This 5 Guys is so nice! Clean bathrooms and dining room, their service is friendly! Our burgers were amazing as usual and we split a medium fry because I can't eat it all myself. Lol I love that they have malt vinegar for the fries. There was a huge party of 11 behind us, and by the time I went to bathroom to wash my hands they were seated and food called minutes later!! I was so impressed that they had all 11 orders hot and fresh at the same time!!! read more

Anytime I'm craving a burger and I don't necessarily want like a drive through type of burger - I'll come to five guys because it's the closest thing to in and out (I'm from SoCal). Although the price is pretty steep compared to a Burger King or McDonald's - their burgers are superior and I don't mind paying at that price once in awhile. I definitely would say that this location is pretty okay - they have a lot of workers even though I never really see a lot of people there. The service is okay, it's not great, but it's not bad. Overall a good place just to pick up a good burger. read more

Don't believe the 'ready in 5 to 10 minutes' while placing an online order. It's more like 25 minutes. People ordering in person were getting their food sooner than the online orders. Friendly atmosphere with pretty loud music fitting for a burger shack. Coke 100 machine offers any flavor sugar water you can dream of. I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, but they have BLTs and hot dogs too. They're pretty famous for their milkshakes, but that's not my cup of tea. Clean floors and a lot of decor to keep your mind entertained while they fresh grill your burger. All in all at great experience! Good for families. read more

This location was very dirty which seems very unusual for five guys. Usually their locations are very clean and tidy but this one was not. Almost all the tables had food underneath them and the table tops were dirty on most of the tables. Some of the tables didn't even have chairs around them. Also the employees seemed pretty lethargic. The younger gentleman who is in charge of the french fries and bagging food had a very dirty apron on and was wearing gloves that looked like he had and change them in 24 hours. Kind it was gross and he looked gross just not something you want to see when you're trying to get food. I will say hamburgers are very good but cleanliness seems to be an issue here at this location. read more

I am a big fan of five guys. I try to visit one every time I travel for work. I have been to this one quite a few times and have always had a good visit. Food is quick and fresh. Today I stopped in on my way thru going home. I walked in and the associate behind the counter seen me and rolled his eyes and acted like it was killing Jim to take my order. He just asked " What do you want". Seemed like a customer should get treated a little better. He took my order went behind to the prep area and got on his phone. I watched another customer come in and he had the same response and attitude. Makes me not want to visit this location again. read more

So the Five Guys are much improved here in this area compared to the ones we experienced in New England. I do feel that the quality/consistency is much better than some places we visited. Only if the product overall would be better, to give it 4 stars. Since we regularly have to wait at least 5 minutes on order ahead orders, but then at least the stuff hasn't been sitting there done for 5 minutes. I would have to recommend giving the cajun fries a try, if you're up for it, since they don't do too much to make it over-powered, but enough to help the fries. Whenever we have ordered here, which we do ahead online, we have not noticed many customers either waiting or eating in, which is not the best indicator. read more

I have no problem with Five Guys. If the food was less intense, I'd go more often, but then it wouldn't be Five Guys. You get a greasy burger with 15 different toppings on it, and it's a delicious mess. You order fries and they basically fry up a 5 lb. bag of potatoes for you. That's what goes on here. From the time you step in until the time you eat is typically about 10 minutes, so the speed is right in-between fast food and a casual sit-down chain place. You can find a better burger, but you'll pay more and wait longer. You can find a cheaper burger, but it won't be as tasty. It's worth noting that this location is clean and the people are friendly. I've never once waited for a burger without seeing someone there pick up a broom and hit the floor. read more

