    A 12 dollar burger. Wow
    Kirt G.

I walked into this five guys on 130 and walked away with a very sad feeling for 5 guys. I order a junior cheeseburger medium fries and a shake . The shake was good although had to ask for whipped creme. But the fries were soggy and limp and the burger was terrible. Not sure if they are trying to save cost but the burgers seems smaller and they charged me for cheese and did not put it on. I had to take it back and request they add cheese. No Mustard No mayo no onions absolutely nothing. There burgers used to be things I raved about. Not anymore Not sure if all 5 guys locations are suffering but stay away from east windsor location. Wendy's would be a better bet if not the town diner.

    "Veggie sandwich"
    Vikki D.

Okay so listen, it's a fast food chain so I am totally taking that into consideration but GUYS, take the "veggie sandwich" off the menu. It's my fault for ordering a veggie anything from a burger place but I'm vegetarian and my family wanted Five Guys. Here's the thing, this is condiments in foil. Why is there relish?! Who's idea was that. Fire that guy. Do you like relish? I don't. And I don't like it most when it's added to my food for no reason. This is silly. You don't have to have vegetarian anything at a burger place. I'm just annoyed that it's $4 for iceberg lettuce, a tomato slice and some relish. The fries are over salted. Apparently the burger was okay. It looked pretty good to me.

Fricking expensive. Food isn't that great. Better burgers at Wendy's. Staff are okay.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

Our drinks (pear-licious martini and appletini) were good but filled so full that there was spillage on the bottom of the glass when they were served. I had the goat cheese poppers which were delicious, as was the apple salad that accompanied them. I also had a side - apples Brussels sprouts, butternut squash & celery root - a fabulous combination that I thoroughly enjoyed. The others in my party had a burger (too well done but ok) and rare seared tuna (yummy) with the same veggie side. For dessert, we tried 3: warm chocolate chip cookies (very good), baklava (ok), and espresso creme brûlée (good). We had espresso and coffee as well - which were both accompanied by biscotti which went home for a morning snack. Our reservation was 7p on a Thursday near Christmas. The place was packed with lots of larger parties and what appeared to be a holiday party. So it was LOUD and hard to hear each other speak. As the crowd thinned out, it got much better.

The omelette was a bit dry, and it wasn't really my favorite. The sausage was nice and snappy though. One of my friends got the eggs Benedict which she thought was alright. Desserts were shared around the table: carrot cake, cannolis and blueberry pie. The taste was a bit artificial and each dessert was very dry. Despite having a large party, the dessert was not finished. I like how there's plenty of parking in the back. I believe this diner has been open for quite some time. I'm not sure if it's bc when we came here it was a holiday weekend and it was super busy, but everything to me just was a bit subpar.

There is all your usual stuff that you'd expect to find at any diner. From your sandwiches, omelettes, crepes, typical deserts such as cake and pie, to just about anything else you'd expect to find on a menu for a diner. The service was overall fine but nothing super special but it still is a decent diner to go to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is better to go around dinner time because then they give you complimentary garlic knots which are delicious. And the televisions they have around the diner are also nice to watch too so you don't feel bored. The only major criticisms I have is that there are times when there are tables that are still very dirty rather its from dirty dishes or too much dust lying around the diner. Another criticism is that the deserts maybe dry from sitting in the fridge too long which is disappointing because they look delicious. The final criticism is that it can be noisy too inside when its always busy. But that is expected as that happens anywhere. In the end, its a solid diner to go to. But it's not the best diner out there as there are plenty other better options for food and to hang out.
