This is haves down the BEST Five Guys location I've ever been to. It's only eat at this one now, it's worth the drive. The service is AMAZING! Derek, the manager is wonderful! He's always helpful, kind, and goes above and beyond to make your visit here a good one. (He even remembers his customers names!) It would make sense that the staff here is also great. They follow his lead. The store is always clean and tidy, and the food is literally the best around. They even grill mushrooms for my burger, unlike all the others that just put them o n straight out of the container. The food is prepared with care and it shows. Always hot and fresh. This is about the 2nd time we have ate at this restaurant. This was much better than the 1st time! We were passing through on our way to Texas. Service was good. He was attentive in telling us what toppings came on the burgers with so many choices and my pickiness he made sure it was done right the first time. Back line appeared to be running well and organized. Noticeable team work! I, personally, was impressed, I'm guessing was the manager. He was in there working like everyone else. Wiping tables off and seemed to be joking with an employee about what all he was doing, what needed to be done. In other words A HINT to get to working. Lunch rush over. Then he had to be more vocal. We get more managers that want to run a tight ship in their restaurant and teach these younguns about real work ethics...maybe the workforce would improve. Great job to all!! We're not sure if this location is under new management or what, but the service is terrible lately. You place your order online, they give you a time that the order is to be ready: you arrive at that time only to discover they haven't even started the order. I absolutely love Five Guys! However, the owner SUCKS!!! Our food was wrong when we got home so we called and spoke with the manager Stephanie. We were told whenever we come back we would be compensated. Didn't ask for anything free only the money we spent. The owner never apologized when I came back the following Monday. He studied the receipt like I was lying. I informed him I would be getting lunch he could apply credit to order. He said "No when you come back I will give you a large fry for free. I explain to him it's not for FREE because I paid for it. He wanted to go back and forth. I said let's start over told him my name and asked for his he said, "you don't need to know my name". My response was you must be the owner, he said yes. The look on his face was an unpleasant look. He looked like he didn't want me there and like I was beneath him. I told him I wanted to support this restaurant because I love Five Guys, he didn't care and had a look of hate on his face (over a large fry). Good stuff but I need you guys to make a better grilled cheese or a regular hotdog on the menu. My son is not a burger fan and your hotdog is not typical wiener more if a sausage type. I'm embarrassed that I don't have a photo to share! The restaurant is always bright and cheery, the kitchen reminds me of that old SNL skit ("Hamburger, hamburger, hamburger, Pepsi"). The burgers here are so good that property values should skyrocket - I wish I could camp out across the street and count down the minutes from lunch to dinner so I could enjoy them twice daily. I thought I knew how to make a good burger but after trying Five Guys - their amazing burgers put mine to shame - almost like eating garbage comparatively speaking. Restaurant is clean, employees are delightful and seem happy to be working, condiments are good and clean, the burger can be enjoyed within 2 minutes of coming off the grill. They look you in the eye and truly thank you for your business. Bathrooms are even clean and they have paper towels to dry your hands and not those ridiculous air blowers. Also noteworthy - the fries - just pure joy - you might be tempted to exclaim "Hallelujah!" The meat is high quality and fresh - always bright red when they toss on grill. Ingredients are high quality too. There is probably hundreds of combinations of a burger considering all the options but somehow - after eating here at least 30 times, they have always made my burger precisely as requested. Finally a Five Guys location near me. The problem is now that there is one close by, it has lost some of its allure. Don't get me wrong, they still put out a damn fine burger, but it isn't the holy grail of all hamburgers. It is the best six buck burger I have had. This location is brand new. I was lucky to go right at opening one day so I could avoid the inevitable rush that all locations experience. Burgers only come cooked medium well. Even though I prefer medium, the burgers come juicy and very flavorful. There are an enormous amount of free toppings including grilled onions and jalapenos. There are an enormous amount of people working at this location. All were friendly