Awesome burgers, burnt fries (in a good way), good fountain drinks. Every burger lover needs to try this place. Great texture on the meat & bun. You choose your fixings, and the cheese is perfect. Fries are consistanly over cooked & burnt, stick to the small size, or share a regular. My east cost friend says that at his locations they are not burnt, so it may just be this one. This burger is a better burger than In & Out. read more

Great burgers and fries. No complaints about the food at all it's just expensive. Remember their "regular" burgers are actually double patties and their jr burgers are single patties. read more

Five Guys, meant to be one of those better fast food burger places, is a restaurant I had higher expectations for. The one I have back at home is what set the limit so high. As usual the food is good. Free peanuts is a plus. Service wasn't as great... It was a little hard to understand the cashier and she got my order wrong, when I repeated mushrooms 3 times. She gave me onions instead. It was probably the music they were blasting. Probably not going to come back, since I can find cheaper better places. read more

I'm an enormous fan of five guys, place is fantastic! The hey have great food, especially they're Cajun fries and burger combo. I don't get anything particularly eclectic or different, but that's because the burger and fries combo is just so damned good! Apart from the fact that they're food is great, the service here is awesome. Everyone I've had the pleasure of speaking to here has been helpful, kind, down to earth, and hard working. Casey especially (forgive me if I've misspelled her name) has been particularly helpful. She has always been kind, helpful, and extremely hardworking. I eat here often, and I have NEVER seen a time where she wasn't busting her azz to get things done, even when I'm the only customer in store. Keep it up girl! The ONLY down side to this place is the cost. It's not a cheap "fast food" but it definitely makes up for that with quality of ingredients and character. read more

Simple: very Friendly service, a tad bit long on the food. But it really tastes good and its very customizable which is what everyone secretly wants at a restaurant. If your the person looking for a cheap eatery, dont come here and complain. Minus 1 star because there are peanut shells scattered across the floor read more

This is place is way better then In n' Out. The atmosphere is way better, the patio was a great change from sitting inside. The parking was easy to get in and out, and everything was very clean. The food was great. They give you a list of options, that you get to choose from. So it is like building your own burger. I got the Bacon Burger, and it was really good. The fries are good also, I recommend only ordering one order for two people. The portions are very big. read more

For 2 people to have hamburger, fries and drink.....it cost over $40....way too expensive for fast food.......

Never been to a 5 guys, no reason to with in n out. I went in at lunch time and only 4 tables were occupied. After looking at the menu I understand. What an absolute ripoff. $9.00 for a cheeseburger and $4.00 for a "mini" fries. I dont mind spending money on food. But holy hell at least $13 for a hamburger and fries not even a drink. read more

Meh... If this is the east coast's in-n-out ... the east coast must suck... Burger was good, but presentation was not great.. and that matters with a burger! High quantity of fries, and good quality too... read more

This review is based on solely taste. For the price, I can't argue that it's pretty expensive compare to in-n-out. But to me, the taste is better than in-n-out. Especially if you love bacon. You will love their bacon burgers/hotdogs. The bacon is always crispy and the beef patties are flavorful. The hotdogs are very tasty. Cajun fries are great. Oh, and FREE peanuts. read more

Kinda scared to eat at this location cause of the 3 stars. But glad I did. Food was delicious. My wife and I got cheese burgers and the kids got hotdogs. Everything came out great. Only reason not 5 star, I do feel it's a little pricey. Overall good experience read more

After learning the history of the Hamburg joint called five Guys, I was anxious to try. It's been several weeks so I finally decided to go after work to the closest one from my job. The map quest suggested I drive to the Fullerton location. Got there and couldn't believe how it looked from the outside. Opened the door and unfortunately the appears got worst. The place was a mess, dirty tables and the two workers behind the counter looked exhausted and over worked. I ordered online so it was too late to cancel my order and I had driven 8 miles to pick my order up. I won't elaborate on how awful the burger was. I ordered Cajun fries which were completely over seasoned, high blood pressure fries is what they serve there! My advice, stay away from the place. Hopefully not all FG are like this! Not sure who's responsible for the location. They should be fired. What a dump and clearly the words out on this place, only two people two customers there! read more

I'm in love with the salted caramel milkshake, I have a serious sweet tooth and this was bombbbb

