From the outside it doesn't look like much, however, I find the taste consistent with the Vancouver location. Complementary peanuts. There was a bit of a line but it moved smoothly and food was prepped in under 10 minutes. It is a small location, therefore, it is a grab and go situation. read more

One of the top burgers in the area...all the toppings are fresh. Meat is fresh. Love the cajun fries. A regular fry will feed 3 ppl. The soda machine is awesome. Raspberry Coke should be bottled by Coke. Ive never had the milkshakes, my kids say milkshakes are best around. Behind the counter the staff speaks in code which is most likely the secret to the well lubed (with a little grease) operation this store ran with. The order taker does not miss a beat listening at my topping selections and knocking it over to the production guys who take over from there to deliver a brown bag of steamin' hot...burgers and fries. Way better than arches and their imitators...I am a meatarian and the 'small' single fits the bill. If you want a combo or cannot swing the door to get out of ur car...pass FG's and proceed to the M. I wasn't crazy-impressed with the first visit when they first opened....thought I'd give it another go (4/14/13) at 11 am when they first opened. The best thing about the visit was the cashier, who was friendly and communicative with a nice smile and manner. We ordered a reglar fries and two cheeseburgers (singles) with one of them very well done (hey, it is a personal preference for some) and she said they are all well done. Our number (#14) was called in about two minutes and we picked up the food. The buns had been grilled but were very cool to the touch, the meat was gray (not browned) and lukewarm, the mushrooms were OD'd and indeed mush-ey, one burger didn't get the requested mayo, the fries were not piping hot (like you might expect) and kind of sogged out AND the cheese wasn't melted (that speaks to the temperature of the meat. In short, it was a wham-bam "system" burger & fries not worthy of the expense. In addition, the chairs were uncomfortable, the music distractingly loud (I liked the songs, but in an all hard surfaced space at high volume it turns into echo-ey noise. If you are looking for a mediocre meal in an uncomfortable space at a poor value, go to Five Guys Burgers & Fries. I would pick Wendy's ANY day over this experience again. read more

I love 5 guys. Their burgers and fries are great. BUT. Why only 2 stars this evening? Well. I got home high my order of 4 burgers, and only one had anything aside from cheese and bacon on it. One. That's not right. With 5 people in the kitchen, and no one before me or after me in line? Wrong, period. last few times we have gone there everything has gone downhill. burgers are dry, they put very little condiments on the bun so that makes it worse, I watched them cook the burgers and they pressed the heck out of them and anyone that knows how to cook a burger knows that if you do that it presses all the juices out and the patty will be dry. maybe the cooks need to watch some cooking shows or go on u-tube to learn how to make a good burger.......even the pickles were dry and that makes one wonder were they left out all night? and the bacon is always overcooked. have been to other 5 guys and never had the problems they have here, looks like were going to find somewhere else to spend our money. I would like to start off by saying this place gets a lot of hype and I don't know why. They aren't anything amazing or over the top. I only ate here because everyone was insisting that they were the best burger place in existence. If you come here with very high expectations like I did, you'll probably be let down. BUT that being said they are still very delicious. They don't have much on the menu - they rely mostly on selling different toppings for your burger. They have fries and free peanuts both are delicious. They also use good quality products and they are very tasteful. Cool soda machine. Well our first visit to 5 guys was a bit of a let down. We ordered the little cheese burger with fried onions mushrooms lettuce n BBQ sauce. The burger comes wrapped in foil and seemed as though they steam the bun or the burger before serving it making everything a big mess The patty was very nice n tasty, the bun was a thick sesame type like u buy from Fred Meyers lettuce was soft not crunchy . French fries were very good $20 bucks for two soggy burgers n fries with two drinks ? I was told this is like In n out Burger but their is no comparison. First time visit yesterday to this location. The employees were having fun for sure. They took my order very loudly and boisterously. Then, took all the orders of the people behind me in line. I watched and waited for 20 minutes for my cheeseburger and little fries. I had to wait while they made all the orders of everyone in the restaurant at that time. I was sadly disappointed that my burger was cold with unmelted cheese and the fries were not fresh. We wanted a good burger tonight and caved to the hype of Five Guys Burgers over a local place we had not been before. From the moment we walked in the door, it was very disappointing. You could feel the grease in the air in this way too bright, loud, and dirty restaurant. All burgers are wrapped and bagged even dining in. When the burger was unwrapped, it revealed a soggy, crappy bun, neither piece of cheese was melted at all, and it slide apart. The fries were greasy and tasteless that could not be helped with salt, nor drenched in ketchup. The burger was ok, but I could get a better burger at Wendy's - that statement alone should tell the story. If I am going to eat something that is not very good for me, I certainly want to enjoy it. The place is regrettably a "one and done"!!!!! You can certainly take this off your list of places to try. All the reviews that rave about this place just tells me people are out of touch with a good burger. This is just fast food crap. One person called it "like homemade". Are you kidding? Went to 5 Guys on bakerview June 14 with the family (4) ordered our burgers an a large fry when we received our food we noticed the fries were at about half the amount as usual ,so I went up to the counter to see if they would refresh the fries as this has been their custom from looking back through the last few years and as a fact employees would ask do want more fries now it seems they have a new policy to just fill the cup with just a little spill over,I was told no I filled your cup and that was correct where as before the cup would be full and just about as much in spill over and they could not refill New policy with fries and let me tell you I think they have the best fries in town but for the money you spend on them and the fact the burger are good not great that was our last time at 5 guys, sorry 5 guys wendys is a close secound with fries with a better burger we will eat there more often now. read more
