For the food Ordered the Triple burger and regular fries it was seasoned good and was a good smash burger If for the price it's not bad compared to buying a burger meal at McDonald's or Burger King. I arrived at Out Cold on a Sunday early evening. Placing my order was easy, and I didn't wait long. Service was prompt and friendly, Although I'm not a huge fan of the smash style burger, this one may be the best one I have tasted. I had the Double Smash burger and the Knockout fries. The meat was tasty and ample. I loved the toppings and sauce as well. If you order the knockout fries, keep in mind there is easily enough there for two people. I found them unique and delicious. The location is a little tricky - they are in the far southeastern corner of the plaza, facing the side street. I recommend them and would not hesitate to return here. read more

Was excited to finally try this spot out. It's best to order ahead of you can cause the wait can be a bit long depending how busy they are. I ordered the single patty with everything besides pickles and Cajun fries. It's simple but so delicious. The sauce is bomb in my opinion. I love the diced up onion. The patty is thin and has good flavor. Next time, definitely ordering a double and trying their out cold special fries. Definitely worth checking out!! read more

I waited less than 10 minutes for two doubles and an order of fries. I like my fries crispy and small, almost shoestring-like, but my husband does not. He was looking for a longer, softer French fry but our bag did not have them. (More fries for me)! Reasonably priced meal for two doubles and one order or fries, sauce on the side. Out Cold is a new Halal Smashburger spot that just opened in the Schaumburg area a week ago. They are more of a takeout food spot but do have some counters with bar stools to eat at. I loved the graphics found on the menu board and light up sign inside that aligns with the branding. The inside was extremely clean and staff were very friendly. I visited right when they opened at 4pm so I did not experience a line like some have. Upon entry, I was immediately welcomed by staff. I love that they have a refined menu so one isn't overwhelmed with options. I ordered the Double Smashburger (everything but onions) with a side of regular fries. Everything is made fresh to order which always makes it taste that much better. They are still in their "soft opening" stage so be patient because the food is worth it! I personally loved the taste of the burger: soft/buttery bun, good meat to topping ratio, loved the knockout sauce. The fries were fresh and crispy. They offered ketchup packets for the fries as well. The two owners both came out to ask how I liked my food which added a special, intimate touch. They care and want to do well. Overall, this is a great spot! I'm happy a new burger place that is small business joined our area; we needed it! I will certainly be back to order again and want to try the Knockout Fries! I do not like leaving such reviews, but it is what it is. TBH - the more I think about it the less I appreciate the meal. The fries (non-"special") were cold/frozen. Also, it was one of the sloppier burger experiences; greasy and falling apart. I washed my hands twice. Admittedly, I did order ahead of time, so there may be an excuse that I was late, but I wasn't and I ended up waiting 3ish minutes at the counter... not by the cook, but the customer service person. The "KO sauce" seems to be 1000 island dressing (Big Mac anyone?). If not, it's like Vanilla Ice and Queen ;-) I won't be going back. The burgers here are nothing special. I believe the chef here has missed the mark. Grease is not a topping for burgers. Also, I'm not sure what the logic is around their sauce, but I become suspicious when the meat is drowned in a special sauce. A smash burger is about the crust of the meat. A more conservative approach to the toppings would be my suggestion. The knockout fries were not great. Try getting the fries crisp before covering them. I love a lot of toppings on loaded fries, but the fries need to hold their own in the toppings. Just my thoughts. Keep working on improving your offer. Keeping it simple is a great idea, now focus on making those two items the very best. I will try again in a few months and see if there is any improvement. Best of luck! read more

It was busy when we got there you order from a kiosk so I don't think you can pay cash.... we waited 20 minutes for our order but had fun waiting with others making conversation.... got the double patty hubby got the triple. This place is AMAZING! I've had some quality smash burgers over the years and this is on that top tier level. Buttery soft bun, burger cooked perfect, cheese and onions and to the depth of flavor. Fries were all also crispy and cooked perfectly. You have to wait a little bit, but they are making it fresh so it's understandable and worth it. You rated 5 stars for Zahid, which only should get a rating of 0 if possible. You rated Out Cold a 1, because it was packed inside. ***That's a good thing. You go where the line is (that means the food good)*** Again, know how to rate things; otherwise, don't rate it. Now, I was there 4 times in a week, and consistently good, and on point. My favorite burger joint, and I am out of Carol Stream. I have been to almost all Halal burger places in Chicagoland. You always want to go to the place that has the most traffic, and their food is consistently good. Yes, the fries can be a little less salty, and all you have to do is ask them to put less salt. Quality Halal meat, orders take 15-20 mins (for fresh burgers, I am fine with that). Also, they just recently opened up, instead of complaining about them. This place is not bad but I do have my opinions on it. I got the triple cheese burger. They are smash patties, onions, cheese, and pickles and they're "knock out sauce". The burger is very greasy but tastes good. The loaded fries, were toppled with too much cheese and there special sauce. The sauce is sweet and is a bit over powering in the fries. So much cheese sauce I had to stop eating it because the fries were so soggy. I would come back and get the burger on occasion. I really do suggest a change in opening time. 4pm opening time is not serving the city of Schaumburg to its full potential.
