It's been over two weeks and corporate has not called me back. The store manager told me to drive in for a full refund. They have increased prices across the board several times over the past few years. As a regular at this location, Five guys needs to work on their food quality if the price hikes are going to continue. - Half the time the fries are either overcooked (extremely brown) or too salty. - I once opted for a bunless burger which meant lettuce wrap and regretted it. The whole thing was drowning in liquid (they must've used previously frozen veggies or had just washed the lettuce or something). Terrible customer service experience. I ordered a BLT, and the person on the grill had a bad attitude, repeatedly saying, "the bacon's going to take a while." When I asked how long, he couldn't give me an answer and responded with more attitude, so I decided to get a refund. My partner waited around 15 minutes for his food, which turned out to be mediocre. This location is awesome! As soon as I walked in the door, I was asked if I was picking up an online order (I was) and was told it was working and she immediately started on my double stuff Oreo milkshake. I'd only just placed my order in my car once I got there to eliminate as much wait time as possible so they were moving fast! I was handed my shake, grabbed my ketchup and vinegar for my fries and within a few short minutes my name was being called because my order was ready. I've never had a bad burger or fries from any location but what sets this location and its staff apart from others is that they are fast, efficient and work together like a well-oiled machine. About a 2-2.5: Not much of a fan of this particular Five Guys location. Located off of Jefferson Davis Highway, this recently-opened Five Guys serves up the same burgers/hot dogs/milk shake menu as their other counterparts. My go-to is the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with extra bacon, with raw and sauteed onions, mayo, jalapenos, and extra pickles. The toppings are extremely light-handed, and one must have to always go up to ask for extras. The fries are also not fully filled in the cup, so I suggest going for the small sized, as that's the same amount of fries you'll get for the size large (but you'll be paying less!). The Coke machine area is sticky, and some of the table tops are not cleaned up after each seating; space is a little tight, but most take it to-go. I was so excited to see this location finally open! The space is big and bright and light. The employees are all very welcoming and greet you as soon as you walk in. Ordering is usually pretty fast and efficient, they know how to keep the line moving especially during busy lunch rushes. If you know Five Guys then you know the quality of food you are getting. Burgers come out cooked well and topped just how you ordered. I gotta say this location has been on point with their fries! I love a crispy fry (there is nothing more disappointing then a soggy under cooked fry) and they have not let me down yet! This location has easily made it into my Five Guys rotation. read more

It had been a minute since I had visited one of these locatio s, I think mainly because of the price. This restaurant chain is for sure on the higher end when it comes to burger restaurants. You could definitely walk out of here spending more than $20 on one of their combo meals, because they charge for each item separately, as opposed to having a si gle combo price. I thought I would break the cycle of earing healthy for just one day,, and I ordered just the regular original hamburger and for the toppings I requested lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, ketchup and mustard. I ordered from the self-serve kiosk, and my burger was prepared a few minutes later. Instead of fries I grabbed the free peanuts, and it was a good substitute. I am glad that they brought back the free peanuts, because they had disappeared for a while. I counted 11 employees (not 5) helping customers. I normally don't write negative reviews but this store made me angry. This was 9 April, I've been patient waiting for a response from them. It has not happened. I ordered a simple meal- grilled cheese with a patty, grilled onions, fries and soft drink. I get my cup while waiting for my sandwich. I went to the soda machine and chose Fanta. The machine then spit out orange syrup all over me and stained my top. I told the gal behind the counter and showed her- the response: oh sorry. And went about her business gabbing with her go- workers. I said seriously, I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else. She could have cared less. So I took a pic and wrote a letter to the company. I got a quick response, but two things happened- the phone number would not connect and the call dropped numerous times and second, I wrote 2 emails to zero response. I write another complaint wanting my too reimbursed! No one cares enough to even responding. This is a large chain that of course does nothing for the customer even when it's their fault. Ridiculous. With that, I'm out 17.00 for my meal and 30.00 for my ruined top- by the way, Fanta fountain syrup does not wash out. Pretty pathetic. If I could give zero for this franchise, I would. Oh, I was offered a gift card, neat but what about my top that was ruined? Very bad five guys. Very bad. read more

Neither of them saw me watching. As I ate my food outside, I observed a homeless man pick through the trash cans for uneaten food. Suddenly from behind him, a cheery young woman approached. "Excuuse me. Excuuuse me!" She called out. Clearly he was accustomed to being treated as if he were invisible. She had to call to him a fourth time before he realized she was hailing him. He turned, surprised to be being acknowledged. She smiled, extended a stuffed, greasy brown bag, and said "here you go!" Handed it to him and turned away. Taken aback, he muttered a soft, broken "thank ya." She skipped away happily saying "they're nice n hot!" And giggled. The man reached in, pulled out a juicy burger, took a huge bite, then smiled...before shuffling off into the night. I had to tell this story... the kind that restores one's faith in humanity. So I investigated. Her name is Tiffany. She's the manager. And as she bashfully smiled in the face of my praise, all she could say was "we throw away so much food every night! So I gave him my lunch." She smiled and went back to dance cleaning with her team. Tiffany, I hope your bosses read this and give you an award and a raise. Been to this place 100 times, never had issues before covid. Now, they cant sort their process out in this covid period. Relative to cava 30 feet away their service is awful. I have been waiting outside for 40 minutes now and my order said ready for pick up 40 minutes ago. Unacceptable. This has happened multiple times since covid started. Edit: Yea it was just sitting there for 40 minutes and now its cold because they couldnt read. First time here since their opening but not our first at a Five Guys. The quality was per the norm for those that know five guys. Properly staffed so the food came out without any abnormal delay and cooked as order. Now here is why we are writing this. The gentleman at the register had such a large smile and seemed so happy to see me it made me smile. Then the gentleman walking the floor was all smiles and was effusive with his happiness and even asked if everything was ok at our table. Not sure if a manager or not but so refreshing i think we smiled during our whole dine in experience which is saying something with all the caustic and bitter anger we experience daily in our nations politics. Lastly, the crew had someone cleaning tables and the floor no less that three time well there. Well done Five Guys. We will be back just for smiles alone and you have made us remind ourselves to smile more. Your fellow tenants in the building and nearby should take note. Small things matter. read more

I came in here for lunch today and it looks to be like a fairly new restaurant. I've never noticed this location before. I ordered the Big juicy hamburger for around $8. On top of that, I ordered regular real fries from Crap Farms, that cost around $4.60. How did I know where there potatoes fries come from? They have a sign right next to the register which indicates the actual farm. Everything was cool here, the atmosphere, the crew, and definitely the food was awesome! Just can't eat it every day if you wish to avoid a heart attack. One thing that I forgot to mention are the always free peanuts, and I wish I could remember the Spanish name for them. I think I will wait a couple of weeks before I return here just to maintain some type of healthy decorum. read more

Super impressed with this location! Obviously five guys makes the best burgers in town (way better than shake shack) but here in Potomac Yard they just had their grand opening and are 100% committed to customer service. They opened the door for me when I came in, were prompt and friendly at the register, FULLY STAFFED and the person who handed it to me knew who I was didn't just see me as a number. It's obviously clean and amazing I mean it's brand new. This location serves milkshakes. I'm super optimistic. Did I mention free parking! For people that live/work in Crystal City it's a short drive and worth a visit. read more