Ordered online for takeout. Arrived at the appropriate time and waited an additional 25 minutes. Not busy at all and very unorganized employees. Food was good. read more

I love some of these reviews...like those who stop in for just a drink or those who order a grilled cheese sandwich or those who don't like the peanuts. Really? This is a burger joint that serves excellent burgers with unlimited variations. Love it! read more

First off I would like to say my boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. Last time we made a stop here for some delicious burgers I told my two favorite employees (Lil G and El Pollo) that I was going to yelp about them. Today when my boyfriend and I were stopping in for some food I had a Ronda Rousy knockout moment from El Pollo when he said "I was on yelp the other day..." and I knew he knew I hadn't yelped yet. So as my burger patiently waits for me to eat it (because I told El Pollo I wouldn't take a bite till I yelped) I am here telling everyone this is the Five Guys to go to. We always have the best service by Lil G and El Pollo, they always make our day as soon as we walk in the door. Five Guys is very lucky to have them as employees. We will keep going to this Five Guys as much as possible, not only because the burgers are out of this world, but the service is too. read more

With any grand opening there will be lines so If you're worried, don't, it'll dissipate if that is not already the case...Similar to a freshmen girl and a senior boy. Give it a month, fun's over and everybody will get some in no time. read more

Horrible service got my order wrong twice and the idiot smelled like weed. Never coming back to this shit hole

The burgers are super greasy the fries although well seasoned are always soggy. Why would you eat here with a Habit and in n out so close by? read more

I went to this restaurant yesterday with my mom and dad. I ordered a cheeseburger with relish, mustard, and onions. Mom ordered the little cheeseburger with everything and dad ordered the cheeseburger with everything and 1 regular cup of fries. The cheeseburger and the fries were delicious. It does not get 5 stars because the cheese was not completely melted on my burger again and they give peanuts that are too salty. This half melted cheese thing has happened many times at this place. I call it the half melted cheese thing because the cheese was not completely melted. This place is alot better than In N Out. read more

NO FLAVOR IN THE HAMBURGER, ( the only flavor in the burger was the from the pickles, it tasted sour) THE FRIES ARE SOGGY AND SALTY.. OVER PRICE!!! Lunch for two is $19.00 = 2 regular burgers, 1 small fries and 2 small drinks (geezz..for this price I can have a feast at InNOut) I CAN COOK A BETTER BURGER AT HOME FOR A CHEAPER PRICE. The Habit and InNOut are a better choice for lunch in the fullerton area. read more

You can't hide an inferior burger by piling extra fries on it!! In and out crushes 5 guys!

Sorry east coast, In and Out just has just got you beat ! I mean the burger is good, don't get me wrong, but for around 4$ I think In and Out's burger is just better and cheaper ! However, I've to say the fries here are good. Really good, especially if you like the type that has the potato skin attached to it. I'm not sure if it justifies the higher prices. I mean, maybe its the hype, but I expected more? read more

so... i thought i'd give 5 guys a try since i've seen so much hype on them. turns out, it's just hype. shrugs.. maybe i'm spoiled? i mean, yes, i've grown accustomed to 25 degrees burgers and slater's 50/50 burgers.. but if the east coast has 5 guys to compare to our in n out.. i'd rather have in n out, especially for the price. and free peanuts? what the heck, that's SO random. i feel like an elephant if i wanted to get a bag of peanuts for free. also.. burger is okay. it's not that great.. but it wasn't bad. for "studying-for-finals" food, it does the job, but i wouldn't come back if given the option if it was next to an in n out or other burger joint. read more

Gross gross grosss hamburger. Super poor quality meat! Would never ever come here again!!! My kids wouldn't even eat the burger!

I've been hearing that Five Guys is better than In n out. It's not. Regardless, Five Guys is delicious, the atmosphere is lively and they have free peanuts... Burgers here basically taste like really good homemade burgers. read more

