The restaurant refused to honor my Uber Eats order, causing me to waste my entire lunch break driving 15 minutes each way for nothing. After arriving, I discovered they would not fulfill the order. The people who worked there were of no help and provided every limited information as to why they could not honor my order despite me showing them my receipt. To make matters worse, it took the restaurant more than 30 minutes to answer Uber Eats' call to confirm they were refusing the order. As a result, I had to spend even more of my limited lunch break on the phone with Uber Eats just to get confirmation and obtain a refund for food I never received. I've always understood that Five Guys is on the expensive side, and at around $20 for a burger, fries, and a drink, I expect to pay more for a quality experience. Unfortunately, my visit on Sunday evening (around 6:30-7:00 PM) was disappointing. The restaurant wasn't busy. There were only three occupied tables when I arrived, and only two more orders came in while I was there. Despite that, there were seven employees working, yet no one cleaned the dining room during my visit. The tables were dirty, the floors were greasy, and I had to sit at an unclean table to eat. The food was what I'd expect from Five Guys, but the condition of the dining room really took away from the experience. I only stop in occasionally because of the price, usually when I'm craving a Five Guys burger. After this visit, I'm not sure I'll be back. There are simply too many other burger options along the Army Trail Road corridor that offer a cleaner and more inviting dining experience for the same price or less. read more

So they never give ketchup with their GH order. I learned from a different delivery driver that the restaurants don't see that request. I called and asked to please include ketchup. I did get my ketchup, it was covered in sticky syrup at the bottom of the bag. Also where the napkins were placed, the GH drivers do not pack the food - so I know this is the stores issue I call to speak to a manager, not a shift- as a shift is not in charge of any process or procedure. I did get a shift instead and her name was Erica. My favorite part about my conversation with Erica (both of us were polite) - is that she told me she wasn't allowed to tell me the name of her manager. That is sketch AF. In a time where we spend TOO much money on everything, the fact that I am NOT ALLOWED to tell a higher up how it could have been a better experience is insane! I can see they're ranking up the reviews at a solid 3.3, so clearly they don't need any constructive criticism. They're pleasing ALL the people- now I won't attend a Five Guys... I agree with most of the reviews of this place that it is kind of a souped up Wendy's. It you can overlook that analogy this place is worth checking out. They have a very short menu which is fine by me and if you do it well kudos. There are some positives and some negatives of this place that are obvious. The cost is a bit pricey but the food you get is well made and will stuff you. I got the regular burger with the works and the regular fries. I think the little burger and the regular fries would have filled me up but if your going to splurge why not go over the top. The burgers are all fresh and are cooked well done. I don't have an issue with that because the idea of eating raw AKA rare ground beef just doesn't appeal to me. The works comes with the usual fixings plus carmelised onions and mushrooms which add some nice flavor. Besides nacho cheese I'm a sucker for some good house cut fries that are cooked to perfection. All in all a good burger and some great fries but you can find a nice griddled burger at alot of diners for cheaper. The hours are not correct, they never answer the phone, and overall I just don't really understand why they are in business if the only form of contact is going to be people walking in. Prior to submitting this review an alert came up and it said "continue to review during Covid"? They went forward to say that many businesses are doing their best during this time. I'm sorry, but I'm a business owner as well, and this restaurant deserves the review I am placing. They need to stop using Covid as the card for their broken customer service and business hours. Every business has seen some type of a decline / interruption, and majority has also figured out a way to address it, where this place continues to use it as an excuse. This place is as good as it gets. You could spend a lot of money at a fancy 5 star, suit n tie, sit down, with a candle light, waiter server burger but lets be honest. Sometimes you want "fast food" so you are in and out including a very greasy, juicy burger. You want to semi quick and you want to pig out. But then you dont want the typical burger from fast food places like McDonalds or Burger King where there is no moisture but still want a very decent burger. Here comes Five Guys. Its the prefect middle ground. You get a fresh burger, freshly made. You dont have to tip a person. You can go as a simple date or a simple solo dinner/lunch or even a simple meal among friends. You dont have to dress up nicely and yo are in and out fairly quickly. You walk in, the menu is nice and big. Order the normal burger with two patties or a a lil with only one. Get your toppings which is broken into two colors. All the Way (or everything) if you want to simplifity it as the normal burger toppings. Then you can pick your extra if you arent really a picky eater. "Normal" size of fries are always enough to share among 2-4 people since the burgers are so large, not many can eat a burger and that many fries solo. Ive brought some big guys with huge appetites with me and even they always agree in the end.... .... I should of listened to you and only gotten an order of fries instead of getting our own. If you get a drink, they have those Coke Freestyle machines. I think this was one of the first places to have one and I love it. So many different flavors with unlimited combinations plus an area for 4 different iced tea station. My only issue and I am sure everyone does agree.. the price is a little high, but I dont mind paying it. I am not eating here every single day. I am here when I want something casual, a juicy flavorful burger without the typical fast joint places. 3 burgers, fries and 1 drinks came out to 30 bucks so its like paying for a sit down place with a waiter but a little cheaper and you dont have to tip anyone. Five Guys Burgers and Fries is a chain of casual dining eateries that has popped up in Chicagoland over the past few years. This particular location is on Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale. Inside of Five guys is a clean eatery with a handful of tables set up inside along with a coke machine that dispenses a wide array of flavors of various Coca-Cola products. They have a fairly limited menu consisting of Burgers, Fries and hot dogs. In visiting Five Guys I decided to try the hot dog. Now, Five Guys does not sell a Chicago style hot dog exactly, but gives you the option to put whatever you want on the dog. While they didn't have sport peppers, celery salt or long pickle slices I was able to get them to make something resembling a Chicago style hot dog. The hot dog I received came on a soft bun. The dog itself was sliced in half to be wide enough to fit on this larger than normal bun. The mustard was fine, the relish was a bit too sour for a hot dog and the onions are slices up nicely. The problem with this hot dog is the sausage itself. It has an unpleasant taste and reminds me of cheap hot dogs I would use as fishing bait as a child. It has a flavor that almost reminds me of the smell emitted when spraying certain insecticides. While this isn't any sort of a real attempt at a Chicago style hot dog, it's just plain awful. I enjoy burgers and this establishment is usually pretty consistent. the fries are always fried fresh and the burgers are made to order. While I like the fries, I am not craxy about cajun style and they definitely give you too many. The fries fill the cup and they almost always dump some in the bag. As result, I always share the fries with someone else unless I am ordering alone. Also, if you are a peanut fan, you have free peanuts at your disposal. The crew here is super friendly and really hustle to get the orders out fast. My only complaint here and every other location is the size of fries have really been cut back. Before a large and small was almost too much for us and now that same size barely covers the 4 of us. There was always extra fries on top of the cups and now the cups are just mostly filled to the top and never overflowing anymore. Bring back the bigger fry portions! read more

Good food, terrible service. Can't really screw up the burgers and fries so food is great. But there were around 8 people standing behind the counter and we had to wait for the person to come out of the back to take the order. Frustrating waiting there and 8 workers see you yet they all just stand there chatting. Was amusing though watching them make the burger. Was like a union job where one guy cooked the burger, another guy got the bun out, then someone else waiting by the toppings ready for action. The rest of the group I guess was supervising.
