Diana's has a menu with a good variety of food types, From Mexican, American and Greek to who knows what else. As the name suggests it's a hot dog place. However hot dogs seem to be more of a sideline to their packed item choices. Burgers, Dogs, Gyros, Tamales and the list goes on. My most frequent order is either the two dog and fry special or the gyros. Today was the two dogs and fries. Their dogs are Vienna beef brand which is my favorite. They serve this on a steamed bun, I get mine Chicago Style, with all the great garnishes. They wrap the two hot dogs together with a sizable portion of fries and off you go. I don't like how the buns get squashed with this method but this is a common way with hot dog joints. The fries are the medium thickness type and always cooked to perfection fresh to order. This place is a hole-in-the-wall but this type of restaurant typically has great food and this one does as well. The owners, service and employees are over the top friendly. Always very welcoming and polite. I have been going here for many years and plan to continue for many more!

When I order a tamale and you give it to me in a plastic bag marked "microwavable" you get one star for effort. Literally shame on you.

So I was on an architectural survey and wanted something good and local. Since I'm from Columbus,…read morewhere the food can be pretty meh, I figured I'd give this place a shot because the reviews were great. At first, I was disappointed they didn't have Chicago Italian beef. So I asked what they would recommend, and the very polite lady behind the counter said, "You should try my meatball sub." I laughed and told her, "I don't know... my late grandma (100% Italian) made the best meatballs ever, but alright, let's do it." Then she asked, "Do you want peppers?" and of course my reply was, "Heck yeah!" She chuckled. When the sub came out, I have to say, it was huge. I sat down, took one quick smell and a bite... BOOM. I was instantly transported back to my grandma's kitchen, eating Saturday pasta and meatballs. I highly recommend checking this little gem out. The service, the atmosphere, and especially the food were all amazing. I definitely was not disappointed. P.S. Don't skip the desserts -- once again, absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for the memories and the great experience!

Discovered this delightful little gem randomly when my wife looked through the weekly ad packets…read morethat get delivered and she normally tosses out. Not gonna lie, Australians have meat pies as a common food, and I'm not sure why the hell it's not caught on more in the US. Meat+ pastry +small size = amazing. They've a nice big selection of meat pies and rolls, prices were surprisingly reasonable, and their pastries won me over quite easily. (Cinnamon rolls and scones!). I was surprised my kids liked the pies and rolls too. My son's pretty picky (ugh), but he asked for a 2nd sausage roll which was nice to see. Didn't finish it, but even liking it enough to ask for another and eat half is like Xmas come early for us. Flavors and textures are great! Just watch burning your tongue... which I did twice in our visit. Worth it though. Wanted to make sure I post up here since it's a local place opened recently and need it to stick around for a good long time. Only other place to get meat pies is downtown chicago which is annoying to get to.

I've spent some time talking to the owners Brett and Shae and they couldn't possibly be nicer or…read moremore generous! The food is really unique and delicious. I have been back several times. I'm a sucker for the lemon slices, honey joys, and "flagship" sausage rolls (haven't tried the jalapeno and cheese or the others but I will). If you're looking for something different for a meeting or luncheon that will make everyone happy and have them still talking about it weeks later, I'd hit them up for a catering order. Prices are more than reasonable, and to be fair, everyone already knows what they're getting when you bring in the usual green boxes and cups with the same logos on them. Put some sausage rolls, lamingtons, and homemade Aussie scones down on the serving table instead and watch the reactions. They have some vegetarian and vegan options, but you should probably call and talk to them about it because I don't know all the processes and they do bake items with and without meat in the same ovens. Some folks are stricter about their diets than others, so just ask. They'll talk to you about anything, really. They're so outgoing and friendly, you always leave feeling you just hung out with your best friends. It seems like we could all use more of that and I really appreciate them.
