Haven't had Checkers in a while, so we decided to stop by. Usual drive through ambiance with a few seating outside. No wait and everything was super quick and food came out hot, except the burger could've been better - the cheese barely melted. I love their seasoned fries and they came out super crispy and fried just right. First time having their apple pie and it's smaller than McD's but much better. Also baked to perfection, good crisp on the outside and a good coating of cinnamon and sugar - tasted like a good churro on the outside! Staff were good, we asked questions and they didn't rush us. My husband and I got checkers and we are absolutely disappointed because the wings were dry and not good. We had a sudden hankering for burgers, fries, and milk shakes last night so off we went to Checkers. I was going to place a web order ahead of time but decided against it due to their $4+ service charge. I can sorta understand the rationale for it if it's a delivery order but it wasn't. Anyhow, we placed an order of XL fries, chili dog, big buford, and 2 small milkshakes. The food tasted great even after waiting until we got home. The only somewhat unfortunate thing was how frozen the milkshake was. It made it impossible to suck it up and it was more like frozen custard. We ordered 1 chocolate and 1 vanilla shakes but both were vanilla. Oh well. Overall the service was quick and the food tasted ok. Who got Tmobile?! You cash in on this Thank You Tuesday?! Yeah, TMobile has this thing called "Thank You Tuesday" or maybe it's just "T-Mobile Tuesdays." In any event, you get free perks for being a T-mobile member and one of them last Tuesday was a free burger from Checkers. There was a LINE of cars lined up trying to cash in, so I decided to park and just walk up to the counter instead of lazily waiting in my car. Definitely a good choice. I went up and ordered the free burger and also decided to get a 5 piece combo of their "Sweet and smoky wings." The transaction was fine... but then when my bag was handed to me there was two burgers inside. I knocked on the window to get the woman's attention and was like... uhhh this is suppose to be a burger and some wings. She chatted with the cashier, who must have accidentally heard me wrong, and they got to prepping my wings. After they prepped my wings, they allowed me to take the additional burger that they prepared by accident as well as the ordered wings and burger. YAY! I got 2 free burgers! So as they were prepping my wings I noticed that they did have a "Sweet and Smoky Burger" on the menu. So I assumed that this is what she confused my order with. Got home and ate my burger and wings. The fries were good, albeit PRETTY salty. The burger was quite good! Amongst fast food burgers, I have to say, this thing was pretty delicious. I had the second burger the next day and enjoyed that as well. The wings... lacked a bit of finesse. But I honestly wasn't expecting that much finesse out of wings from checkers. They were decent, I did enjoy the sweet and smoky sauce that was on them. Definitely wouldn't mind stopping by checkers if I needed some fast eats. I always sort of forget it exists. Okay, so yes it's fast food. So it's not going to be 5 star, but we LOVE this Checkers location. The Good: 1) They basically never mess up our order. Even when we ask for things like (no pickle, no mustard, extra ketchup, no cheese, etc.). We always customize and it is always right. Let me tell you that is basically unheard of with most fast food drive throughs. 2) They are fast 3) The servers are always polite 4) The fries (which they're known for) are always hot and fresh 5) They have a lot of good "deals" on the menu board - like 2 chili dogs for $4.20 or 2 big double cheese burgers for $6, etc. Definitely check the specials The Bad: Nothing really, except that none of use should be eating this kind of food regularly, but it's one of my daughter's favorite spots! Today I went down the right lane and the employee told me their computer had crashed and I should swing back around and go down the left lane. Honestly if this was any other place I would've left but I go to Checkers so infrequently that I did as she said. The chili cheese dog (pictured) is a classic staple of fast food. Top that off with those unforgettable fries that are seasoned to perfection and you've got a great lunch for under $6. What I especially love about Checkers is their dipping sauces. Can I say I love everything about this place except for the FRIES! (I think everyone has their own preference lol) But their fries taste like popeyes fries. They are too hard and super salty. Other then that? This place is poppin! I been coming here since my younger college years. lol They have the drive though and you can sit out and eat. This is a fast food restaurant that has outdoor seating and a double drive-through. The left-hand drive-through was closed today but there was no line. I got their number seven combo which is their spicy chicken sandwich. It didn't have much flavor or spice and the shredded lettuce didn't taste very good. It also came with tomatoes and pickles and an orange sauce on the sandwich. Their fries have pepper on them and they smelled and tasted great. Everything was hot and fresh. It came with a 32 ounce drink as well. The straw came in an unmarked wrapper so I don't know if it's plant-based so it might be plastic. They also have burgers, hot dogs, fish sandwiches, chicken tenders, and mozzeralla sticks. They have some really good dessert options at this restaurant including funnel cake fries. read more

Such a newbie to Checkers. I've never had it until today and the experience was....well could be better. It's conveniently close to my work and driving in to get to the drive thru felt like Mario Kart. They had two lanes which could be confusing for first timers like me but it helped the lunch rush going quickly. I was amazed with how close the food window was to the passenger seat window (curiously watching the car in front of me). I thought to myself would I have to climb over to my seat to grab my food with my short arms or will this all work out? Surprised with the outcome, the food was reachable! I ordered the big chicken sandwich with small fries. I enjoyed the fries but the sandwich was just okay in my opinion. The shredded lettuce was welted and it barely had much inside. The lettuce should be overflowing since that's the star ingredient of the sandwich.