and efficient. While waiting for our order we ate some complimentary peanuts. There was a warning sign that prohibited peanuts from leaving the restaurant. The warning said it was due to potential peanut allergies in the neighborhood, but I found this odd due to the outdoor tables. The fries were also very good. There was a sign on the wall that listed the farm where the potatoes came from. Lined up on the sides of the restaurants were 50lb. bags of potatoes. They apparently take their fries very seriously. The fries came in regular or Cajun varieties. We tried both. The regular were my favorite. One tip when ordering fries: only order the regular size. When they make the regular size the bag it comes in is filled with more fries than are in the regular cup. It is enough for two people. I would definitely recommend Five Guys if your in the mood for a quick, cheap burger. If you're looking for a more homemade type burger, you should probably go elsewhere. read more

As a vegetarian going with a family of meat eaters the only alternative is a cheese sandwich so also bring gluten free I'm left with lettuce onions mushrooms and cheese for the full price of a burger. OK, I reserve five stars for really good food and really good service when it comes to a restaurant. Five Guys is worthy of these stars. Great burgers, great fries, and great service. For the virgin, here's what you need to know: A regular burger is two patties, a little burger is one patty. A large order of fries is enough for three to four people. My favorite burger is the regular bacon cheeseburger, all the way minus the mustard. Getcha one of these and an order of fries and you'll leave with a full stomach. I love the menu. Simple is better. Burgers, fries, and dogs. You want something other than that? Go to McDonald's. Chomp on some free peanuts while waiting for your order to be completed. I believe my quest for the best burger on the northshore has come to an end. Sorry Times Grill, you have good burgers, just not better than Five Guys. Proof that a fast food chain can be done really well! They serve 100% fresh beef with no preservatives and no trans fats. Does a semi chubby fella like me really care about that? not really but it sounds really good when you are scarfing down 1200 calories in 1 sitting. I ordered a cheesebuger. A cheeseburger here really means a double cheeseburger as there are 2 patties. You want 1 patty? Too damn bad go to Burger King if you want it your way. They have all sorts of condiments including grilled onions and grilled mushrooms. That's a star all by it's lonesome. The french fries are fresh cut. How do you know? Well for 1 they have the 100 pound sacks of potatoes right there in the dining room. There is even a dry erase board telling you the type and region they are from. I had the Liberty Gold potatoes from Blackfoot, Idaho for those keeping score. Since when did french fries become like wines? Does it really matter what dirt the potato grew in? It just may, cuz they were really good. All the fries are cooked in peanut oil and there's even free peanuts to serve yourself. So don't bring one of those peeps that have a nut allergy. Once Five Guys went in my mouth, I knew I was in love! Five Guys is great because you can truly have it your way in a fast food restaurant. Want bell peppers on your burger!? Throw em on there. At 6'2" and 165 lbs, you would think I don't eat a ton, but I am like a vacuum when I eat. I eat fast so the sensation of being "full" doesn't set in so I can finish. This didn't happen here. It went from "dieing of hunger" to "I think I need to go lay down" in a matter of 10 minutes. The only negatives is the atmosphere, price, and not being that "fast" for fast food. The atmosphere seemed too cramped in there and it was loud. A little annoying, but not a deal breaker. For my 1 burger, fries, and a drink, it was $10+. Was it worth it, hell yea. Still a bit pricey for a fast food joint. The order took around 10 minutes to get out... This is a negative, but no way to get around it because they make the burger fresh. Glad we finally got one of these around here. The best part about five guys is the simplicity; no #3 combos, just four options for burgers, and all toppings are free. They give you a boatload of fries, a "small" order is enough for two people, forget about getting a large unless you plan on snacking on them all day. Two options for fries: regular, which are lightly seasoned, and Cajun. It's loud. The employees are friendly, and energetic. Free peanuts are around the waiting line, balanced on sacks of potatoes. As far as price, its slightly more than most fast food places. 2 cheeseburgers, large Cajun fries, and 2 large drinks are about 18-19 dollars. But since I rarely eat out it's worth the few extra dollars. Bottom line, not the best burger, but definitely one of the best fast food chains on my list. read more
