NOT STERILE! NOT STERILE! NOT STERILE!!! Ok I usually eat at this location often (but no more) so during this lock down I wanted a burger and wanted to support my neighborhood Five Guys. Well I called to place an order and even tho that advertise "Curb Side Pickup" and its even posted on their door, the man that took my order said that location doesn't do that, obviously just freaking lazy. At the time I had not seen the poster on the door stating that fact they indeed do...but at this point it doesn't matter and I'm actually SO glad I did go inside to get my order. They were dead, so I paid and stood back 15 feet from the counter to wait...remember they are too lazy to bring outside to my car. As Im waiting Im watching one of the three workers (he was wearing latex gloves) and he was wiping down all of the surfaces that would get contaminated, counters, the work shelves the pick up area where the customers gather etc and as Im watching him he then reaches into the cut fries and puts them into the grease, never changing gloves or washing off! Im like..Wow! He goes back to wiping the contaminated areas again with the same gloves and same nasty rag. Here where it really goes bad. He then goes over an begins to put my burger together! Touching the bun all the ingredients with THE SAME GLOVES!!! I immediately said something to the manager who acted like nothing was wrong...he thought I was still going to eat this food!! Unbelievable! I demanded my money back and he still wanted me to take the nasty food... Its lazy, foolish, poor managers and ignorant workers like this crew that will spread Corona Virus and other germs!! For some reason this location tastes the best too me. It is probably because it is always busy. The other location near us isn't busy at all. I always get a little cheeseburger and share a little fry with my husband. The little cheeseburger is not little at all. It just has one patty while the regular cheeseburger has two patties. Ok so I decided to check this place out Sunday and expected a crowd; however when I got there, the place was empty. I was a little worried. I looked over the menu, made my way to the counter & was asked if it was my first time (yes). The young lady explained to me that the "little burgers" were single patty burgers while the regular burgers were all double patty burgers. She went on to explain that all toppings listed in black are the normal or "all the way" toppings while the ones listed in red were additions that could be added. Armed with my necessary info, I ordered the Little Cheeseburger, no mushrooms, add regular onions also (comes with grilled, and I wanted both) plus I ordered a small order of fries all to go. My total came out to a little over $7 which didn't seem too bad. They have huge boxes of peanuts with a scoop and paper basket you can scoop up to eat while you wait. The peanuts were good, and the wait was pretty short; plus you have a clear view of the kitchen and can see them making your burger fresh. I had a fry on the way home, and it was pretty good; my only problem is they were kinda soft, not really even crispy but totally tolerable. So let me tell you about this burger: it was HUGE! I couldn't open my mouth wide enough to take a bite; I don't know if I am too keen on this cuz I had to smoosh my burger town (LOL, seriously) to take a bite. OMG, plus they gave me an enormous amount of fries (which I could not finish) The burger was very tasty, juicy, not messy; I could not find the actual flavor of the grilled onions which was a slight disappointment but not a deal breaker. Went there yesterday and my experience was very pleasant. The servings are HUGE. I went there for breakfast and couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day. They have free roasted peanuts to snack on while you wait for your food and all the burger toppings are free. The large fry comes in a giant cup I think it was like 32 oz. My husband and I shared it and we still had another serving equivalent to what any other restaurant would consider a large fry. We got the double bacon cheeseburger and the cheesy hotdog. The flavor was great in both. They also have a coke freestyle machine. This is my new spot for burgers. I do wish there was one on my side of town though. Not greeted when I placed my order, cashier was a little rude and only 4 out of 6 people where wearing their masks. Restroom was not too clean not too dirty. I selected delivery on the five guys website, but was not made aware until after I paid that the food would be delivered through uber eats. I was not given contact information for the driver or told what kind of vehicle they would be driving. When I went downstairs to pick up my food I could not find the driver. I called uber support who could not help as the order had been placed through five guys. I called this five guys and the manager said they did not have a delivery service (check the website; they do). He insisted he had proof I had picked up my food and yelled at me to wait two more hours for it and then he would help me. I did not get my food and I did not get a refund as the manager refused me one. Do not go here or order from here via their website. I know I should be in love with something non-chain or some super fancy place where the ketchup has special herbal qualities or aioli or whatnot, but guess what - this is my place. I frickin love Five Guys and them opening down the street from me makes me pretty dang ecstatic. Berripop next door is an added bonus, a kind of fat girl heaven. I ate at Five Guys for the first time a couple years ago when I was up in Annapolis for business. I thought it was the most amazing burger ever and have compared every burger since to that standard. Grilled onions are my kryptonite, and any restaurant that lets you build a burger without nickle and diming every addition is alright by me. I thought their fries, though pretty spicy, were good as well. And hey, free peanuts! When they started showing up in Houston, I was thrilled. I continue to be amazed at how the experience at every single one of their stores seems to be the exact same. The food is always amazing, the service just the same. This is a weekly go to place for me after they opened just down the street from my place. Well-cooked and flavorful burgers, fresh and a wide variety of toppings, and don't even get me started on the fries. I could eat those cajun-spiced starchy sticks all day. They pack a lot into the buns, so it tends to get squished and soggy if you don't eat fast enough. The bacon cheese hot dog was pretty good as well. If you're lucky enough to be served by this one french fry lady, she will fill up your fry cup, and then dump another whole scoop into your bag. I love bag fries! read more

