I love throwing this place in the mix with my other favorite burger joints. I always feel I get a fresh perfectly cooked cheeseburger. And getting to customize your meal just makes it that much more enjoyable. My go-to is usually a double cheeseburger, with lettuce, mayo, tomato, jalapeño, mushrooms, and grilled onions. This is definitely among the more expensive fast food restaurants on my list. However, you pay for what you get - I rarely can finish both the burger and fries, especially when factoring in the plethora of fries they dump into bag. WTF!! Stopped in and ordered. Set a $20 bill down on the counter because I was putting another one back into my wallet and the cashier was still typing in my order. When he finished, he looks at the bill on the counter right in front of him and says "usually people hand me the bill". I Really didn't think anything of it but then he makes a point to put my change on the counter rather than hand it to me. I didn't really care but it seemed like a dick move. Whatever. But now I'm waiting for my order and wondering if this guy is really that upset about it and what else is this guy capable of doing being he was so petty about the $20 on the counter? So I go up and ask him if he is a manager and he tells me he is an assistant manager. I ask him if my putting the money on the counter really upset him and explained I meant no insult by it and he was giving me really odd vibe about it. Told him I only set it down because I was putting something back in my wallet and he was still typing my order. Rather than taking the opportunity to meet me half way and say, hey, no problem, he double downs on it and starts lecturing me on dollar bill etiquette at the fast food restaurant. Five guys, gives you lots of options on the toppings. So you should be able to find a combination you like. The bigger is good. A little expensive but with the options of topping. I understand I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with bacon. It was fine, nothing great about it. I do like it better than in n outs burgers. The French fries were terrible. Under cooked . Limp and mushy in the middle. It doesn't look like they time the fries. A big mistake if the person that is making them is new to making them. I really wanted a milkshake & he recommended the banana and it was DELICIOUS. Josh recommended I mix it with strawberry next time which I definitely will do. I recently tried Five Guys for the first time, and I am not sure why I waited so long. It was fantastic. Juicy burgers cooked to order with your choice of ingredients. I keep mine simple with ketchup, mustard, pickles, tomato, extra cheese, and grilled onions. The meat patties were the size that I like, not overwhelming. I might order the "little burger" next time, because I ended up getting full and giving some of the leftover meat of the original size burger to my pugs. The regular sized burger is double patties! Keep that in mind, as I did not know. Now for my favorite part: THE FRIES!! Wow, such yummy fries! Not your average French fry. They are skin on and golden and oh so delicious. Very nice, welcoming, and accommodating employees! I've heard it said that some Five Guys locations won't season their beef, but I asked the register and she said they would be able to season the patty for me with salt. She was very accommodating and asked if I'd like the salt to be added while grilling or after it's been grilled. I appreciate the clarification and accuracy on getting my order correct since the prices are so high! Have been here several times and everything time I come the cashier(who is fine ass hell by the way) is always friendly, funny and always remembers my name. I really like how he remembers my name it means a lot to me. Also, he always asked me how I am doing and actually cares and listens. I truly appreciate that.
