Yesssssss! I have NEVER had a disappointing meal at Five Guys, so I hope I'm not "jinxing" myself by writing this review. I go to this location in Dothan on average once a month (I try not to eat too many fast food burgers!) and it's always an enjoyable experience. I guess it's consistent because the one I used to go to frequently in Huntsville on Highway 72 also always had good food and good service as well. The guys cooking the food always do a good job of getting the orders right and preparing the food quickly. And the food is so good! I always get the little bacon cheeseburger, and an order of fries, and my husband gets the regular bacon cheeseburgers and an order of fries, and even though they give you a "lot" of fries in an order we never have any fries left between the two of us, LOL--the fries are really good. Plus, you can get your burger any way you like, and they offer a wide assortment of toppings, everything from jalapenos and mushrooms to mayo and A1 sauce. I'm a fan! read more

I've only been here once, and don't plan to go back. Generous serving of fries, but they weren't very good. Our burgers were good for fast food, but not great. Guess I'm spoiled to grilled burgers from our backyard. read more

Not really good for you at all, but you're not coming here for healthy food, are you? Outside of that, it's pretty awesome, service, selection, taste. I've rarely seen this place packed when I go, which is a great thing for myself, since I can't stand a large crowd when eating. The only complaint I would have is their choices of drinks is lacking. read more

If you go here just order one order of small fries. The small order should be enough for two grown men. Also stick with the single party burger. The double party makes it uncomfortably big and hard to eat especially when adding any addons. Now to rate the food. The burger was really really good and the fries were also very good. They have a coca cola remix machine so it has plenty of choices to drink from including sweet and unsweet tea. I'd highly recommend. read more

Stopped because it was close to Flowers Hospital. Had heard different ratings. It was awful....the World Famous Fries..YUK. They were so greasy and burned I only ate six of the things And the hamburger....mega greasy and the bacon was raw. The ice tea was stale from sitting all day (I was there about 3 PM) dumped it and got soda instead. Was truly disappointed in the food, the place was clean and the servers very nice. Rated one star due to a policy change, not due to food: I Usually stop in this location every couple of weeks, burgers are good, service is good and up until this visit they had a great Military discount: free drink with your order (normally costs 2.39, which is kinda high for a medium fountain drink anyway). However, was told they stopped offering ANY Military discount. I guess it was cutting into their bottom line (probably costs .25 cents to make a fountain drink but losing over 2.00 in profit)? I won't be going back to this location and will ensure all the Soldiers I serve with at the local base know about the change, maybe that will help their bottom line.... read more

Beef quality is very good, HOWEVER the grease is what did it in for me. I guess its because Im getting in my mid 30s now, that eating Five Guys is no longer going to go well with the belly. Them and Cheeburger Cheeburger are the same. The taste of the burger is excellent, that I wont deny. but the grease content of the burger is very high end so if your stomach is sensitive or your getting over a stomach bug, DO NOT EAT FIVE GUYS! Aside from that, if your stomach can handle the grease, then they will satisfy your taste buds in every way that McDonalds and BKing never could. Still expect to drop $15.00 for a burger, fries, and soft drink. read more

I'll just go ahead and say right off the bat that Five Guys Burgers and Fries is probably serving up the best burgers and fries in the Dothan area. The burger looks, feels, and tastes like a backyard barbecue homemade burger, which everybody knows is the best. I went with a classic setup: 2 patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo and mustard. The toppings where crisp and fresh, and the burger patties were dripping with juice and cooked perfectly. Had to get some fries too, of course, and I wasn't disappointed there either. They are real deal freshly hand-cut from fresh potatoes right there in the restaurant, and cooked to order to a perfect golden brown. I ordered a small, but their small is equivalent to the other places medium or maybe even large sizes. But as top quality as the food is, it is still a bit on the pricey side. There are no combo options, so everything is ordered a la carte, which adds up quickly. For my double cheese burger, small fry, and regular drink, it came to a little over $12. Ouch! But that's my one and only complaint. Five Guys Burgers and Fries is certainly worth a visit. read more
