I'm disappointed with Framingham's Five Guys because of the fries. The burgers are always delicious, but the fries are kinda sad looking and sad tasting. They should be crisp and hot but sometimes they've been soggy and slumpy. I would suggest going down the street to the Natick stop if you're craving fries. I stopped by this Five Guys for lunch. My burger was incorrect, and because we were pressed for time, I was unable to go back and get it fixed. I didn't think it would be that big of a change: I asked for jalapeños and received bacon. As it turns out, it made a world of difference. The bacon was awful. This is not unique to the Framingham location; the bacon is generally awful at all Five Guys. There is nothing wrong with this location, but they are mostly average. The food is hot, and the portions are generous- especially with the fries. Being able to customize your burger means that it is easier to make healthy choices. Oh, you should also know that a burger is actually a double burger. If you want a regular burger you have to order the little hamburger. I love Five Guys, and as the previous poster wrote, this franchise follows the model to a T, which is a good thing! Their burgers are fresh and delicious, with a variety of interesting toppings for no extra charge. I had fresh sliced jalapenos on my burger along with sauteed mushrooms and cheddar cheese. YUM! The fries are also very fresh and tasty. A couple of specific tips: Unless you are VERY hungry or VERY big, you want to get the smaller size burger. A large size order of fries is enough to feed a family of four. They have free peanuts available near the trash bins. These peanuts are delicious and a great snack to keep the kids entertained while they wait for their meals. I go with my 2 small children, and request that they slice a burger in half for them to share, which makes life easier My only complaint about Five Guys is that I wish they offered milkshakes or more interesting drink options! read more

For what it is, OUTSTANDING. I come here 2-3 times per year. I like the music. I always get the veggie sandwich, no cheese, with bacon (hey I'm human) and grilled veggies. An amazing meal and a great deal. Also got a small fry, which I could not finish. A plate would be a good idea for them to have. The people there are very nice, the place is clean, and they now have milk shakes. Could not be much better, unless they had whole grain buns, organic meat and swiss cheese. read more

When I need a big meal, this is my go-to spot. There is no shame in getting the burger bowl. I don't eat buns so it's nice not to feel that awkwardness that can come with getting a burger sometimes. Free refills on drinks. If you eat fries, the small is another place's large. One thing to note is that it is exceptionally easy to get "hangry" there waiting for the burgers. They are all made fresh and to order right in front of the customers. It gets even more intense if a single parent is managing 4 hungry 8-10-year-olds running around like maniacs. Burgers are freshly made and the toppings are plentiful. Just be sure you're not counting calories. The cajun fries had too much cajun spice which made it slightly too salty. I went to a five guys in Maryland last year with my parents on the drive up from Virginia. It was so delicious. So this location has been open a few months now and we headed over for lunch today. Considering what your burger options where in Framingham before 5 guys this is a huge upgrade. I ordered the small cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard. My fiancee had the bacon wrapped hotdog with cheese, onions and mayo. We split a small fry. There was very little wait. It was loaded with lots of little kids running around. Kinda what we expected. They had just opened and the floors where really dirty which worried me a bit. The tables where also very wabbly! It was so annoying I had to hold it down with my foot the whole time. The hotdog was good but I think more than one of these in a lifetime may kill you. The fiancee said he loved it but not too long later he felt pretty sick. Who wouldn't. It was a giant hotdog wrapped in like 4 pieces of bacon, smothered in cheese. A man clearly invented this. My burger was so juicy and delicious. They messed up the toppings so I went up and he gave me what they forgot in little to-go containers. While I was glad to get my mushrooms and onions they would have been better right off the grill and warm. The fries are the best. We split a small and couldn't finish them. Order smalls of everything cause the servings are huge. I would go there again if it was takeout but I don't think I will be eating in anytime soon. read more

Dined here with the wife this evening - first time to a Five Guys. Color me impressed. I've read at least one review that said it was a "step above McDonald's." You must have incredibly large steps or you're eating at WAY better McDonald's locations than I'm used to. No wait in line, courteous service, the drink selection is IMMENSE, and the burgers were absolutely perfect gut bombs. The regular order of fries is more than enough for two people - we barely dented them because the burgers were so filling. Only thing I'd add to the place is a milkshake option. Warning if you have peanut allergies do not go here! I could have almost died from eating at this place. I only went because my friend at the car wash said they have really great burgers. Its actually located right across the road from one of the most popular fast food restaurants named mcdonalds and burger king. I am not kidding its literally that close together. This place seemed more fancy though. I stood in line a long time and I order a hamburger and french fries. Its not like mcdonalds where they give the food right away. You actually have to wait for it. While I was waiting I felt really weird and I thought I smelled peanuts. I was physically shocked to see big boxes full of peanuts all around me! I'm actually allergic so I ran the heck out of there before I even got my food. They should warn you. After that I went and ate at the mcdonalds drive through instead. Much safer. read more

