Mom would make at home growing up. They have just about any topping you can put on a burger. The hot dogs are split and grilled. The service, although they get really packed, is not painfuly slow. The ambiance is very non descript and warehouse like, there are pallets of stuff in the dinning area, looked like bags of whole shell peanuts, which by the way they have a huge box on the counter so you can help yourself while your waiting. If you want a burger and are in the area it's a good place to try. I would return however, nothing about the place really left me craving for more. I had lunch here today. This is my second Five Guy's I eat at. My first was in Midtown. I found the food quality the same on both. I had two single burgers with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles, Mustered and Ketchup with the regular fries. It was delicious. These burgers have their unique taste. They do have double Pattie burgers but I prefer singles that way the meet don't overcome the burger. I'm a huge fan of Fuddrucker's with that sad, look out Fuddrucker's there are new guy's in town. read more

We generally love Five Guys, and have dined at other locations. Today the young man taking our order had a visibly runny nose, HE WIPED HIS RUNNY NOSE WITH HIS HAND, I looked at him shocked and then he wiped it on his sleeve. He handed us our cups and at that point I lost my appetite, but didn't say anything. He then cleaned tables, filled the ketchup bottles, cleaned the trash cans, passed out bags of completed orders, all while sneezing and wiping his nose with his hands. The other employees in no way could have been oblivious to this, but said nothing. I just kept saying, hopefully it's allergies, but even so, you are really mismanaging a restaurant if you don't tell your employee to go home until you feel better. I love the burgers at this place and its cheap so my girlfriend and I can have a great meal for the two of us for around $12 to $14 depending on which size fry we order. We have made it our early week night ritual. 2 burgers, 2 large drinks and one fry (Note that the large fry will feed 2 possibly 3 people) to go. We sit down enjoy a movie and great food for under $20 total. Not bad, especially with the economy in the gutter. This place just opened and I am equidistant between it and the other one on Kendall Drive so I actually go to both now depending on if I am coming home from work or if my girlfriend is picking up burgers. Both places are the best burger for the money I have had and the Cajun fries are perfection in a bag. The place is clean (there is always a person walking around with a broom in hand, its almost strange), the staff is friendly and actually begin to recognize you after you have come in only a few times. One guy named Ron asked me yesterday why I didnt order the jalapenos. I was surprised that he remembered my girlfriends jalapenos and I actually forgot them. I said oh ya I forgot and he said put them on the one with out bacon right? I was surprised he remembered and my girlfriend was happy so it was good. This restaurant is bigger than the on on Kendall Drive and has a huge lot next to Costco so sometimes I eat and then hit Costco. For some reason if you eat before you go to Costco you buy less. At any rate, I recommend this one and the one on Kendall. Order the Bacon, Cheese Burger with only lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions. The rest of the toppings just get too overwhelming. If you go to one on Kendall Drive eat in the back patio area. This time of year its great and they dont mind if you bring your dog. read more

So, after reading soooo many raves about this place, I finally went to try it out. I had a "little" (single patty) bacon cheeseburger, and I shared the fries with a friend. I asked for grilled mushrooms, mustard, and ketchup. The burger was really delicious...juicy, slightly charred, and it tasted like meat! No fillers! The bacon was very crispy and meaty (awesome!), and the bun was nice and soft. The mushrooms were ok...they were a bit cold, actually, but the whole ensemble tasted really good. The fries... I'm a french fry addict, and I've been pretty good about staying sober except for the occasional indulgence once in a while. I was so excited to finally try the infamous french fries that everybody declared the best ever. Boy, was I disappointed. Like a little girl on Christmas morning, anxiously and frantically unwrapping the presents under the tree, hoping to find Barbie's Ferrari (hey, I grew up in the 80's), only to find clothes, shoes, and silly stuffed animals that provide no fun whatsoever. The portion is huge, I'll grant you that. They are obviously fresh...I like that they keep the skins on. But they were SOGGY!!!!!! This is a huge NO-NO!! French fries are meant to be soft and fluffy on the inside and golden crisp on the outside, with the occasional crunchy edge/tip. These were limp and did not have much salt. Which, I guess is something that you can fix, but I hate having to add salt to my food once it's served. It just doesn't taste the same... So, I'll be back again, cause I really liked the burger. But no fries for me. One less carb I have to worry about being addicted to.. :D (Until, of course, I happen to try the cajun fries). read more
