We finally made it to 859 Taproom, and it's easy to see why it was packed! Thankfully, they offer…read morecall-ahead seating, so we called on our way over and were seated almost immediately when we walked in. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want from a neighborhood taproom: casual, lively, and family-friendly. The bar is huge, with an impressive selection of draft beers (especially if you're an IPA fan), and they also have bourbon bottles available for purchase. We ordered burgers, and they were all really good. One bun seemed a little stale, but it didn't take away from the overall meal. The cheese curds were a standout: piping hot, crispy, and definitely worth ordering. The beef nachos, on the other hand, were a bit disappointing. They arrived cold and just didn't have the same wow factor as the rest of the food. My sweet potato fries were a little soggy, but I took the leftovers home and popped them in the air fryer the next day, and they turned out fantastic. Overall, I'd definitely go back. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with great burgers, a huge beer selection, and a menu that has something for just about everyone in the family, dog and kid friendly, 859 Taproom is a solid choice.

You've got everything from burgers and loaded fries to sushi rolls, which sounds like an odd combo but somehow works perfectly. The vibe is casual and upbeat, with TVs around for games and a lively crowd most nights. It's the kind of place where you can go with kids, meet friends for drinks, or just grab a quick dinner without feeling rushed. Food-wise, the burgers are consistently good juicy, flavorful, and actually cooked right. The sushi is surprisingly fresh for a non-traditional sushi spot, I love the surf and turf roll, me and my husband get it everytime, and it's a fun option if you want to mix things up. The appetizers are definitely worth it too, especially if you're sharing.

We sat outside last night and there is litter all over the place. (See photos). We had to try 4 different tables to sit somewhere without trash and food on the ground at our feet. And the outside tables were sticky. Once we saw someone wiping down tables. Not often enough in my opinion. And food is not the best. Extremely salty and greasy. The Caesar salad was good but the patty melt lacked the flavor punch I expected. I only ate half of it. My husband said the same thing about his morning glory burger. Happy hour specials are decent but probably not good enough for us to come back for our regular Thursday happy hour meet up.

It is located in a Kroger strip mall area but is slightly higher class than what one might think when they hear that. I wanted to make sure I got some veggies in me before a week+ of vacation eating, so I got a side salad, which was pretty ample for a side! I also got the mushroom ricotta dip appetizer as a "meal" and it was pretty delicious! Cheese, mushrooms and carbs...you can't go wrong with that in my opinion! While traveling in northern Kentucky, he stumbled upon one of these places, The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Farmstand offers comfort food with a farm-to-table focus served in a cozy space with a bar and attached market. We started with the Goetta Hanky Panky Dip. This was made with cheesy goetta, bagel chips, pumpernickel bread, and light rye served in a cast iron skillet. The dip had a good sausage flavor with salt and some light spice while being cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The bagel chips were very crispy but were not served warm. The pumpernickel and rye were dry. Each complimented the dip, adding texture to the bite. My wife had the Reuben Sandwich. This sandwich came with sliced corned beef, homemade Thousand Island, pickled pig sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on light rye with bacon ranch pasta salad. The pasta salad was cooked spot on while also being creamy. The bacon added crunch and saltiness to the salad. The rye had a great toast, and the Thousand Island was tangy and creamy. The pastrami was dry but had a good salty flavor. The sauerkraut was crunchy and had a good sour flavor cutting through the salty meat and the sweet dressing. The cheese was gooey and nutty and added flavor to each bite. I sampled the French dip sandwich and Mulligatawny soup. This was prepared with a sliced top round with provolone on a French roll. The soup was prepared with rice, chicken, carrots, onions, celery, lentils and spices. The chicken was very tender, the rice was cooked well, and the vegetables added texture to the rice. The soup was flavorful, had a wonderful aroma, and had a good salt content. The top round was thin and offered good flavor and chew. The roll was fresh and had a good chew paired with the ooey and gooey cheese with an excellent buttery flavor. The au jus had good flavor but was slightly salty, which overpowered it. Farmstand offers grilled cheeses, hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, soups and main entrees. They also serve beer and have a full bar. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. The Fat Man says that The Farmstand Market & Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.
