Five Guys is not cheap its definitely one of those places that you really have to crave it. IMO I think they are better than BurgerFi and most burger chains. I love my Burger a little greasy. I always get the little cheese burger because its the right size. I tried their bacon cheese burger and I didnt like how they cook the bacon. I like mine not all the way crispy . I like my bacon with long strips. Not broken little bits. Their fries are not worth it. Its never crispy and it's very bland, even with their malt vinegar. I dont recommend getting it to go or on UBEREATS. It will be very soggy. The milk shakes are good. I gotta take my lactaid though. Food is alway great and service is great. The restaurant on 12/31/24 was clean and had no customers when I stoped by to buy a gift card. The employee behind the counter didn't know what I was talking about or asking for--there was a language barrier. She had to ask another employee for help from the back of the restaurant. Five stars for five guys! Because why not! Their burgers are to die for. The employees at this location are super friendly and always fast. Lunch time can get a little crazy. I'm always in and out though. The burgers are always fresh and taste amazing! The prices are a bit high but for a great burger it is what it is. While I always opt for the little cheeseburger I feel like their burgers are getting smaller and smaller. Or perhaps I'm just more hungry lol but this time around the little cheeseburger (one patty) didn't seem to fill me up the same. There was more bread to patty ratio going on. I can't believe I am giving a 5 Guys location a 2-star review, just goes against all I believe in. And for the record, this only solid to this one location. Confusion started at the register and carried on to home. I was ordering 2 burgers the first being a bacon cheeseburger with just mushrooms. The second was a bacon cheeseburger all the way. So, she asked if I wanted "just mushrooms" and "all the way" on the same burger or if I wanted 2 different burgers. Hmmm, only one of those choices seems possible so I went with that. I felt 2 burgers in the bag so was on my way. Then I got home! I opened my burger, and while I am used to 5 Guys burgers being "moist;" this one soaked all the way through the bun, making it impossible to hold (think eating a burger with a fork which to my mind is un-American.) Then to the real disappointment. One of the constants between 5 Guys everywhere is the overwhelming orders of fries. We used to think it was a fun thing when people were in from non-5 Guys areas to watch then order large fries because (5 Guys fans know what I mean.) I ordered a regular (medium) fries, which is generally plenty for a few people to share; and this is where the real issue presented itself. There was the cup of fries and about 20 more in the bag. I never even thought to look, fries are a constant. Anyway, a few fries for me and the rest for the kids. I rashly only went there for the fries... Can't beat Five Guys. My order is true American Gluttony. Cheeseburger (two patties), extra cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, raw onion, fresh sliced jalapeños. Small fry, doused in vinegar and covered in salt. Sometimes I skip the vinegar and grab a side of BBQ sauce for dipping. Five Guys is so consistent. I've never had a bad experience and the food is always spot on. Hard to find a better quick service burger. Like the other locations I've visited the employees here are cordial. Tables could have been wiped down a little bit, hard to find a table without remnants of peanut shells But I found one and chowed down. Parking is easy. read more

It's honestly really hard for me to give pretty big fast food chain 5 stars, but they really do have one of the best burgers out that's easy and quick to get! I've gotten the opportunity to go to the 2 really hyped up burger places, Shake Shack and In-N-Out Burgers, and they really weren't all that. In fact, Five Guys burgers are a lot better. Pair that burger with Five Guy's delicious Cajun fries, no competition! I'll admit that In-N-Out is a lot cheaper and Shake Shack is slightly cheaper, but I'd pay extra for a thick juicy burger from Five Guys! Their fries are better too! If I want a burger that's consistent and will satisfy me, I'd suggest going to Five Guys. It doesn't disappoint! Don't wait to get a burger from Red Robin or continue to ride the hype of Shake Shack and In-N-Out if you're looking for a quick and delicious burger! P.S. Don't try to ask them any questions, they can't communicate effectively and do not have answers for anything more complex than the most basic instructions. I visited this location to pick up a milkshake the staff had mistakenly forgotten to include in the order my husband had picked up earlier that day (but which had been paid for). Since I am pregnant and cannot risk any food-borne illness or infection, I sought assurance from the staff that their milkshake products are pasteurized. After speaking to two staff members, I was unable to receive an answer. It is UNACCEPTABLE that staff operating in a food establishment cannot answer simple questions such as whether or not the ingredients are pasteurized. I searched for this information on the Five Guys website, but could not locate it. The level of English of the staff was appalling - I do not understand why staff who cannot adequately communicate in English are staffed to front-facing customer positions. However, even after I explained what "pasteurized" meant in Spanish, they still did not understand/know if their products are, in fact, pasteurized. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told one of the two staff was the manager. As a customer, how can I escalate an issue or obtain an answer if the person who is supposedly in charge has equally ineffective communication skills?! Management - train your staff, or hire better ones! Will not return. read more

