The Bacon was cooked crispy they use apple-wood smoked it's has a great taste! Fresh lettuce & tomatoes sesame seed bun toasted! It was delicious a must try if you haven't! Fries crispy season perfectly and cooked in peanut oil! I ordered a small but they dump so many in the bag you will be full after you get your moneys worth! The All-beef hot dog, split and grilled lengthwise for a caramelized exterior and American cheese got grilled onions pickles and mustard on the dog! Paying nearly $10 for a fast food style burger without cheese (and no included side of fries) feels like a bit of a crime, even these days. Despite Five Guys being ridiculously over-priced, this location was still absolutely packed when I visited. It really benefits from being next to Northeastern campus and that's about it. After waiting in line for a few minutes, I placed my order and waited about 10 minutes before it was ready for me at the counter. Everything is made fresh to order here which I appreciate, and the staff seem to have a good process down with prepping the food. Still, the quality of the food doesn't live up to expectations, especially compared to other similar places. The toppings are mediocre at best (I really cannot stand their pickles for some reason) and the beef patty isn't very filling, especially if you order a "little" burger. Five Guys in general tastes like a burger I could make at home and the fries are usually soggy - however, they give a loott. They fill the cup and then add multiple scoops into the bag (1 large fries came with 2.5 cups worth)!! The food isn't the greatest, but it does hit the spot if you're craving it. I was at a concert at Jordan Hall and needed a quick dinner so I came to Five Guys. Convenience/Speed: 5/10, Food Quality/ Taste: 6/10, Value: 6/10 We ordered two cheeseburgers and some fries and an oreo milkshake. I have been to Five Guys several times in the suburbs so I knew what to expect coming in. If you have never been to Five Guys, the good part of it, is that you can get unlimited topping (grilled mushrooms, onions, sauces...etc) for no extra added cost. The burger is juicy but in my opinion it is too greasy and wet. When you are eating it, the grease is dripping down your arms. I think grease-drip for me is unappetizing, and does not happen at other burger chains like tasty burger, u burger, and shake shack. You leave feeling very greasy and not great. One of the main reasons I am giving a three star review is THE WAIT at Five Guys is too damn long. The restaurant is quite large and only at about 20% capacity and we had to wait more than 20 minutes for a burger and fries. Which is way too long for fast food. The fries are very nutty tasting because they are fried in peanut oil, it can be overpowering sometimes. The milkshake was alright, they real oreas inside. read more

