The meat is just so delicious and juicy and the Cajun fries don't disappoint either. 4 stars instead of 5 only because I feel as though they should charge a little bit less for being a fast food establishment. My favorite and go-to spot for a burger. The burger is always amazing each time I come. It's always juicy and moist that I end up getting the juices all over my fingers but I don't even care because that's when you know it is good. Love how you can get as many toppings as you want. The fries are delicious but a little bit too oily for my liking so I usually only get the burger. Double patty is bomb but too big for me so I usually just get a single patty. I've been meaning to come here for a while but it ended up being a huge letdown. This time dropped in before concert at Symphony hall on the same block. The prices were high so just ended up getting a little burger. The service was quick but the hamburger was not good. Not even remotely in same league as smashburger or bgood which are at similar price points. Will not be returning--overpriced and taste not worth it. read more

The thing about 5 Guys is that it's always decent. Even though I'm from California, I like 5 Guys better than In-n-Out, and this is no exception. Five guys is advertised as open until 10pm, at least in my neighborhood. I'm writing this review for the management team at Five Guys, Huntington, Boston. Please note the rating is not a one because many positive experiences have been enjoyed there before tonight. This evening I walked into the restaurant at 9:40pm. I was halfway to the point of sale when an employee came over and gestured with a finger across his throat. I walked up and asked him what he was trying to say. He said, "we're out of beef, so unless you'd like to order a hot dog...". I honestly forget what he said after that but I can tell you the impression I had is that he wouldn't let me place an order. I don't know if this was a real issue, or if this staff member was speaking for his team that at 9:40pm they all wanted to go home. If the store ran out of beef this staff person should have been at the front door to tell people coming in (there were 6 customers behind me whom I informed on my way out). Also, he should have had a store issued voucher in hand for some type of discount for unserved customers to have an incentive to return. Management, take notice this was handled poorly. The Huntington store is situated in college land. A considered plan for running short on ingredients should be in place. If this was not an actual shortage, the staff in place on 10/01/17 at 9:30 should be reprimanded. read more

Excellent value for money as well, as you get healthy sized burgers even with just one patty and also absurdly generous servings of fries (for regular and large sizes). Are they the best cheeseburger place in town... No. Do they do a decent job? Yes. The burgers are fairly standard. Better than a McDonalds or a Wendys but not as good as a nice hand made patty from a place like the now defunct Charlies. The fry portion is generous and very tasty. Its too bad they don't offer onion rings or other side items like fried pickles. So if you are looking for a burger and fry and have some time to wait (10ish minutes usually) then you'll get a decent meal for about $10 (fry/drink/single pattie). read more

I will try to quickly run through all the problems over my *last two* visits to this location: no cheese on one burger, no pickles on another; charged for two fries instead of one, then made to wait for the entire long line to clear to get a refund; told we'd get the extra fries for free anyway, and then weren't given them; completely forgot to make our milk shakes...more waiting; oh, and then a hair in my burger. I never ever go out of my way to rate a place so low, but I rolled up into Five Guys this evening here in Boston to get a meal after coming from the airport. I'm meeting with some local friends but they'd already eaten so this sounded like the tastiest option. I walked in and there were three guys that walked in behind me. I walked to the counter and was about to place an order when the guy completely ignored me. The guys that walked in after me pointed me out to the cashier working and he literally fanned his hand at me to disregard me as a customer. Once he was done checking out the three people that walked in BEHIND ME, he served me. He had this careless attitude and there was just no friendly customer service whatsoever. Not what I wanted to experience in a restaurant where I generously give my money to back home in Atlanta. Thanks a lot, next time provide friendlier service. Consider yourself lucky you have a job.
