Five Daughters Bakery is not your average donut shop--it's an experience. Their signature 100-layer donuts are the stuff of legend. Imagine a cross between a croissant and a donut, with buttery layers that flake apart perfectly while still being soft and indulgent. For the health-conscious, their paleo donuts are a revelation. Who knew gluten-free and refined sugar-free could taste so good? The care and creativity put into each donut is evident, and it's refreshing to have indulgent options for every lifestyle. The staff is friendly and eager to make recommendations, which is helpful because the choices can be overwhelming (in the best way!). Whether you're stopping in for a quick treat or picking up a box to share, Five Daughters will leave you planning your next visit before you even finish your first bite. Pro Tip: Get there early--these donuts sell out fast, and for good reason. They're worth every calorie and then some! read more

The best donut I ever had! I got the salted caramel apple and my mom got a maple glaze one! They were delicious!!!! Even the staff were amazing! I could not recommend more! read more

We got 4 doughnuts for an after lunch treat. 4 of us shared these doughnuts since we each wanted to try a few different flavors. We got a 100 layer Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Eclair, and Cinnamon Sugar Toast, and one Purist that was a yeasted doughnut. I tasted each one except for the Purist. All were delicious! My favorite was the Cinnamon Toast. It was covered with cinnamon sugar, without being too dry. My least favorite was the Strawberry Shortcake, since it was a bit lacking in strawberry flavor for me. They are a bit expensive but since we were celebrating, they were a lovely treat. The shop is tucked away in the dessert section at the center of Ponce City Market. Service was also great! These are a great way to celebrate a special occasion! read more

This little hidden gem is (and I literally mean hidden in the back of Ponce City Market) heaven on earth. Just the right amount of choices to tempt you, but several flavors have minis so you can try more! The Purist: I tried the mini and this was decent but not one that would lure me back again, like some of the other options. Orange Quinnamon: this was fantastic and reminded me of a favorite dessert of mine, a queenette, very much like a croissant and a sweet roll. Yummy! Blueberry Lemon: my fav of the ones I tried...more like a cake with a tangy and sweet frosting. I was craving more after I finished it! read more

My classmates and I graciously had my professor bring their donuts to class as a sweet little treat. We were able to try a variety of flavors including tiramisu, GF maple bacon, vanilla, confetti, and so many more! They were all good (some a bit too sweet for my liking) and well decorated. Since I haven't had a lot of donuts as a cronut, I thought it was pretty good but could have used some more separation between the layers (maybe more butter?). Since I didn't go myself, I can't attest for the service or the cost but I would certainly go out of my way to try them again given most of them were cronut style. read more

I cannot recommend this bakery enough!! There are options for everyone from vegan, paleo to regular flour and sugar filled donuts! The plain glazed purist 100 layer donut was perfectly sweet and deliciously flaky. The paleo peppermint patty donut was rich, chocolatey and moist. I was surprised at how delicious the paleo donut was. I cannot wait to try more flavors next time! read more

Best Vegan Donuts!!! Love these guys and gals lol they always have good service and fresh

Yummy! My boyfriend surprised me with these tonight, as he's done a few times in the past. He chose s'mores, yeast raised pumpkin spiced latte (filled), and yeast raised Boston cream (filled). Unfortunately, they were out of the latter two, so we got the King Kong and the blueberry lavender instead. These donuts are not like regular donuts--they are special croissant-style "hundred layer donuts." FLAVORS: The s'mores (monthly seasonal flavor) is described as: Infused with graham cracker buttercream, dipped in melted chocolate and topped with house-made marshmallows and crushed graham crackers (contains grass-fed beef gelatin) The King Kong (staple flavor) is described as: Rolled in sugar, infused with vanilla buttercream, topped with maple glaze and candied bacon pieces The blueberry lavender (monthly seasonal flavor) is described as: Infused with blueberry lavender jam, topped with blueberry lavender glaze and a fresh blueberry VERDICT: All three "cronuts" were flavorful and beautiful! Do my be fooled when trying to cut them with a knife. They seem hard and dry, but once you take a bite, you'll discover the opposite. They're very moist. My favorite was probably the blueberry lavender because I'm a huge lavender fan! I love how many fun flavors Five Daughters offers, and look forward to trying more. read more

