the inside of a fast food restaurant

I was so excited to see this location finally open! The space is big and bright and light. The employees are all very welcoming and greet you as soon as you walk in. Ordering is usually pretty fast and efficient, they know how to keep the line moving especially during busy lunch rushes. If you know Five Guys then you know the quality of food you are getting. Burgers come out cooked well and topped just how you ordered. I gotta say this location has been on point with their fries! I love a crispy fry (there is nothing more disappointing then a soggy under cooked fry) and they have not let me down yet! This location has easily made it into my Five Guys rotation.

It had been a minute since I had visited one of these locatio s, I think mainly because of the price. This restaurant chain is for sure on the higher end when it comes to burger restaurants. You could definitely walk out of here spending more than $20 on one of their combo meals, because they charge for each item separately, as opposed to having a si gle combo price. I thought I would break the cycle of earing healthy for just one day,, and I ordered just the regular original hamburger and for the toppings I requested lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, ketchup and mustard. I ordered from the self-serve kiosk, and my burger was prepared a few minutes later. Instead of fries I grabbed the free peanuts, and it was a good substitute. I am glad that they brought back the free peanuts, because they had disappeared for a while. I counted 11 employees (not 5) helping customers. The restaurant was clean, except for the few peanut shells on the floor!

I normally don't write negative reviews but this store made me angry. This was 9 April, I've been patient waiting for a response from them. It has not happened. I ordered a simple meal- grilled cheese with a patty, grilled onions, fries and soft drink. I get my cup while waiting for my sandwich. I went to the soda machine and chose Fanta. The machine then spit out orange syrup all over me and stained my top. I told the gal behind the counter and showed her- the response: oh sorry. And went about her business gabbing with her go- workers. I said seriously, I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else. She could have cared less. So I took a pic and wrote a letter to the company. I got a quick response, but two things happened- the phone number would not connect and the call dropped numerous times and second, I wrote 2 emails to zero response. I write another complaint wanting my too reimbursed! No one cares enough to even responding. This is a large chain that of course does nothing for the customer even when it's their fault. Ridiculous. With that, I'm out 17.00 for my meal and 30.00 for my ruined top- by the way, Fanta fountain syrup does not wash out. Pretty pathetic. If I could give zero for this franchise, I would. Oh, I was offered a gift card, neat but what about my top that was ruined? Very bad five guys. Very bad.

This place is great. Standard five guys with good food and good service. Love their Coca-Cola freestyle soda machine! If you've never tried a 5 guys do it!! Disclaimer for those with peanut allergies - they do serve peanuts and I believe cook in peanut oil

New Five Guys location in Crystal City! Honestly, pretty typical Five Guys franchise, good burgers, locally sourced food. When I went, they were having issues with their credit card reader and the guy in front of me took a solid 5 minutes just to get his order in. Love the Cajun fries!

I coulda gone to a Starbucks or picked any one of the MANY pastry specialty shops along the way buttttt why would I? LOL. Decent Margarita (learning to say HECK NOOOO to Montezuma ... IYKYK). Super limited HH menu but the chicken skewer I ordered did not disappoint. Would order again. Juicy nuggets (clearly NOT air fried), decent tzatziki sauce, FRESH grilled veggies (albeit no seasoning *sigh*). 25+ beers on tap. Personally, I'm not a beer drinker (besides an occasional Stella or Modelo) buttt 25+ seems pretty impressive to me for a bar this size. Flyers promote stand up comedy events and some more! Sheesh, for the 40 minutes I was there, I can confirm they clearly have a strong presence on King Street. Most def recommending and personally, would most def return ... I'm super curious about the "wurst on a roll" and the rooftop setting (which wasn't open yet). Again, in my 49 minute time frame ... they lost A LOT of business because the roof top was not open. EXCELLENT play list ... YASSS to the late 90's - early 2K rap! In all honesty, this is the reason I gave them 4 stars. Alright, Body on Me (Nelly, Ashanti & Akon) is blaring ... gotta go pretend I can sing. When you come, share which beer, HH snack or entree YOU ordered and tell them you saw it on Yelp!

There was an event going on so the downstairs dining area was full, and our only option was the bar or rooftop. We decided on the rooftop, which would've been super fun on a warm spring or summer night. It really was beautiful up there. But, it was cold and had been raining, so it was a bit of a bummer we couldn't be comfortable at a table inside. I figured I could get past being cold if the food was at least good, but the pretzel was dry and hard. They didn't offer beer cheese which was a bummer, so I tried queso and buffalo chicken dips. The dips were yummy despite the lame pretzel. The cherry on top was that the service sucked. The guy working the rooftop bar seemed miserable, like he would've rather been anywhere else. He was rude and snarky when we asked questions about the menu and made us feel like an inconvenience when we asked for to-go boxes. We will not be back.

There was a decent chunk of the fridge for already prepared food for grab and go. Might need a little more direction for the front of house workers. Actively sitting down during their shift, delaying and using people's time to just sit on their phones at the front door. Might not be the greatest look as a business owner. Ordered chicken salad sandwich (4.5/5) but said no tomatoes, registered on receipt no tomato, had to pull tomatoes off the sandwich. Chicken had an Indian marsala taste to it, very flavorful and delicious. I had the chicken cordon blue Sammie and was overall a 5/5! Great sauce with a lil mustard zing. I ordered the roadhouse burgers with a side of fries. It took them a while to prepare my food. It was about 30 minutes. There were a lot of fries and they were pretty good. The burger was ok. It was luke warm at best and the bacon was a bit over-chewy. It did have a lot of flavor though and was not the worse burger I have had. I just could have been better. The staff there was friendly and helpful. Even though I may not have liked my burger, i really liked this place and the varierty they have. I hope to make it back here soon.

The visit was unique, the story is unique and the food is unique! Let's do this! Established in 1950 or 1954 (reports vary but the sign on the building says 1954), Weenie Beenie was a modest hot dog stand serving hot dogs and beans. It was started by two brothers, Carl and Bill Staton. Bill happened to be an incredible and ultimately famous traveling pool player who went by the name... you guessed it... Weenie Beenie! He won 27k in Arkansas (which is a LOT of money in the 1950's) and used the money to finance the hot dog stand's growth! He appeared on television, played hustlers across the country, and backed other hustlers while living the pool and entrepreneur life. During the 50's, a period of entrenched segregation in Virginia, Weenie Beenie distinguished itself by hiring black employees on the same terms as whites when most white‑owned businesses would not hire blacks at all. This made Weenie Beenie a rare example of early workplace integration in Arlington and a meaningful employer within the historically Black Green Valley community. Its reputation for fairness became a very important part of its legacy, remembered along with the food and its very colorful founder. We popped over and found a 70+ year old walk-up stand with a colorful, diverse and engaging set of customers and friendly service. In faded letters on the front wall to the left are the 10 commandments! No breaking any divine rules at Weenie Beenie's! We all chatted and I learned the one guy comes every day! The old man in the suit was very polite and reserved. The younger Latin and black clientele were fun and engaging and we joked around quite a bit. Another older man was as 38-year veteran of the armed service! Thank you sir! I heard some stories... Of course, we ordered half-smokes! They are well-seasoned half-pork, half beef, smoked sausages that are truly incredible. Weenie Beenie's are unique and delicious! Life is good with a historic, unique, fun and respectful half smoke.
