Five Guys, meant to be one of those better fast food burger places, is a restaurant I had higher expectations for. The one I have back at home is what set the limit so high. As usual the food is good. Free peanuts is a plus. Service wasn't as great... It was a little hard to understand the cashier and she got my order wrong, when I repeated mushrooms 3 times. Never been to a 5 guys, no reason to with in n out. I went in at lunch time and only 4 tables were occupied. After looking at the menu I understand. What an absolute ripoff. $9.00 for a cheeseburger and $4.00 for a "mini" fries. I dont mind spending money on food. But holy hell at least $13 for a hamburger and fries not even a drink. read more

This is place is way better then In n' Out. The atmosphere is way better, the patio was a great change from sitting inside. The parking was easy to get in and out, and everything was very clean. The food was great. They give you a list of options, that you get to choose from. So it is like building your own burger. I got the Bacon Burger, and it was really good. After learning the history of the Hamburg joint called five Guys, I was anxious to try. It's been several weeks so I finally decided to go after work to the closest one from my job. The map quest suggested I drive to the Fullerton location. Got there and couldn't believe how it looked from the outside. Opened the door and unfortunately the appears got worst. The place was a mess, dirty tables and the two workers behind the counter looked exhausted and over worked. I ordered online so it was too late to cancel my order and I had driven 8 miles to pick my order up. I won't elaborate on how awful the burger was. I ordered Cajun fries which were completely over seasoned, high blood pressure fries is what they serve there! My advice, stay away from the place. Hopefully not all FG are like this! Not sure who's responsible for the location. They should be fired. What a dump and clearly the words out on this place, only two people two customers there! read more

This review is based on solely taste. For the price, I can't argue that it's pretty expensive compare to in-n-out. But to me, the taste is better than in-n-out. Especially if you love bacon. You will love their bacon burgers/hotdogs. The bacon is always crispy and the beef patties are flavorful. The hotdogs are very tasty. Cajun fries are great. Oh, and FREE peanuts. read more

First off I would like to say my boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. Last time we made a stop here for some delicious burgers I told my two favorite employees (Lil G and El Pollo) that I was going to yelp about them. Today when my boyfriend and I were stopping in for some food I had a Ronda Rousy knockout moment from El Pollo when he said "I was on yelp the other day..." and I knew he knew I hadn't yelped yet. So as my burger patiently waits for me to eat it (because I told El Pollo I wouldn't take a bite till I yelped) I am here telling everyone this is the Five Guys to go to. We always have the best service by Lil G and El Pollo, they always make our day as soon as we walk in the door. Five Guys is very lucky to have them as employees. We will keep going to this Five Guys as much as possible, not only because the burgers are out of this world, but the service is too. read more

I went to this restaurant yesterday with my mom and dad. I ordered a cheeseburger with relish, mustard, and onions. Mom ordered the little cheeseburger with everything and dad ordered the cheeseburger with everything and 1 regular cup of fries. The cheeseburger and the fries were delicious. It does not get 5 stars because the cheese was not completely melted on my burger again and they give peanuts that are too salty. This half melted cheese thing has happened many times at this place. This place has received so much hype that I was both excited and scared to go there. I was excited because I wanted to taste this burger that was so great that it might threaten In-N-Out's existence. Five Guys was supposed to be the In-N-Out killer, kind of like how the newest Android phones are supposed to be the iPhone killer. I was scared because I didn't want to admit that there was a burger chain in existence that topped In-N-Out. Well, if In-N-Out is like an iPhone, then Five Guys is like a Blackberry that costs twice as much: you eat there and you wonder, "why didn't I get an iPhone again? And why did I spend so much money on such an average (at best) burger?" The burgers are not well seasoned. NOTHING stands out about this joint other than the selection of toppings from which you may choose. The meat was bland and it just didn't taste good. There is a reason why the lines are so short: it's not that good. Put it another way: If Five Guys was so much better than In-N-Out, wouldn't we be able to tell by looking at the lines? Judging by the lack of a crowd there (and almost constant crowd at In-N-Out), no one wants to pay twice as much for a mediocre burger. read more

Such awesome burgers at Five Guys. A regular bland looking burger franchise, with awards hanging on the wall and a menu that displays under 10 items to choose from. Five Guys has that hasty In-N-Out flow with one difference, the burger. The employees are quick on their feet and loud for their hungry customers who wait eagerly to demolish 100% pure beef. I went here expecting the burgers to be like any other typical family owned burger joint, but instead I experienced not only good service, but a new personal top favorite burgers. The workers are super friendly and helpful, and with the difference then other conventional hamburger spots, you build your own meat on a bun. I think that even though it doesn't take much effort, a smile and a "have a good one" can really go a long way once you get your food. After plunging myself into the famous recipe, I realized that this burger is one of a kind, super juicy with just the right amount of zesty condiments, it's no winder Five Guys became a hot spot. Nope, my opinion did not change. Burger still tasteless. And what's with the tasteless cheese? Unlike any other cheese I have had. Even the pickles were yuck. And the grilled onions were tossed on the grill and flash grilled. Not even translucent or browning. Had to take them off. They were brown and tasty on the burger my husband ordered. He loves this place which is why I decided to give it try number two. Should have kept in mind my husband loves mung fish liver too... But we got regular fries this time and they were fresh out of the grease and salted just right for me so at least there was that. While we were there we saw a group of three, two had seemed to be half way done while the third was waiting still. He asked the staff and finally they told him they will get it to him on the fly but it sounded like they dropped it which is why it took twice as long. Should have gone to smash burger for the price. $20 for a big burger, a small burger and a large fries. Just didn't want to drive to Buena Park after driving all over Fullerton. read more

My first time here and I was expecting great things. Ordered the little bacon cheeseburger and little fries with a coke. At $12 it was not cheep . Ate the peanuts while waiting for my order which was a nice touch. Very disappointed with my food. The fries were covered in salt and soggy. May be that's how the fries are supposed to be but not for me. Unfortunately I chose to add ketchup with my burger and the cook was as liberal with the ketchup as he was with the salt.