Parking: about $2per hr, use the ParkMobile app to be able to monitor & add additional time Location: Ponce City Market (inside) Price: $2.75-$5.35 moderate Customer Service was GREAT the young man who was working greeted us, was friendly & answered all the questions that I was asking. MOST IMPORTANT TO ME was where are the donuts made & how often are they delivered? They are made in TN & delivered daily. Now I luv some good sweets but I definitely try to stay away from them, however, this place here these donuts look AMAZING. It is in a corner located inside of Ponce City Market, and I would've missed it if it wasn't for my Elite Yelp Sister and Food Vlogger Brandi you can find her on TikTok:thehungryfashionistaatl or IG:the_hungry_fashionista_atl I ordered the Mini Purist which reminded me of a French Cruller but not as sweet or crispy, it wasn't too sweet it was just right for me as I don't like my desserts to be extra sweet. The donut was flaky, moist, it had a nice texture & the icing was just right not too sweet. The Vanilla Creme surprised me when I cut it & the Butter Creme gushed out, I was not expecting that at all. The Creme on top & inside was flavorful & wasn't the sweet icing it was nice smooth, creamy & with the perfect amount of sweetness. The young man who was working there said they normally carry a few more mini options but it was around 830pmish when I arrived, so it was late. I'm giving them 4 because the selection was minimal due to the time I went. I will definitely be returning for some more treats read more

After working out at the forum, my friend bought me here to get a treat. I was happy to learn this was a black owned business, and I was proud to support it. There were so many delicious options to choose from. When I saw bacon, I immediately chose the King Kong cronut. My friend ordered the mini cinnamon cream cronut. Although they were both good, they were just too sweet for me. Glad I was able to try it and support though. read more

I was in Ponce Market and Heard a lot of good things about Five Daughters Bakery. I got three donuts: Mini Purist, Chocolate Sea Salt, and Cinnamon Cream Cheese. Overall the flavor was good but the two 100 layered missed the mark. The Chocolate Sea Salt could do without the filling in the middle. The Cinnamon Cream Cheese was too sweet and there was a lot of icing on the top. The Mini Purist was the favorite. I want to try the normal Purist next time! The service was good! There was once young man that was taking orders and getting donuts. He did a good job handling the customers and the line. If you like donuts I would check Five Daughters out! read more

If you're looking to satisfy a sweet craving while at PCM, definitely stop by Five Daughters for a donut! Every donut I've ever tried has been so delicious and oftentimes really unique too. The donuts are not overly sweet as sometimes donuts are just sugar bombs. Five Daughters donuts are flavorful, flaky and a great treat to share or for yourself. My husband and I shared the gingerbread latte and sugar cookie donuts and both were great! The people working always have a smile on their face and give great recommendations too! It's sort of tucked in the back a little but definitely worth it! read more

Ordered Five Daughters Bakery for delivery. It. Was. Fantastic!!! They have very unique 100 layer donuts and it was fascinating to learn how they're made and even more amazing to eat them. One of my favorite things about FD is that they have mini versions of some of their regular donuts! My absolute favorite was the summer berry crisp, but every donut was delicious. They are extremely fresh, fluffy, and flavorful. We only ordered 5 mini donuts, but they were sweet enough to send us 6! The only donut we didn't love was the apple fritter. It was a little too thick for us. Overall, they are doing a fantastic job and I wish they were up here job the northeast! read more

Hands down my favorite donuts! And how can you not love five daughters? It's croissants and it's donuts - the best of both worlds. My favorite (after sampling quite a few, but not all the donuts) is the purists. The most "basic" donut they offer. My only minor complain is that they always ran out later in the day - especially over the weekend. So go earlier if you want a good variety. Price is a bit expensive, but worth it. read more

