I've ordered take out from here twice now. Their staff is super friendly and their burgers and shakes are delicious. I am not a fan of their fries. They are a soggy pile of grease, which is probably a good thing- I could use less fries in my life. I ordered my 3 year old son a plain hot dog and his exact words word "ewe, gross, bad hot dog." And then he threw it on the ground. This was super out of character for him (he is a lover of hot dogs) but when I picked it up I understood. If this is what you think a "great" burger is, your either a shill or have never had a good burger. Well done burgers (proudly and only served that way, i.e. grossly overcooked - why are you proud of that?), nasty processed cheese (I can get that at McD's), a variety of toppings (fresh, but not unique) and ok fries (and a ton of them). Free peanuts in the shell, if your the allergic type. They cook to order, which I appreciate, and their portions are HHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEE, but would you rather get a good burger and fries or just a really big one? It's clean. Music is super LOUD. Beverages are those 5,000 flavor carousel machines that kids try disgusting mixes and then pour out. Overall, it is way overhyped. Feel a little like a grumpy old grandma writing this, but I just can't get behind dropping more than $20 for two burgers, a shared regular fry and fountain sodas. We've been stopping at Hwy 83 for lunch on our way from Milwaukee to Madison and were excited to find Five Guys as another option, but I just don't see what makes this so much better than any other burger joint and its certainly not worth twice the price for what is essentially fast food. Despite the made-to-order on the grill-ness of the burgers, you don't get a good smoke/fire taste on the patty, which I find disappointing. The two-star rating says it all for me. "Meh." read more

Five Guys is so good! The burgers are cooked perfectly. And there are tons of topping options. It's also the only restaurant in which I'll order a hot dog. Like others have said, the split the dog length-wise and grill it. It's delicious! The fries are also outstanding. The small order of fries could feed a family. Normally I like Five Guys restaurants and eat there a couple times a month. Today I went to Five Guys in Delafield Wisconsin and ordered a bacon cheeseburger, what I always order at Five Guys (two bacon cheeseburgers, one order of fries and two drinks = 29.00) with my son. As I was eating the bacon double cheeseburger I realize the bacon was burnt to a crisp it was practically black. I brought the food to the counter and showed it to the cashier, he looked at it and said rudely "No that's not burnt it's just extra crispy." No, it was burnt. Not sure what the fuss (and high price) is all about! I had a burger loaded with all sorts of condiments. Although I was one of two customers in restaurant it took them 7-10 minutes to prepare order. I can live with that except there was nothing spectacular about the burger! I will give it another try but if I am still underwhelmed I am saving my dough for a cheaper burger joint! read more

I love Five Guys Burgers and Fries!!!!! Always fresh and never frozen, cooked when you order. There is a little dry erase board that says where they got that day's batch of potatoes for their fries that they cut fresh every day. Their burgers are great, but believe it or not, I actually like the hot dog even better. They split it down the middle length-wise and grill it up on both sides. Simple pricing is great to. You order your burger (or dog) and then you tell them everything you want on it, no cost for toppings. It is great. If you like fries, then you need to stop into a Five Guys. Hands down the best cheese burger I've ever had. Most times I go out and we eat and chat, this time it was more like "nobody speak I am enjoying this too much". I had the regular which was two patties, "cooked to perfection" and I have never said or wrote that before! I ordered mine with mustard, ketchup. relish and lettuce. I have always liked In N Out but this was way, way better. I ordered a side of fries the small was enough I ordered the regular which my uncle didn't help me out with and it's enough for two. It's not really fast food per se, I ordered they gave me a number and they call you when it's done. The place was packed when I was there with a line out the door, it's that good.
