Chicken sandwich with lettuce wrap container
    Chelsea A.

Received a free gift for chick-fil-a for attending a wizards game, so I could not resist. I got a chicken sandwich wrapped in lettuce. The lettuce wrap was an extra 20 cents and with tax, I paid a total of $0.22. Service was about 5 minutes from placing the order on the app to picking up. I can't really say much about the interior but I feel like it could be a little bit brighter? It seems dimly lit. I also saw that this location doesn't do delivery so you'll have to pick up your order in store. Something to consider if you don't want to go into the actual store. Food itself was a solid 4/5. I wish that they gave more lettuce for the "bun" or even an option to double up on the lettuce bun. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I continue to receive free offers, why not?

We just landed at DCA and were yearning for CFA, but the CFA in DCA was incredibly busy (long line), so it made more sense to drive here. Service was very quick and the food was fresh and tasty as it always is! Definitely enjoyed it and would return when in the area! There is parallel parking right out front, which you might be lucky enough to grab.

I miss working on the next block. I was here for breakfast and/or lunch almost daily, unless I brown-bagged it. Using the app saves time, especially during the lunchtime rush. Clean store. Correct orders. Food served piping hot. Service always pleasant, despite the crowd. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Who's to say Vegans can't enjoy CFA? The team of employees were friendly while navigating the line of customers amongst the crowd control barriers. This is a busy location. The dining area has three different sections that was kept in a constant clean up manner. Good job on the Restroom upkeep as well. I got my Kale Salad, Waffle Fries, Diet Lemonade & was good to go. Metered parking on the street with nearby lots (some restricted) & garages.

This particular chick fill a in Crystal City ALWAYS pulls me out of a last minute lunch jam when trying to feed employees at work. And during the pandemic its been even more important to get food that isn't intimidating when purchasing for a group. They package my chicken sandwich lunch boxes perfectly. Provide me with everything I need and I've never had any issues with the timeless. The lines are manageable and they have a system for pickup that needs to be recorded and duplicated. Thank you always being consistent!

A good choice for food in Crystal City. I have found that the food at Chick-fil-A is consistently fresh and delicious. This restaurant is no exception to that. Chick Fil A is known for its signature chicken sandwiches, which are made with juicy, tender chicken breast and served on a buttery, toasted bun. There are 12 stores in the DC area. The Crystal City Chick-fil-A location is located in the heart of Arlington, Virginia, just a short distance from the Pentagon and Reagan National Airport. This location is on the west side of of the road and in a storefront facing Crystal Drive. It seemed a fairly busy location. Parking is limited with a few spots out front but not many. It seems to cater to a good amount of foot traffic business. The restaurant's interior was clean and modern. There are a few tables outside and about 5 tables inside and a counter facing the street. The staff was courteous and efficient, providing fast service efficiently on our visit. Just as with other locations, you order, pay, and pickup at the counter. Overall, the Crystal City Chick-fil-A is a great option for guests looking for fast, high-quality food in a welcoming and friendly environment served by friendly staff.

I was in the DC area for the Marine Corps Marathon and stopped in here a couple of times to eat a quick meal. It was a short walk from the Crystal City Metro Station. The first time, I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night where it wasn't very crowded. The second time, I stopped in for lunch on Monday where the place was packed to the gills. Each time it was very easy to skip the line and place my order on their mobile app. Their food was the standard delicious tasting food that we've come to love and expect from Chick-fil-A.

This Black-owned restaurant has built a reputation for serving some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the area, and after one visit, it's easy to understand the hype. The Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich deserves every bit of praise it gets -- perfectly crispy chicken, soft bread, and that sweet/spicy balance that keeps you coming back. The OG Nashville sandwich is another standout if you like heat with real flavor behind it. Their tenders are always juicy, the fries are seasoned well, and the Rooster Sauce should honestly be bottled and sold separately. Breakfast is also severely underrated here. The honey butter biscuit and chicken biscuit are easily some of the best breakfast sandwiches in DC. What I appreciate most is the consistency. The chicken is always fresh, crispy, and cooked to order. Portion sizes are generous, and even online reviewers constantly mention how flavorful the sandwiches are and how the fries alone can feed multiple people. The DMV definitely supports this place for a reason. Reddit threads regularly call it one of the best chicken sandwich spots in DC, with people saying the Honey Butter sandwich is "life changing" and even comparing it favorably against national chains. If you're visiting U Street and craving comfort food done right, Roaming Rooster absolutely deserves a stop.

But honestly, it was worth the wait. I've only ate here once and in the DMV, I've tried three different fried chicken places in the last 30 days and this was easily one of the best ones. Everything here is truly cooked to order unlike those other restaurants that pop everything in the microwave or have it already made and just reheat it for you. Everything was flavorful but I will say for me, the medium wasn't that spicy and the chicken itself didn't have any sauce aside from the condiments added at the end, but I would definitely go again and try something spicier. I got the junior sandwich that came with two chicken breast tenders and that's important to know to because the picture shows an actual chicken breast, but the sandwich comes with only tenders, coleslaw, pickles and their special sauce inside of a brioche bread. The other sandwich I ordered was just the giant version and it had a full chicken breast. I will say that the person taking my order told me the junior sandwich was pretty big which is why I opted to get that one instead of the regular sandwich and in theory if you get it with a drink and eat a whole side of french fries it would be enough but I just wanted the sandwich and I was splitting fries so I was actually still hungry even after having my small sandwich, but it gave me space for ice cream later There are a few tables in the actual restaurant and chairs along the walls but you're lucky if you get a table at this place because it's so packed but also so delicious. I'm not sure if I met the manager or the owner but they're so kind. There was a little boy crying and they came out and brought him some toys to play with. This is truly our neighborhood gem and while I know there are others in the DMV, from what I hear this one is one of the best so check them out.

The chicken was well done and well seasoned, the corn was tasty, and the potatoes were better than what I was expecting. Can't really explain it but they were like roasted and mashed at the same time.. whatever it was it was great! Oh and that sweet orange sauce that they gave me took the chicken to another level. Both times I've ordered the same thing - a quarter dark meat with one side. It comes with basmati rice (which you can sub out for a different side) and a choice of a salad, coleslaw, and corn. I've chosen the coleslaw both times - I find it so unique, with its cabbage and basil-like dressing. Definitely NOT your usual slaw. I will try the corn one of these days, though. On to the chicken - They give you a good amount of chicken and it is very, very juicy. I can't comment about the skin (I don't eat the skin, I take it off...I know to some of you that's a sin!) but my co-workers have previously commented that it is nicely seasoned. They also provide you with a mild barbeque sauce, and today they gave me a new sauce, which was curry-based. It's slightly thicker than the barbeque sauce, which while it has good flavor, is a bit thinner (it complements, not overpowers, the chicken). I alternated between both sauces today. I have to also complement the owner/manager - I had exactly $8 in cash (keep forgetting about the taxes for food trucks!) so he let me go without paying the $.80, that was really nice of him. I'll be sure to give it back to him next time! Overall, a solid, filling meal, and I would return!