Yikes. Really don't understand the hype. Maybe other locations are better if the donuts are baked on site? It's been a long time coming! Five Daughters Bakery has been on my radar for a while. I was at Ponce City Market for the AFWF so decided to go in and grab a few donuts while I had the chance. Like I stated, this location is inside Ponce City Market. Of course, you have to pay for parking. I am not a huge fan of Ponce City Market so for me definitely have to few reasons to go to be in the area. I have been before so walked to the food area. This is where it gets dicey. I walked down the row of food establishments. I did not see Five Daughters. As I was about to leave frustrated, something told me to walk around the corner. What do you know and there it was. Don't ask me for directions cause I couldn't tell ya. Lol! Sheesh. Happy to have found iI. I started browsing the case holding the donuts hostage. Lol! I have read a few reviews and watched Tiktok videos on the 100 layer donuts. I have been eager to try them. My son loves donuts so got a few for us to try. I went with The Purist. Purist is the classic glazed donut. Gotta see if they mastered the basics. Maple Glaze also another simple yet delicious go to. I am a fan of Boston Creme so that was for me. My son loves chocolate so ordered the Brownie Batter for him to try. I also grabbed a Natalie organic strawberry lemonade. It was yummy!! Well, I was driving and excited to try the Boston Creme that wouldn't be shared. I noticed I was a donut short. Forgot to put my Brownie Batter donut in the bag. I was very disappointed. I called to let the sales associate know. He apologized. He offered me a refund and the donut if in the area. I was already half way home about 15 minutes away so declined the donut. I accepted my refund. No way was I going back to pay to park for a donut. And these donuts are not cheap. Average price is $3.50 to $5 per donut. I did get a text notification later showing my credit was processed. Not a fan of dark chocolate. The Boston Creme is a yeast donut with dark chocolate ganache filled with vanilla pastry Creme. I was not a fan of the ganache or creme. It didn't fit with my childhood Bakery Boston Creme from Kentucky. However, if you enjoy dark chocolate you may enjoy this donut. The yeast donut part was good. The donut was large and was expecting more Creme inside. The Purist is a yeast donut covered in vanilla Glaze. Can't go wrong here. Classic donut. Give it a try if you want a classic simple donut. The Maple Glaze looked really good. My son said it was really good. Just right amount of Glaze on top and maple flavor not too overwhelming. Of course, the organic strawberry lemonade was good. Love Natalie's drinks. I would say go to location with free parking or try if already there for another reason. Again, I stumbled across it. It's on the backside not main walk way with other restaurants. It has its only little cozy corner. The donuts are little pricey so grab a few to try. The ones we had were good. Sad my son didn't get to try Brownie Batter but maybe next time. read more

On my way to work, I had a taste for something sweet. I saw this sign for Five Daughters Bakery at their Ponce De Leon Market location, so I swung by. I usually don't like stopping somewhere I haven't been, but I am glad I did. They had so many options to choose from. I was like a kid in a candy store. I was in a hurry running late as usual, so the quick service was important. Not only did I receive quick service, but the apple flavored donut I got was just the thing I needed to quench my sweet tooth. They could tell I was in a hurry, so shout out to the manager and her team for providing me with great customer service and an awesome donut. read more

The complaints I saw beforehand were about parking, pricing, and finding the store. First off, parking is overly ABUNDANT and DOES cost money. But for 2hrs it is only like $5. I don't see that being an issue considering it only gets cheaper from there. Second off, finding the actual store is set on max difficulty without reference. But it's easy if you GO TO THE FOOD COURT. FIND KING OF POPS IN THE MIDDLE. THEN GO BEHIND IT. and there lies the store Finally, the doughnuts are up there in price (avg of $4) but WOW they are worth it. I was scared that the 100 layer doughnuts would be too pastry-ish, but they still have that classic soft doughnut feel with the addition on fantastic infused layers. Also these doughnuts come with some serious FLAVOR, the taste and descriptions match perfectly. Side notes - The donuts are medium in size, not as big as pictures make them look - The quinnamon is more on the pastry side, also not as flavorful - The King Kong is probably the best Maple Bacon I have ever had Overall a 10/10 experience I will definitely come back any time I get a chance! read more

Went to Five Daughters at Ponce City Market, it's hidden on the little dessert section on the main floor. The donuts are ok, they were a little dry. I was excited to find a bakery that has Cronuts, I can usually only get them from Le Donut in Houston TX or Dominique Ansel in Las Vegas. Service was quick and pleasant. I ordered a Purist and a King Kong. They were ok, the Purist was good, didn't care for the King Kong though, frosting was too thick and it was too dense for my liking. Definitely didn't compare to Le Donut or Dominique Ansel, but worth a try and I'll probably go back at some point for a Purist, just wish it was plain. read more