First time at the Eastgate 5 Guys. I have been to two other locations multiple times. Blue Ash and the location near Northern Kentucky University. I ordered and the cashier could not care less. I stated I was dining in. I was given a number to listen for. This is different than the other 5 Guys. Not sure if that is the norm now. Nice drink station. When my order was ready it was in a bag. Hmm. Is this the norm now too? Nothing was what I was used to in this setting. I can't say anything bad about the actual food. I did receive a double instead of a single. Not sure what word she misunderstood when I said I wanted a cheeseburger. But, the food was good. Tons of fries. Enough for two people. I just did not care for the atmosphere. Or the to go bags. The employees here are super polite. If it's not busy food can be out in 5-6 minutes. I usually order a grilled cheese with all the fixins but once they accidentally put the meat patty on there- I showed an employee and the manager apologized & refunded my money and had a fresh grilled cheese ready in a few minutes as a replacement. If you're unhappy with something here- tell an employee & they will make it right. read more

If you get the burger with EveryThing minus the items you don't like, it's like having a fun salad you can hold in your hands, you can even get it paleo style with lettuce wrap instead of a bun, these guys specialize at stacking that tall mound of stuff. read more

As of this writing, Five Guys has a 2.5 star rating, which I think is unfair. C'mon, guys! This place is way better than the dirty Arby's down the street! I think the burgers are quality-- not the best, but tasty. And I appreciate that when I ask for mushrooms, I get a big handful of mushrooms on my burger. The "small" burger is plenty large enough for me-- and probably for you, too. Only get fries if you have someone to share them with or don't mind throwing food away. For me, the self-serve Coke Freestyle machines give the extra half-star. It may seem silly, but it's so fun to be a mad scientist soda mixer. read more

Visited here today to get a bunless burger. They are VERY good with gluten allergies. They asked if it was an allergy, I said yes, and they immediately changed their gloves and had one person prepare my burger start to finish. I appreciate that! I just really want this place to be so much better than it is. I had been to a Cleveland location a couple times before they came to Cincinnati, and was very excited when they started to move into the area. I have been to this location a couple times and am just always left wanting more! The fries are ALWAYS stellar, I will say that. And they do have a good burger, it just isn't anything special or as good as I remember it being in Cleveland. I do like that they do have the fancy Coke machine where you can fully customize your drink. All in all, it's a good burger, just won't knock your socks off. read more

