Etc Food: chicken full of tendons, little meat. Vegetales rice: clumpy, wet, gooey. Soda: flat Service: the cashier was nice but the servers... they complained and mock me for returning the unapealling fries. Cleanliness: the trash cans were overflowing Bathrooms. I don't know why I even bothered ordering. The last two experiences have been horrible and I don't know why I was expecting this one to be better. The chicken was so dry as usual. Eating cotton balls would be juicier than this chicken. The Churrasco, and I'm only assuming this is what it was. It smelled weird, looks like mulch, except mulch is probably juicier. I tasted it and it tasted weird. I put a picture of the steak. I thought I was getting in a picture of what I got. I will never go to this one again. Hi Yelps! this one was a big bummer for - I'm a huge pollo tropical fan my whole life! this is the pollo on 152 during lunch I ordered a Cesar salad wrap which is usually always a choice! and would recommend. I also ordered a side of small black beans (I love) and as I'm eating I feel and odd texture in my mouth and found this tiny piece of plastic. I paid $50: whole chicken family meal with rice and beans, an extra rice, large fries, large plantains, soup and flan. They gave me really dry chicken, who knows long it was there waiting for someone to order it. The fries were notoriously old and dried up. And a BIG problem with the plantains. Whoever fried them did not pay attention to their quality. The outside was dark and it felt sad, and when you took a bite, it was hard and extremely dry. The intercom must not have been working because an employee was standing outside taking orders on a tablet. Once we got to the window, we got our food, but we're barely acknowledged. No biggie, but one word would have been nice. The food was not as good as I've had at PT in the past. I'm not a fan of the way they do their yucca fries. They used to look like the typical fried yucca sticks, but are now bite-sized and are the equivalent of chicken nuggets at McD's. The chicken was great though. A bit charred, but those pieces actually had a ton of flavor, so I'm not mad about it! And finally, the sweet plantains tasted like oil or something. There was just an unpleasant flavor to them. 2 stars only because I like the food, however this location needs work. Service inside is sub par. Drive thru is ok but usually long lines. I come here because it's the closest location to my home, however with a new location coming soon I will drive farther for better service. Ordered twice recently through the official app and when I went to pick up there were issues both times. Just the other day I ordered curbside pickup, and it does not work here. The app directs you to call a 954 number (that is unanswered, I tried more than once)to say you have arrived. The phone number on the designated curbside pick up signs does not work either. Neither phone number are the locations phone number. Had to go inside to get my order that wasn't quite ready even though I ordered 1 hour prior and designated my pickup time and the app said order completed. Only one employee inside handing out the meals was pleasant. Doubt I'll come back to this location. read more

I read my fellow yelped reviews and luckily I wasn't totally screwed when I came to Pollo Tropical. However I did have the same occurrences which I was sad about since I love this place. For those who don't know Pollo Tropical is the epitome of the Hispanic fast food restaurant. There are others who are trying to join on this crusade (I see you Cuban Guys) however no one has managed to reach Pollo on a corporate level. Pollo Tropical has an array of Hispanic dishes that are the typical dish for MANY Hispanic countries. Rice, beans, some veggies, lots of grease aka mojo, and of course a meat. The main meat is obviously chicken (hence the name) but they throw in shrimp, steak, and other proteins. All Pollo Tropical's are the same and they aren't like all fast food restaurants. What defines them is the service they provide. This particular location forgets items that you ordered. To me since all fast food establishments should be equal, the fact that items are forgotten are a big deal. I have been here three times. All three times they forgot something. Twice it was big enough that I turned around and once I just kept driving. It is annoying needless to say. My other yelp reviewers agree when I read their reviews. Since this is next to my house and I absolutely love chicken I cannot run to another location so I guess this is my only option. However I cannot in good conscience give it a good review. Forgetting something EVERY single time? that's not good. Hopefully next time they won't. Who knows. read more

I saw several negative reviews for this location but we tried it tonight anyway and everything was great! I ordered the Churasco TropiChop with steak my hubby had the same and added black beans and corn. We got my daughter the chicken with the mac and cheese TropiChop. The fresh cooked chicken and steaks on the grill are visible from the counter and look and smell great. There are lots of topping options that you can eat there or use small containers and lids provided for to go orders. It was very busy at dinner time. The drive through was backed up so we went inside to order. The line went quickly and our order was just right and still warm when we arrived at home. Where do I start. The drive through line that reaches the road took about 45 to get through (with a closed inside store I really don't understand why it doesn't move at all). All the sauces are out of stock when you finally get to the front and the soda you received tastes like battery acid as they probably haven't thought to change it all day. Armani and Mike made this experience horrible! First time I came to this store and it will be the last time. I love going to Pollo Tropical but wanted to reach out to customer service that can take care of this situation so it does not happen again. First, when I arrive at the cashier the lady "Armani" was scratching her private parts under her shirt while I was standing in front of her with my family and she didn't cared to hide it. After she was done, she started taking my order like nothing happened, but as someone can relate is totally disgusting eating after someone did that in front of us. Second, whenever we were waiting for the food, the cashier got the order wrong and got another plate that we did not ordered. After they got the ordered good was fine; but of course they have to keep messing everything up. Third and last, the guy "Mike" who delivered the food to me was only wearing one plastic glove; the other hand had no plastic glove as he was using that hand to touch the food as well as touching the container. Arglay mentioned her composure and continued to be respectful during the whole ordeal. I was so impressed with how she dealt with the terrible customer. The staff is always rude and provide no kind of "customer service". There is NEVER any sauces, don't even bother asking. The food quality is below average. Best fast food ever invented (well, it ties with Chipotle) and priced at about $5-$10 a person depending on what you get. So why the three stars? Chicken quesadilla wrap - Melted cheese, seasoned to perfection chicken, tomatoes and their chicken quesadilla special sauce.... Make sure to get some extra special sauce for the wrap.. it's Ah-mazing! 2.) Tangy Pineapple Chick wrap - Also amazing but with a tangy island flavor that if you close your eyes and take a bit, it'll take you to the Bahamas! 3.) Tropi Chop - Love this bowl because I get to pick whatever toppings I want! Chicken, black beans, corn, onions, peppers, cheese...YUM!!! if you order this, I would suggest watching them prepare your food or don't leave the store without checking your order because they always mess up your customized order. 4.) Any of the chicken meals are wonderful. Either the 1/4 or the 1/2 chicken. I don't know what they season their chicken with but it makes it super succulent and juicy!! Also, the bread rolls that come on the side are so soft and delicious! 5.) Chicken Cesar Salad is wonderful and is a large portion as well! 6.) For sides you can't go wrong with the maduros (sweet plantains) waffle fries, or corn. If you are dining in, check out their condiment bar. There are tons of different tasty sauces to choose from and they have some veggies like chopped onions and jalapeños.