Maple cronut - I didn't know infused meant cream filled. I thought infused was vanilla flavor infused. But it is buttercream filled. Everything is pure sugar sweet. Which I suppose is what a donut typically is. But this is even more so. I could only take 1-2 bites and that was it. It was coated in icing and then dipped in sugar and then buttercream filled. The mini vanilla purist was better. Since it wasn't filled with buttercream. But still very sweet. I would try another mini purist. But other than that... this was too much sweetness for me. read more

Cronut done right. Been to Dominique Ansel Bakery, the creator of cronut, and I prefer these. I do not like pastries that are hard that it scrapes the roof of my mouth. These cronuts were the perfect texture - light, crispy, moist and soft. On top of it all, they offer great flavors and lot of options that has both the icing on top and filling in the middle! My favorites were the triple raspberry and maple glaze. I love jelly filled donuts and raspberry jelly was just perfect, tasted homemade and not overly sweet. Good recommendations by the staff member. I love bacon donuts in general, but did feel like King Kong fell short on the sweet and salty balance and was just sweet. We had bought a basic donut to compare and would definitely stick to cronuts. Five Daughters Bakery has 2 locations. This location is placed in Ponce City Market, behind Lotus Juice shop. The other location is in West Side Provision, little window shop across from Room & Board. read more

Y'all. When I say this is the best baked good I have ever had in my life I am not exaggerating. We were having a Saturday afternoon stroll around Ponce Market and happened to stumble upon this sweet little counter tucked in the back corner. Boy am I glad that we did. There were place markers on the floor to maintain proper social distancing but the person behind my was still breathing down my neck. I will admit, neither my husband or myself noticed the price tags and kind of shot each other a look when we got to the counter and paid almost $10 for 2 donuts. After tasting them, however, I totally get it. They are expensive, don't get me wrong, but they are phenomenal. We opted for the triple raspberry cronut and the lemon icebox cronut. The triple raspberry was my absolute favorite thing on this planet. It was rolled in cinnamon sugar and was so flaky and delicious. The glaze was both sweet and tart. And there was no shortage of the raspberry filling which was much appreciated! Nothing I hate more than a tiny amount of jelly in my jelly donut. The lemon icebox cronut was also really yummy but was no where near the triple raspberry for me. Totally a personal preference. Hubby devoured the lemon one. It ate more creamy than I was anticipating, but if you're in to lemon and don't want a lot of tart this is a great option. I am all tart all the way. I am not sure if I've had a cronut before this, if I had it obviously did not leave a lasting impression. This was absolutely life changing and well worth the 35 minute drive and paid parking. I want to go back this Saturday! Please please please go get some. read more

These bad boys are big and decadent. For me, there was too much sugar, and I preferred the seasonal strawberry lemon shortcake to the chocolate sea salt. I was a little surprised that "infused with" meant that there would be cream on the inside of each doughnut. I didn't love the cream on the inside of the chocolate one, but it was great with the seasonal doughnut. Covid adaptations: they have plexi glass between you and the cashier. Just wow! I love that these donuts are unlike your typical donuts, and there's a wide variety of choices. I will say I had a hard time finding them. They are tucked in the corner inside Ponce City Market. My GPS kept saying I was there when I was outside and got rather frustrated trying to find them. Plus I passed it a number of times. I saw the sign for other sweet places, but somehow missed their sign. Man was I thankful when I finally found them after dripping sweat as it had been a hot day in the A, and I was walking all around outside as well as inside. I was with my sister so we halved all of them and shared. We honestly wanted to try them all lol. The layers that are created in the donuts I think is super neat. Both of our favorite was the guava mascarpone. It was absolutely delicious with the fruitiness of the guava! We also order the purist, King Kong, milk & cookies, vanilla cream, and the Apple fritter. They all were great, but as I mentioned before, the guava mascarpone is where it's at! I'll definitely be back because I know they change out, as well as have seasonal ones. read more