This place has received so much hype that I was both excited and scared to go there. I was excited because I wanted to taste this burger that was so great that it might threaten In-N-Out's existence. Five Guys was supposed to be the In-N-Out killer, kind of like how the newest Android phones are supposed to be the iPhone killer. I was scared because I didn't want to admit that there was a burger chain in existence that topped In-N-Out. Well, if In-N-Out is like an iPhone, then Five Guys is like a Blackberry that costs twice as much: you eat there and you wonder, "why didn't I get an iPhone again? And why did I spend so much money on such an average (at best) burger?" The burgers are not well seasoned. NOTHING stands out about this joint other than the selection of toppings from which you may choose. The meat was bland and it just didn't taste good. There is a reason why the lines are so short: it's not that good. Put it another way: If Five Guys was so much better than In-N-Out, wouldn't we be able to tell by looking at the lines? Judging by the lack of a crowd there (and almost constant crowd at In-N-Out), no one wants to pay twice as much for a mediocre burger. read more

So I heard that this place is like "in N out" from NY so i was curious and tried out! I ordered combo and it was a little bit expensive compared to in n out! I like how you can get free peanuts for appetizer for some odd reason but they were delicious too! haha I also like their season fries! :) read more

I was craving a burger .. hit the spot. Sorry but In-n-Out Burger is just not burgery enough for me. The burger was cooked to perfection. Love that you can create your own burger. Its pricey but when you have a serious craving its worth the quick fix. read more

Such awesome burgers at Five Guys. A regular bland looking burger franchise, with awards hanging on the wall and a menu that displays under 10 items to choose from. Five Guys has that hasty In-N-Out flow with one difference, the burger. The employees are quick on their feet and loud for their hungry customers who wait eagerly to demolish 100% pure beef. I went here expecting the burgers to be like any other typical family owned burger joint, but instead I experienced not only good service, but a new personal top favorite burgers. The workers are super friendly and helpful, and with the difference then other conventional hamburger spots, you build your own meat on a bun. I think that even though it doesn't take much effort, a smile and a "have a good one" can really go a long way once you get your food. After plunging myself into the famous recipe, I realized that this burger is one of a kind, super juicy with just the right amount of zesty condiments, it's no winder Five Guys became a hot spot. Thanks for the service and good food guys! read more

Nope, my opinion did not change. Burger still tasteless. And what's with the tasteless cheese? Unlike any other cheese I have had. Even the pickles were yuck. And the grilled onions were tossed on the grill and flash grilled. Not even translucent or browning. Had to take them off. They were brown and tasty on the burger my husband ordered. He loves this place which is why I decided to give it try number two. Should have kept in mind my husband loves mung fish liver too... But we got regular fries this time and they were fresh out of the grease and salted just right for me so at least there was that. While we were there we saw a group of three, two had seemed to be half way done while the third was waiting still. He asked the staff and finally they told him they will get it to him on the fly but it sounded like they dropped it which is why it took twice as long. Should have gone to smash burger for the price. $20 for a big burger, a small burger and a large fries. Just didn't want to drive to Buena Park after driving all over Fullerton. read more

My first time here and I was expecting great things. Ordered the little bacon cheeseburger and little fries with a coke. At $12 it was not cheep . Ate the peanuts while waiting for my order which was a nice touch. Very disappointed with my food. The fries were covered in salt and soggy. May be that's how the fries are supposed to be but not for me. Unfortunately I chose to add ketchup with my burger and the cook was as liberal with the ketchup as he was with the salt. Ended up trying to eat a ketchup burger as I could not taste anything else . To sum up , over priced over hyped and poor food. Give this a miss food fans read more

Burger was good ,but it didn't taste like a charbroiled burger ,i was expecting it charbroiled ! but the french fries was good.

I just don't get it. How is this place popular? It's not even close to as good as in and out.

I've always liked this place. However, I came in today "Christmas eve" at 4:55pm , and they refused to serve us and said that it's closed! And the sign at the door says it closes at 5pm! I don't know what to say to that! Their reasoning was that they ran out of products!! :) just wanted to get this out there. I've always loved the people here, but i'm not sure what's happening today. read more

It was cool. Got a double cheese burger and fries. I personally think in n out is better and half the price!

Don't believe the hype. Really overpriced. IN-N-OUT is far superior, plus Mc Donald's actually taste better and I'm not even a fan of McDeee's. read more

It's alright, overpriced burgers that falls apart on you and ok fries. I still like my in n out way better.

Giving this two stars, one more than I wanted to. I actually want to give this place one star. But their service is good. Yet, their burgers are lousy. The cheese is not even melted at all, and I've had much better burgers else where (think Habit and Shake Shack). It's not like these burgers are even cheap, heck, they are actually expensive burgers here at Five Guys. Big regret coming here. read more
