Every dish was forgettable amd frustratingly bland the only thing that was nice about this place was the servers who honestly didn't want to be there either. $23 for octopus that had less flavor than canned chicken. $27 for grilled lamp chops where the meat portions were so small I kept biting the bone thinking, "there's no way that's all they're giving." $19 Greek Beef Stew Plate that tasted like Dinty Moores $19 Grilled Lemonato Chicken that needed steak sauce I was visiting Lexington for the first time and this place nearly ruined the whole experience. The cookie was also delicious. Nothing about the taste of this meal felt like it was from a chain. That said, the restaurant interior does give fast casual vibes. I've had their small sandwiches before, and even though they're technically a small size, they've always been very filling and generously made. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The sandwich seemed like it was missing a lot of the meat that I'm used to receiving. There was only one layer of meat, and it just didn't seem like it was made correctly. If I had paid nearly $10 for this sandwich, I would have taken it back because I truly believe it was not prepared the way it should have been. The customer service at the drive-thru was also disappointing. When I pulled up to the window, the interaction felt very awkward. I could hear employees talking amongst themselves, and I felt like I was barely acknowledged. When they handed me my order, it was done without much interaction--no thank you, no greeting, nothing. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. I understand that everyone has busy moments, but this visit was far below the experience I've had at Schlotzsky's in the past. I was excited to enjoy my birthday sandwich, but I left very disappointed with both the food quality and the service.