I usually go with a regular old hamburger here. It tastes a little gamier than the average burger though the buns are a bit soggy (prolly the wrapping's fault). I wouldn't scarf more than 2 burgers down in a go though since you are getting 2 patties (if I recall accurately) in one burger and might get acid reflux the following day. Like other Five Guys, they overload your order of fries with more fries (not that there is anything to complain about here). I remember when this place was open in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon Bombing years back and visited then. Not sure how they managed to open when the city was on lockdown and almost everywhere else was closed. I rarely have craving for a hot dog, then I asked my wife who makes a good hot dog, Five guys on Huntington Avenue was the place to go. I know what I had in my mind, a hot dog with a little mustard and ketchup. I waited 2O minutes and when my number was called I already could feel the taste of my first hot in a very long time. It finally arrived to Boston! I tried it today and liked it a lot. Super awesome and friendly stuff and I hope they won't change over time. I really like when I choose to pick my own things for the burger. Since its a new location everything is very clean and they are busy serving tons of Northeastern students. Its a very convenient location and I will come over more often. While at a basketball tournament this weekend ,we decided to check out my old neighborhood on Huntington Ave. While most of the restaurants have turned over in the last 25 years, one big improvement is the Five Guys across from the BU Theater. Where was this when I needed it? If there's a word to describe Five Guys, it's "fresh." Everything is made fresh right in front of you, with locally sourced ingredients. There's even a message on a chalkboard saying where today's potatoes for the fries came from. I had a bacon burger, shared some fries and had a vanilla milkshake. All were fresh, tasty, and fantastic. The burger was delicious, topped with a pile of crispy, tasty bacon. Every burger is made to order from fresh beef and topped with any number of choices. The fries are fresh cut, cooked just right, salty and delicious. The shake was a real treat. A fantastic sweet compliment to everything else. Thick and delicious, perfectly blended, perfection. My first time having Five Guys in the past three or so years, and I was very happy! The burger definitely hit the spot - I love how all of the fillings come with one price, so you can choose either to have a simple burger or one with all of the fixings. Either way, it's quite delicious. The beef patty was well cooked but still tender and moist, and the toppings felt quite fresh. I would say that the flavor of the patty leaned towards the bland side (no complaints from me, though). And two patties for me was a bit too much, I would definitely only order the smaller version next time! Also, beware - the jalapeno peppers are not the typical pickled ones. Rather, they're raw, and very very spicy! I was unprepared for that little surprise. I also asked the server for his recommendation for a milkshake, and he had me order a chocolate peanut butter milkshake with Oreo cookie bits. As someone who typically goes for a boring vanilla or chocolate shake, I was very happy with his recommendation. I enjoy the Five Guys shakes because they're not too melted but also not frozen to the point that you can't drink it through a straw. It was quite sweet, but what do you expect? Oh, I also tried a bit of my friend's fries. To be honest, not the most impressed. They were pretty tasteless and not super exciting. We ran in here to grab food before the Celtics game on friday and was totally suprised to find that our server, Ben, understood and made every effort to make sure we had plenty of time to get there. Thank you Ben! I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger and it was amazing!! The only thing is just ask what "medium" is because mine was a little on the bloody side of "medium". The fries were amazing and they were very accomidating to my brother's particular tastes. The burgers are huge so save room for sure and they are not a small order of fries, just a heads up! I have died & gone to heaven! Finally this Five Guys Location is open! My co workers & I have been waiting since November 2012 for this joint to open! Yes we are that fat! Lol. Today was the grand opening! My co worker & I got there about 10 minutes early, thinking we'd be the first ones & beat the rush. Yeah right! There were plenty of other fatty's waiting in line excitedly for the grand opening as well. 11:00 am - the doors finally opened! We were greeted by an extremely friendly staff. They welcomed us, took pictures, video & someone even shook our hands as we waited in line to order our food. They made us feel like celebrities! Ordered 7 burgers, all cooked perfectly. Not one mistake either with the toppings! Ordered 4 orders of the regular fries. Delicious as usual but some of them were undercooked. I forgive you Five Guys. How could I be mad at you? All in all, this Five Guys is one of the best burger joints in Boston! Everything is always fresh, hot & oh so tasty. Located conveniently near the YMCA, Five Guys is a pretty good place for a quick bite. I would say its not the cheapest option out there, but the quality is not terrible for what you pay for. My favorite part is the unlimited toppings as I always like to load up on all the grilled veggies. I sometimes get fries there as well and you usually get a huge amount but you can definitely see the grease soaking through. I also enjoyed the free peanuts sprinkled throughout the store, so this place definitely isn't for those with any peanut allergies or just doesn't like peanuts in general because it definitely is all around you. Eh, sorry to say, but Five Guys has gone way downhill in the last two years. I remember biting into my first Five Guys all-the-way double bacon cheeseburger in Medford a few years back and just inhaling it. Seriously, I didn't come up for air until it was all in ma bell-ay. And thanks to this new location, I thought I had it made, having a New England In-n-Out so much more accessible to me. However, lately when I've gone back, the burgers just haven't been as good as I remembered. I think it's because they changed the cheese. They used to slather this melty liquid-gold crack-cheese all over their burgers, but now (and I've found this to be true of multiple FG locations), the crack-cheese has been replaced with what appear to be Kraft singles. These just don't cut it, and what's worse, the greasiness of the ground beef is made all the more apparent without the crack mask. I can barely finish one burger without flogging myself for it later. Also, this is probably due to location and novelty, but if there were any more people in this FG location, I'd think I were in Shanghai. I still like Five Guys, don't get my wrong, but I just can't rightfully put it on the same pedestal that I used to. read more

We used to prep the beef into patties in the store. cut the fires the way five guys does now, prep chicken breasts fresh in buttermilk and bread them ourselves ,and into the fryer they went ,to be stored limited times into warmer . Wendy's got far far far away form this model ,of fresh local food made to order ,with quality .They settled for the frozen quick buck high count pump it out business the way of McDonalds. These guys are great. I come here for lunch about once a week, don't judge, and they always remember me! My food is almost always amazing, and those cajun fries!! Only negative, sometimes the grill guy will just kill the burgers. Flipping it a hundred times won't help it cook any faster. Also, squeezing all the juice out of it just makes it dry, and also does not make it cook any faster!! I know Five Guys is a regional chain, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that they deliver a reliable, high-quality product at good value with great employees. Even compared to several pricier (full-service restaurant) options, I think Five Guys would still be declared victorious. The location on Huntington Avenue was very clean, and my order for a cheeseburger with all the toppings was done perfectly, I had my order in hand within 10 minutes. As with other locations, they provide peanuts to snack on while you wait, and really top off the fries before handing you the takeout bag. Five Guys does fries than Tasty Burger or Shake Shack, which I think would be their closest competitors. I believe they're made in store at each location. People seem to have this cult following of In-n-Out and Shake Shack, but I'll take Five Guys over those chains any day. It's the fries that truly separate them from the others! read more

One of my dining companions is apparently a "regular" and they call him by his first name (is this an accolade to be congratulated of? I don't know...), so he was stoked that he got to pop my Five Guys cherry and be there for me to experience the glory that is their comestibles. I got the cheeseburger, the small fries (okay, there are so many fries - probably enough fries to give two small children their weekly intake of sodium - but still, I appreciate the "more is more" mindset), and the vanilla milkshake. In retrospect, this turned out to be more food than I could handle. But with my friend who is a "regular" and another friend who completed her meal ages before I did, I manned up and went on an ingestion journey. Glad to have another food option in the Northeastern area. It's your typical 5 guys... but I didn't see any peanuts like there are at other locations. Is this no longer a thing there? I recommend getting the burger (yes, with both patties) and splitting fries with a friend to make it "healthy." You can order online too! Ordering online may help with the long lines/waits... but I haven't tried it yet. read more
