Haven't been here since this location opened. It is still a great place to go to get a good burger that isn't loaded with grease and lines of people. There seemed to be some sort of mix up in the orders while I was waiting for my food to come out. Colin behind the counter was doing a great job of keeping things moving and getting orders out while being polite to all the guests. Way to go! read more

Besides the crazy amount of over priced French fries that they give you. There really isn't much here, yes they offer peanuts as you wait in line / after you order but that's nothing to go crazy about. The burgers are over priced even with the amount of free toppings that you can get. The burger itself needs to be seasoned more , people need to understand that just because you have different ingredients that may be salty or sweet doesn't mean that you don't need to season your protein. Picked up the other day, got home, discovered they they forgot to give us our milkshake. Called and they asked for my receipt # even though I'd ordered online and they could've looked up my name. Called back with receipt and the phone was busy for TWO HOURS. Called back the next morning, busy for another hour until I gave up. Called corporate complaint line which is clearly in some foreign country and they said they'd pass on to corporate. Never heard back. Called again, they said they'd refer it to corporate. Pros: burger is huge and delicious, fries are good Cons: no combo options. Everything is a la carte. If you want a combo you have to order the approx. $7 burger, $4 fries, & $2.50 drink separately, grand total of $13.50 + tax for one combo?! Also they don't give trays even if you're dining in, you have to rip open your bag and use it as a tray or place setting. I don't know if this is exactly a pro or a con, maybe both, but in my experience the burger was so big I couldn't eat it like a normal burger, everything was falling out and making a huge mess; I had to use a knife and fork to cut it up and eat it. read more

At first glance the menu is confusing, when it says little butter i didn't know if its a type of burger or what, they could've just write burger and underneath it write mall or large. anyway got the bacon cheeseburger and cajun fries, half way i realized i my tongue is covered in some type of oily/wax film, couldn't finish it. on top of all that it cost $15 bucks. The food and service were both wonderful. The burger was large and very tasty and the fries were extremely tasty. The service was also very good. I would have no problem going there again... maybe. For the cons, there were two. The first, I was there about 10 minutes after opening so the only a few people were seated already. When I went to find a table, three of the tables had "stuff" on them, from peanut shells to unidentified matter. Since there was no time to be in the restaurant before me that means the tables hadn't been cleaned the night before. That's a big no-no in my book. The other is a minor thing that the music is loud. The place is nice and clean. I tried the cheeseburger it was just ok, the fries was same as everywhere else. I would give it more stars if it wasn't for the price. The food is simply not worth the price in my opinion. I don't agree with people who gave it 1 star for dumb reasons but if you are looking for a good burger for much lower price In-N-Out is much better in my opinion. You can also try Hook burger which again in my opinion is much better. I understand they claim their meat is good quality and they cook with peanut oil so they need to charge more but the taste just wasn't good enough for me to go back. Meh...despite all the rave reviews posted in their signage, In and Out and The Habit are way better at a lower price point. 5 Guys fries really are spectacular, real, fresh potatoes cut up and not at all greasy. But my cheeseburger had a big doughy bun. The Habit toasts its buns, which give both smell and mouth feel. 5 Guys meat was fried on a grill. Pretty good meat, but even lower quality beef tastes better on a char broiler. Cheese was thin and pale yellow and did nothing on the unctuous meter. It took quite a while for the food to arrive and it was rather pricey compared to our CA chains, In and Out and The Habit. We recently had 5 guys for a company lunch and it was awesome! Ron, the GM, at the Burbank location was such a pleasure to work with. He accommodated our order (for 130 people) in a day's notice and made sure everything was packaged and ready to go, including separately packaged toppings and condiments. Growing up on east coast, I was always a fan of Five Guys. And when I saw them popping up on the west coast, I almost cried with joy. Then they opened up one in my neighborhood?!???! It's so beautiful..... I just can't....Came in on the day they opened, thinking maybe not to expect too much, like they might need to work out kinks, but I was wrong. Burger was juicy and delicious and on point. I like me a burger from other places like in-n-out on occasion maybe if I feel like a clean & dainty tasty burger. Or if I want a super fancy burger I may go to Umami. But if I want a REAL MANLY MAN'S burger, with the grease it's supposed to have coming through that classic brown paper bag, with each bite making me feel so guilty, but makin my tastebuds cry with joy, grabbing a handful of those delicious roasted peanuts in shell, I go to Five Guys! Can't go wrong with this place. Getting to choose exactly what toppings and dressing you want on your burger is the right way to go. The portions are also very favorable as the burger and fries really fill you up. The idea of the free peanuts while you wait is another thing that makes this place so successful.