It's 5 guys. Consistently good burgers. This location tends to not be great at delivering on the web orders for me. I have had to wait a long time to get an order I did on line because the guy at the register did not communicate well with the Fry master. But all and all the food is a large step up from the normal "fast food" joint. The biggest piece of advice is if you are not eating at the location don't get the fries. If the cool down they are not great. Also if you order the large fries be ready as they are huge just stick with the small, plenty for 1-2 people. read more

Most of the time this place does a decent job at making the burgers and so on but every so often they run out of main ingredients like bacon and not inform the customer in regards to this despite it being ordered and paying extra for it. Refusing to do refunds for it too actually which is weird. The fries are awesome but they have changed the quantity of how many you get it seems. I have to order a large cajun just get a small or medium size amount versus the old school over flowing fries buckets they used to do. Speaking of the cajun seasoning... depending upon whose doing the fries, you'll get half the bottle of seasoning on your fries making them almost uneatable. read more

Nothing really much to add from other reviews. I got a hamburger (which comes with two patties) for $5. They have an assortment of toppings that they'll add to your burger and I got most of them (lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, ketchup, mustard, green peppers, pickles). Their small fries at $3 will feed two and were a little on the soft side but still good overall. The burger was a bigger draw to me than the fries and it was good. For a fast food place you may scoff at a $9 meal but it is on the higher end of fast food. Service wasn't fast for fast food but came out reasonably quick. five guys burgers and fries. and thats about it. Now, i've been hearing about this burger heaven for months. People rave about their burgers, crazy assortment of toppings, fries, and endless amounts of peanuts. I came here and got a relatively simple cheeseburger with sweet relish, ketchup, and mustard. the classic simple threesome. (har har har), and a side of fries. the burger was fantastic. Not dry by any means, but not messy to the point that you'd need a bib to enjoy yourself either. The fries, however, didnt really do much for me. first - they gave me enough fries for an family of 5... i dont need that much...jeeeeesus. and then, theyre not really anything special... I mean...theyre just fries... yeah, theyre good... but they're not amazing by any means and to be completely honest i'd rather just go down the street to mcdonalds and pick some up there! another downside was the prices... i spent almost 15 bucks here on fast food.... kinda redic, no? plus one star because they have mr. pibb... mmm i loves me some pibb. i'll check back again some time, but with somebody else so the overflowing cup o' fries doesnt require a doggy bag. read more

It is what it is, Burgers and Fries, but a little too pricey for what it be. As the reviews here state, Five Guys serve juicy burgers and tasty fries. The standard burgers come with 2 patties, which is what I like, and the small fries are more than enough for 2 people. As one other reviewer mentioned the music is far too loud, I don't know what effect they are going for with this but it is annoying. Overall I think this place is simply a novelty, I went because I had heard so much about it. Now that I have been I am not very likely to make many return visits. Two things that I think make going here a second rate experience; the price and the wait. When I pay $10 for a burger and fries (with no drink) I don't want to wait around at the counter and watch my burger and the fries cook, it aint that interesting. Although it is admirable that they want to cook my food fresh when I walk in the door, the truth is, I don't care if the grease is just cooked or cooked 5 minutes earlier. Visited the store around 2 pm recently. Both trash cans were overflowing and smelled bad. Counter was dirty and the store needed to be swept. Took about 15 minutes to get my burger. I've been around the country and have had pretty consistent quality when I get a burger at 5 guys. This location is dropping the ball. Tonight was the worst. They don't even know the menu. I ordered a cheeseburger with everything but mushrooms. Says right on the menu that "everything" is in black lettering. I get my burger, which is suspiciously cold ( bun was actually still frozen) and I bite into jalapeño and pepper in the burger. They added literally everything. No other location has ever messed this up. Add the freezing bun, burned, over salted fries and I cross this location off my list. Management needs to pay attention to quality control. read more

Guys - hands down this is one of the better burger places I have been to. The burgers are juicy and best of all made to order! You have a ton of toppings.... but enough blah blah blah - everyone writes similar reviews so let me give you my overall take. A burger here costs about $5.50, A reviewer was comparing these burgers to McDonalds... are you for real???? Do yourself a favor and rent the movie Food Inc and tell me if paying $1 more for Five Guys is worth it. Second - yeah you do have to wait for a few mins, but keep this is mind, the food here will always be fresh due to the high traffic. Again, if you're looking for a bargain go to Burger King and buy the 99 cent whoppers since they're basically cleaning out inventory of meat that has been sitting around in the freezer. Third - I have to say the fries are ok. With that being said you are eating a fresh unfrozen potato that came right out of a 50lb. bag. Maybe they don't soak the potatoes in water to extract some of the starch but overall they are pretty good. Fourth - who cares about food allergies? (replying to a post). The break down of yelp is to comment on the food and service "you" experienced - I didn't know people are that concerned about allergies, especially if they aren't even allergic to peanuts. ok, so we all get lazy and hit the trail to BK,Wendy's McDonald's but you must give props to these guys. I know I could very well hit stop and shop, whole foods, Roche brothers and grab a pound of hamburger, but there are times these guys hit the spot and its a good buy. Yes, they are popping up everywhere and we only visit there once and a while, but these burgers are so worth it.
