I figured the order would be easy since placed ahead of time. Wrong. You have to have wait "3 minutes" ( but actually 6-7). Once fries are ready, we must reload the basket when there are ZERO other customers in the restaurant instead of packaging the fries so I can leave. Then, they looked around to see who was waiting for an order although I was the only one there and already checked in to let them know I was there for the order. I get the food is desired hot, but don't screw around and give your customers the food when it's quoted not at your leisure. read more

They had cold fries left and the cook came up to me to let me know it would be a little bit of a wait for fresh fries. I appreciated the gesture. Food is always good but the customer service (in my experience) is even better. FYI: they don't carry malted milk anymore so ask before you add it to your order. Good food, ok service, TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PRICES First time hitting up this Five Guys location but I have been getting burgers at locations all over the country (mostly So Cal). Food tastes about the same as every other location as it should. The food is always good at any Five Guys. Service was not great. Guys. Behind the register yelling at every one including customers. I would say it borders on slightly rude which is never what you want from anyone let along customer service. Lastly the cost was outrageous. I have never paid over $5 and change for a burger from most Five Guys but this place is charging you over $9 for the same burger. Doesn't even makes sense. Over priced fast food. You might as well go sit down at any of the other spots on the same road and pay the same amount for a burger. I lived in California and you can say what you want, but I never came close to paying $9 for a burger from Five Guys. IT'S A COMPLETE RIPOFF. Definitely not worth the money at that point. This was one of the better Five Guys experiences I've had, the burger was fantastic, I just wish the cheese was melted and not cold on the patty. The fresh cut fries from Washington were so good that I couldn't stop eating them. The manager, Winter, was the most passionate manager I've ever encountered in casual fast food, he was funny and checked on everyone in the restaurant to make sure they were taken care of. Love this place. Now I will admit with everyone else, the burgers are a bit high in price. The one thing I didn't like as a topping is the jalapeño peppers from here. They taste a bit strange to me. I've heard good things about Five Guys for years now, so I finally decided to go after a coworker had it and it smelled delicious. I went and got one of the smaller burgers, a hot dog & small fry. Service was quick & friendly. There were only 2 other guys in there at 1:45p, which I thought was a little strange for lunch time. The hot dog was good, nothing fancy, but it's a solid dog. I got a bacon cheeseburger w/ sauteed onions, mushrooms & A-1. Maybe my expectations were too high, but it was also just ok. The fries were fantastic though, and a small order is plenty!! There's no shortage of places to get a good burger in Columbus, and I don't think Five Guys would crack the top 20. I just don't see myself going back if there are other options available. read more

This is THE place to go if you like fries. It's one of those places that specialize in one thing and do it really well. Their fries are some of the best around. It's the kind that actually tastes like potatoes. The kind they call fresh cut (though I'm sure it wasn't just cut when you ordered it). The fries are delicious and when you order some, they bury you under a pile of them. They literally hand you a paper bag half full of them. The burgers are big, messy, and there's a ton of choices for toppings. It's definitely a good place to go if you like the kind of burger that you can't eat with your hands. But there's really nothing special about the burgers. It's just like what I would make at home. No flame broiled taste, no special beef, no anything to set it apart from every other hamburger out there. And personally I like to eat my hamburger with my hands. If I have to eat it in pieces or with a fork and knife, that's not a hamburger, that's a pile of ground beef and a bunch of other stuff. When it's like that you can't taste everything together. It ends up not a hamburger with this topping and that topping, it's a bite of this topping, then a bite of that topping, then a bite of just beef. It kind of defeats the purpose of putting toppings on your hamburger. The decor here is kind of like a ghetto mall food court: tiles on every wall and floor surface, and cheap tables and chairs you can barely fit your fat ass into. What is kind of cool about it is that you get a tray of peanuts in the shell when you go in. It gives you something to do while you wait for your food. It's pointless and I think just a gimmick to emphasize that they use the non-artery clogging peanut oil (which I think is the law now anyway). But it's at least something different. This place is a little bit pricey but you get a huge amount of food. It's not a place I would frequent but definitely my go-to place when I want some fries and a few extra pounds of fat hanging over my belt. read more

I have enjoyed five guys ever since they came to Columbus! You will get a lot of food for your dollar and it's always fresh. Yes it's greasy and unhealthy, but with moderation who cares?! I don't go there all that often anymore but what I can say is be prepared because once you bite into their burgers you won't want to stop! Can I brag on the staff? I walked in and was pleasantly greater by Josie. Unbeknownst to her, I'm having the worst evening ever and this gem says "hi" in the most chipper five guys staff voice but it was genuine. She took my order and it was right. I wasn't rushed or hurried along. I got to read the menu and really choose what I wanted. Then she says "what else for you beautiful!"And boom let their be water works. Be for walking in I was in my feelings about otherness and her kindness and genuine pleasantness was so unsettling and necessary for me in this moment. I went based on a recommendation after seeing the place for years. I was less than impressed. First problem is for a fast food counter type restaurant it is grossly overpriced. The bacon cheeseburger I ordered was $8 by itself,it was a decent burger but an $8 stand alone burger it was not. I feel like if I had got a small fry and the burger for $8 It would have been more on point with price. Second my wife and I ordered two burgers one regular fry that we split and two drinks and our total was over $25 for the entire order that is way out of line with the type of food I received. The fries are fresh cut thick fries and for a regular it is 3.50 they aren't stingy with them but that's probably because half of them aren't worth eating. Fries are supposed to be crispy and golden brown,their version is dark brown to burnt and it tastes like oil soaked potato mush. A fountain drink was 2.50 and for a place you have to pour it yourself and clear your own table and the size of the cup that is ridiculous. Over all it had good potential but it missed the mark on a lot of fronts. I don't believe I will go back but if you're the type that likes greasy spoon burgers and fries and doesn't mind overpaying for them you might give it a shot. read more

Service was very good, but I can't see the hype in this place at all. I make better more gormet burgers at home and when you go to a place called five guys burgers and fries your expecting more then one cheese option, different bun options something, lol. I mean seriously the meat has no flavor, the bun is a standard cheapo bun you buy from the grocery store, and it cost well over 5 bucks for this less then average burger. I can say the fries are amazing and I love that they have vinigar, but for two people to walk in n get two single patty burgers, a frie, and 1 drink for a whopping 18 bucks!!!! We went to Five Guys on a Saturday night when Thurman's had a 50 minute wait just on carry out.. There was a large family who ordered in front of us, which was fine, but apparently the cashier wasn't too happy. He was very short, borderline rude, but everyone has bad days I guess! While waiting on our order, the cashier started cleaning tables but decided to drag each metal chair he moved across the floor. Couldn't get out of their fast enough - got home and the order was wrong. Little disappointed obviously, the burgers are a step above fast food but the service left quite a bit to be desired (another customer returned his burger while we were waiting, too) - Johnnies down the road blows this burger joint out of the water & the 50-minute wait at Thurman's isn't looking too bad now. read more