I don't know how anyone has the audacity to make comparisons between Five Guys and In-N-Out. I mean, sure Five Guys should earn some points for being a place we can actually eat at, but I think we'd just rather not. My husband has been craving a burger for a couple weeks now, and we finally decided to come out to Five Guys. The best parts of my meal were the chocolate malt and the peanuts. I was really excited about the Cajun fries, but they were really disappointing. Over seasoned, soft and limp. I know it's hard to get crispy fries out of freshly cut potatoes, but I think that's why in-n-out makes them super-thin so they at least have a chance at being crispy. The burgers themselves were just disappointing. Sure, they were meaty, but something indescribable was lacking in flavor. We did finish our burgers (they cost us nearly $20, after all), but left our fries because they just weren't worth the calories. Oh, and In-N-Out 100% wins on price too. Their double doubles are like $6. You can't even get a Little for that at Five Guys. Oops, I guess I compared the two as well. I guess if I'd never had In-N-Out, there's the possibility I would eat here. On this coast, though, I think I'm more inclined to put my money towards Habit Burger than Five Guys. read more

This is hands down the best Five Guys in the Gaithersburg/Rockville/Bethesda area. I have lived nearby for the past five years, but in Silver Spring for 20+ years, so I've been to all of them, and probably this restaurant maybe...100 times. They have NEVER, not even once messed up my order or delayed it. The biggest difference is that the vegetables taste so much better than other places, and the staff is very nice. This is my regular Five Guys location. Its always clean and has a healthy stock of peanuts to eat free while waiting. If you've ever been to a Five guys before you know you can't specify the temperature of the meat but its a quick option that is still high quality. I normally go for the cheeseburger (2 patties), the free peanuts and a water. This location does have those annoying soda machines that spit out a million different flavors of soda and backup if there's a lot of people waiting. The raw jalapenos are one of my favorite topping when in the mood for something spicy. read more

Five Guys is the best place for a quality burger in this area. They sure know how to make one greasy hamburger which I really appreciate. It definitely oozes with grease so be sure to pack a lot of napkins. The wait is about five minutes which is great because they make it fresh. While waiting, I always fill myself up with peanuts as if I was the elephant in Monsoon Wedding. The fries are delish too. Burgers. Yes, I've already reviewed this place, the Aspen Hill location, but I must review it again, since I had a different type of burger at this location. I tweaked my normal order this time around, and had my burger with hot sauce. Was it a good idea? Maybe not. Not that the burgers here are not good. More a fact you just have to figure out what works with your burger or not. While the hot sauce did give it a good kick to the burger, it made it a bit messy, as hot sauce isn't thick like ketchup is. As always, Five Guys is a great burger experience. I still have to try 'In and Out', and in NYC we have the 'Shake Shack', but the burgers here are a bit better than the Shake Shack, yet a bit messier to eat. I can't remember a Five Guys I wouldn't give less than 4 stars, but this place stands out for its friendly efficient service. Never a mistake; the counter staff smile and the behind the counter call your number loudly enough. No problem with getting a small cup for just water. The junior bacon cheeseburger is usually plenty and small fries are generous enough to share with at least 2 others. It can get busy because of its location, so try to plan to be there just before or just after the lunch crowds. Parking lot is free and spacious enough with multiple entrances and exits. read more

Mexican: free chips and salsa Italian: free bread with olive oil Chinese: fried wonton crisps with sweet & sour sauce Five Guys: free peanuts!! Burgers here are OK, you add whatever toppings you want. I think the mushrooms are canned. You can get a Chicago style hot dog here -- just order the grilled hot dog and add all the toppings.