I've been to another location before, but it's nice they opened one up right on Washington. I think I'd consider this a quick-fix for a burger craving without having to drive too far. Friendly staff. There are peanuts for while you wait, though I don't recommend throwing the shells on the floor. The fries are fantastic! For the fries alone, you should want to come here. My dining companions assure me that the burgers are superior to any of the mainstream fast food joints. Came here during the week right after they opened at 11 am. I was surprised that there was already a good crowd. The place was very clean and organized. I brought my little brother (18 yr old, but my baby brother nonetheless lol) who had been wanting to try out their burgers and I myself have only been here a few times. There was a miscommunication when they took the order as I asked about the regular and "little" burger and the guy placed the order for two little burgers. No big deal, I immediately asked to change it and had no problem paying the difference. One of the employees was being rude about it. She didn't say nothing but was making the changes with an attitude. When they called my order asked another guy what the order consisted of since they had taken my receipt, he completely ignored me and without saying a word took the bag away from the counter. Simply the best burger of any burger franchise. Is it the least expensive? No. Is it the fanciest? Hardly. But if you want a genuine American burger or cheeseburger, then you can't go wrong with a Five Guys. I get the two patty bacon cheeseburger. It's always hot, juicy and delicious. Fries have the skins left on and are hot and crispy. I had the hot dog today. It's pretty good, but not as good (or as filling) as the burger. One of my favorite things about Five Guys is the fresh Jalapenos they use. If you dine in, get the regular size drink as you can get as many refills as you like. Free peanuts are nice. Service is always good and the place is always clean. I laugh reading some of the haters complaints. They don't have trays, so you're getting your burger in a paper bag. If that's an issue, eat somewhere else. read more

Had lunch there today for the first time with a friend. My buddy had been there before just after it opened and didn't want to go back because they totally screwed up his order the first time, but I talked him into returning. We placed our order, which came to $25.02. He was buying, so he got out a $20 bill and was digging for a smaller bill, but I had five $1 bills ready in my pocket, so I put them down on top of the 20. My buddy put down the 2 cents, pushed it across the counter, the cashier took the money, thanked us and we thanked him. We got our drinks, napkins, ketchup, and peanuts and sat down to wait. After maybe 5 minutes the manager called our number so I walked up to the counter, thinking our food was ready, but the manager told me there was a "problem" with our order. He said I only gave them three $1 bills. I said I left five, but the manager pointed to where the cashier was waving three $1s in the air. I wasn't going to argue, I just gave him a 5 and got back three ones. I walked back and asked my buddy if he saw me lay down five $1s and he said "Of course". We still had to wait another 5-10 minutes for our food. The burgers and fries were okay. I've been around a while, but this is the first time in my life I completed a restaurant order, paid, sat down at the table and waited, and had a manager call me up from across the room to tell me I didn't pay enough. My friend made fun of me because he had warned me and didn't want to go back there in the first place. I had intended to leave a tip (I didn't), so the extra two bucks wasn't that big a deal, but I'm never going back to 5 Guys. Ok, so their hand-cut fries are awesome (though salty), but their burgers? Not so much. Unless you like your bun to be a soupy, doughy mess, this burger can be sorta disgusting to eat. No seasoning or grilled flavor on the meat either - just a big, wet, greasy thing overall. Speaking of grease, by the time you get home, your ordinary paper take-out bag will have a nice shiny quality to it. Bonus! Yes, the grilled onions and mushrooms are a nice option and all, but you definitely pay for them one way or another. Spent $11 for a cheeseburger, fries, and coke and waited 15 minutes for my to-go order. You could drop the same amount at a sit-down restaurant and get a way better burger! Oh and a warning - The area next to the drink machine REEKS. At first I thought the man standing there had really let one rip (as he looked very shifty while he filled up). But after allowing adequate time for the air in his fart-space to dissipate, I approached the drink machine and was hit with that sulfurous aroma stronger than ever! Thankfully there wasn't anyone behind me, so I was spared the need to give the "Sorry, I know it stinks but I promise it wasn't me" look. Maybe they're just getting lazy, or maybe it was an off day, but I have to report (if you're wondering how I feel about the food, please read my original review): As I sat there waiting for my burger to come out, I watched as one of the workers was preparing a line of burgers. The buns of several sandwiches were laid out, and he was placing different things on each. I saw a fly hovering around the nearly-made burgers, and it landed on one of the sandwiches. I thought that the worker didn't see it, but he did because he just waved the fly off and proceeded to finish dressing all the burgers. Maybe I'm making a big deal about it because it was just a fly, but how easy would it have been for the worker to throw away the bun and tomatoes and whatever that the fly touched and start over? I'm going to say it'd be pretty easy. Thank goodness it wasn't my burger! Oh, and they got my fries order wrong. P.S. - I hate flies. read more

This place always puts out a consistently decent burger. Prices are good and you get a good sized meal. David and I both usually get the little cheeseburger and share a medium sized cajun fries. This last time I went, I was starving, so I really appreciated their complimentary peanuts! On a previous trip here, I wanted to substitute lettuce for the bun, but was sorely disappointed since it was just 1 measly piece of thin lettuce on either size of the burger. This place makes a good burger for a reasonable price. The fries are decent, but always seem to leave me feeling a little funny...not sure why. I've been frequenting FGB for a couple of years now but this is my first trip to this particular location. I placed an order on their extremely user-friendly website and it said it would be ready for pickup in 7 minutes. I also paid online to avoid the hassle of paying in-store. I walked into the store and it was very clean and inviting. I absolutely love that they have a separate line for phone/web orders so I can completely skip the line. After all, I shouldn't have to wait in line after all these people trying to figure out what they feel like eating today...right? Anyway, it was a good experience and I'll go again. It's not a gourmet burger, but it's a great quick burger place that will put down any other "Fast foood" burger any day of the week! read more

For all the people who don't like it, I find myself saying the same thing over and over... "I JUST LIKE IT, OKAY?!" It's true, I just like it. I don't know if it's the fresh jalapenos I can add.