Five Guys is the newest eatery to open in the Eastgate area. Taking up residency in the old Cici's Pizza, this particular location has been open for about three months now. I had driven by it a few times and had taken note, but it wasn't until recently that I had the opportunity to stop in. Now I had never heard of this place and wasn't aware that it was a national chain. All I knew is that the sign on the store said "Burgers and Fries" which gave me a pretty good idea as to what the main feature was going to be. Come to find out they also do hot dogs as well. Since I was completely unfamiliar with this restaurant and as such had no idea what to expect, I had absolutely no expectations (good or bad) going in. Walking in the first thing I noticed was lots of red and lots of white. From the lampshades to the wall tiles, from the employee uniforms to the giant bags of potatoes piled up in the front of the store, from the menu on the wall to the Coke machine at the drink stations, it is all red, all white, all the time. The tables are mostly those small ones that can seat up to six people all around, with a smattering of high tops for variety. All of the tables and chairs are made of that light-colored, sturdy, wood that you normally see being used in high school wood shop classes across the nation. A number of other first impressions; the big box of free peanuts is pretty cool. The uber-loud Top 40 music that's blaring inside, not so cool. Not that it's bad music, it's just a constant loud that gets irritating after awhile. While waiting in line I glanced around and noticed a few things. There was a small chalkboard that named where the potatoes that were being used for the fries came from. I thought that was kind of neat. I also noticed that all the ingredients being used were fresh. That is always encouraging, especially given that we're talking about a fast-food joint here. After placing my order I waited about five or six minutes. That gave me plenty of time to check out the dining area, which was a little dirtier than I would have wanted to see. Not sure how often they take a broom to the place but it was in dire need of one right then. Also went and got my soda at the digital Coke machine. Had never seen that before. And I am not going to lie, it took my ten-year-old daughter to show me how to work it right. That's just shameful. For me, not Five Guys. There are copied articles and reviews all over the walls in the dining room (and the bathroom as well) bragging on the various Five Guys across the nation. Speaking of the John, the urinal in the men's bathroom was really low to the ground, so unless you don't mind a little bit of splash-ege on your shoe, go with the toilet bowl. They called my order number and I went up and got my food. I went with the Bacon Cheeseburger with all the toppings, a large drink and regular fries. Total cost was $13.07. Sounds a bit steep, but again, all ingredients are fresh. If you want the same order for less than five bucks, go over to McDonald's. But don't gripe about the quality. I took my brown paper bag with my fries and burger, looked in and noticed that the fries were everywhere . I had to shake the bag a couple of times to find the carton for the fries. Then when I reached in and grabbed my burger I had to navigate past the fries and grabbing hold I pulled my hand out, a hand clenching my burger, a hand all goopy with mustard, mayo, and ketchup. So my sandwich wasn't well wrapped and my hand got all messy because of it. A little bothersome, but not a catastrophe. As for the quality of the food, I'll start with the fries. The fries were amazing. Whatever they're using to season them, don't stop. They were fantastic. They provided both ketchup and vinegar to dip them in, and they both taste great, but honestly the fries by themselves do the trick. I also love how the fires didn't really have that greasy feel/taste to them. That might have something to do with the fact that they don't use any trans-fat to cook their food. That has to be a plus. The burger itself isn't bad. And yes I am aware of the fact that that is not a ringing endorsement. But honestly, for the amount I paid, and the fact that the food was fresh I expected a little more. I also didn't like that the burger patty was far bigger than the bun so for the most part I was holding meat in my hand and not bread. Additionally while I love that all the extra toppings are free, and fresh, and tasty, the extras are what made this burger such a disappointment. Extra toppings should enhance a burger's taste, not overpower it. Such was the case here. overall, it was a pretty average burger at best. I was hoping for more than I ended up with. The burgers are pretty good quality and the service is fairly quick. I wish there was a way to make the burgers a bit less sloppy. I do enjoy that their are a number of different topping choices at no extra cost. Also, you would think that ordering online before pick up would ensure a shorter wait time, but unfortunately that has not been the case. I love these burgers and I crave them. I'm not a burger person. For some reason, l love 5 Guys burgers. Staff is always friendly. My one complaint is how loud they blare the music. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not plan on having conversation. Come here with your obligatory lunch or dinner guest that you have no interest in speaking with. You can use all non-verbal methods of communication and just nod your heads to indicate you are in agreement as to the pure deliciousness of the burgers. read more

I m mystified why people like Five Guys. My suspicion is that Americans prefer quantity over quality. There were certainly no catwalk sized patrons when I went there to pick up an order for my wife and son. Burgers range in size from big to huge. The gimmick on the fries is to pour in more after the cup of fries has been added to the bag. (Note: place some towels under the on the seat so your next passenger does not get covered in grease when you put the grease soaked bag on the seat.) Fries are limp and greasy. Great place if you are already jumbo sized... not so good if taste is a priority. read more

For a restaurant that sells only burgers, fries, hot dogs and a couple of other sandwiches (and that's why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5), this place is great. First thing, the place is clean and the employees are friendly, fast and attentive. That already gives this restaurant a big advantage over most of the other restaurants in the area. Second, they make the best burger in the area. Much better than the local Burger King and Sonic, which often make mistakes and/or don't provide hot food, way better than the local Wendy's which not only makes mistakes and serves cold food but is dirty and has rude employees as well. McDonald's ... the whole chain has been a lost cause for over 30 years now. I used to have to go to Butterbee's over on Beechmont Avenue, Roney's on rte 32 (now closed), or Main Street Cafe in Newton if I didn't want to go too far for a good burger ... the burgers at Five Guys are much better. All ingredients - patty, buns, vegetables - are fresh. Patty is served hot and is a good-sized burger. Buns actually have flavor (pay attention, you other fast food restaurants). The vegetable toppings don't taste like they've been soaked in chemicals ... they actually taste like real vegetables. I'd prefer sliced to diced onions, but that's not a big deal. Also, the burgers are pricier than those of other stores, but they're definitely worth it. read more
