    Cinnamon Crispy Crunch

I've had Five Daughter's before and am always impressed by their tasty donuts! I got one cinnamon crispy crunch and it was exactly that! Love the layers on the donut, the crispy crumble on top and the sweetness! Definitely recommend if you're a donut lover like me!

I got my first taste of Five Daughters a few years ago around Christmas time at their East Nashville location. My husband and the friends we were with ordered a bunch of different flavors to taste, and we loved pretty much everything--of course with a few favorites that stood out. So, when we found out they were opening a couple of Atlanta locations, we were definitely looking forward to it! We've been to this one many times since they initially opened, and I have to say that we keep coming back whenever we're in the area and pass by because the donuts are decent. But there's just something about these that don't seem to be as good as what we had in Nashville. Flavors tend to sell out quickly, and it seems like the donuts are a little dry if you don't come earlier in the day, especially when it's cold outside. But we also fully acknowledge that this is a walk-up window and the donuts are delivered here from their local kitchen, so we kind of know what to expect with that model as well. Anyway, can't go wrong with the Purist donut, whether the vegan or non-vegan option. The employees are typically kind and helpful if you have questions about flavors. Overall, great business. Also, love the scripture reference on the packaging as well.

Vegan apple fritter & not-quite-vegan birthday cake

VEGAN REVIEW Yay! Happy they have vegan options. Saturday about 2pm they still had 4 flavor options (I hear they sell out). Pro tip: the vegan options are on the lower shelf & have the lavender label. They don't say vegan in the name, but if you read the fine print it says "made with vegan ingredients" below-- you might miss it if you don't look carefully! We got the apple fritter & birthday cake. Fritter was very yeasty (not sure exactly how to describe)-- not dense with the crispy outer crust of a traditional fritter & no glaze. There was only 1 chunk of apple. So that was a bummer. It turns out the birthday cake donut is NOT vegan because the sprinkles have beetle in the dye. Also a bummer. Will try the other vegan flavors when I am in ATL again & update my review! Again, I am SO GRATEFUL they have vegan options... these were not awesome, but I want to try the others The line can be long but it does go fast & the staff are super friendly- not stressed out & crabby

Many highly touted donut shops have been disappointing me lately. Their instagrammable donuts are works of art, but turn out to be excessively doughy, dry, and devoid of enough filling. But I'm happy to say that FIVE DAUGHTERS breaks this trend! Their donuts are delicious! They basically serve multi-textured hybrid "cronuts" that are extremely flaky, light, fresh, and very flavorful. We very much enjoyed the Maple Glaze, Hot Chocolate, White Chocolate Raspberry, Cinnamon Cream Cheese, and Purist flavors. The Maple Glaze is the absolute winner; highly recommended! We were only disappointed with their Boston Cream donut (way too doughy, not enough vanilla custard filling). We'll be coming back very soon!

A friend told me that her favorite donut spot is Five Daughters so I had to check it out. The website notes that they sell croissant style hundred layer donuts. It also notes that the croissant donuts are made fresh every day. This shop is located in Westside Provision. If you see flower child, you need to walk to the stairs in the area and you should run into it on your left. If you are only visiting this spot, there are several 10 min parking spots in front of the shop. I arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing today (Saturday). There were plenty of options to pick from. I ended up going for the chocolate eclair flavor. I opted to eat this in my car. First bite- uhmmmm- I don't get the hype. Second bite- it's dry. Third bite- croissant? Donut? I don't know! Overall the croissant donut was just ok in my book. I honestly would not have to have another one. Now, I must say that my taste buds may just be off because this place has rave reviews. As such, I would recommend giving them a try and judging for yourself! Last, but not least, I do want to mention that the service was an A plus plus!

So glad we stumbled onto this place. It was late in the day but the selection was still good. It's a walk up and while they do have seats in the area on a cool windy day it's not warmer in the vestibule where it's located, just as an fyi. I ordered the lemon strawberry jam donut and it was potentially the best donut I have ever had. I would make a stop here the next time I'm in town!

I absolutely loooove Five Daughters! They have elevated the Cronut dessert to something delectable and visually appealing. I've ordered several of their croissant style donuts and enjoy all of them. My favorite is probably the King Kong, which has a maple syrup topping with pieces of bacon and a light cream filling.

I love their cronuts! So freaking good! Flaky not overly sweet. Perfect dessert bite! If you're ever in the area definitely check them out!

This is a cute little place... you can't even go inside. They have many options of donuts, hundred layer donuts, and a few cookies. Before I visited Atlanta, my friend told me that I should try Five Daughters out, and I'm glad she did! 100% would go again.

Delicious!! These are expensive donuts but man they are worth it. High quality ingredients. Interesting flavors. Delicious flavors. Great customer service. The quinnammon is amazing The raspberry filled was SO filled with amazing fresh raspberry jam. The donuts aren't overly sweet and they use salt which most places lack salt but these are perfect.

Five Daughters Bakery is the absolute best! If you're ever visiting Atlanta or craving a tasty sweet treat, I'd recommend you add this bakery to your list. The donuts not only looks good-- it's so delicious!

Best walk up window I ever happened upon. We were looking for another business that recently closed without our knowing. I look over mid-sulk and see the cronut fairy (pleasant magical lady) in the window. We ask some questions, get some answers and go home with a blueberry lemon curd and the carrot cake. Both were so very good.

Both the vanilla creme donut and carrot cookie were awesome. Soft, flaky, buttery, creamy goodness. We found a bench to sit at outside, luckily it was a nice day out.

We saw some of the really cute things in the window, so we walked in and it did not disappoint. The place was filled with chocolates macaroons and a whole bunch of pastries. You could also order a whole variety of espresso drinks and lattes, etc. It even had a really cute seating area directly outside, but if you could fit yourself inside, there was some bar seating as well. The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I do not have a picture of that because it was eaten before I got a chance to take a picture of it. But everything was so tasty absolute perfection. I don't know who's making this stuff but they are truly talented. I have to come back here again when I'm in Buckhead Village.

The diner itself isn't fancy, and the tables could use some consistent cleaning and clearing. You get plastic tableware and napkins on your own. I like the savory pistachios and the creamy and crumbly coconut cream. - Chocolate Chip Cookie: This was such a delicious cookie! Perfectly made in between soft and firm and textures. The sea salt on top was chef's kiss. The lines move pretty fast. There's nowhere to sit and lounge, so you would need to take these pastries elsewhere to enjoy. The staff is also really nice and patient when my friend and I were trying to decide on pastries. Overall, I think these pastries would do good in an air fryer/oven. I would come back, but bring the pastries home to warm and crisp them up a bit. I also really want to try their burger which is only sold on the weekend at certain times!

I called in the morning to confirm the time they serve it. I was told to get here by 12:30pm because they serve the burgers at 1pm and the line gets long and they run out. Found out later in line from the person in front of me that they make 130-170 burgers and they sell them all. That's a lot of burgers. I thought it was all hype because I got there at 12:20pm and there was no line. I went in and asked to make sure this was the right place, the guy said to wait outside, they start selling it at 1pm. I was 1st in line. Waited 5 mins then went to my car to get my headphones. By the time I came back, 3 people were now in front of me. I guess the 12:30pm recommendation was valid. By 12:35pm there were 20 people behind me. I do not like waiting, so I'm glad I was early to at least be served 1st. Never been here before, they are busy. When I got here, it was packed with people buying bread and pastries inside. I didn't get to buy the sourdough bread. It was sold out. Apparently, the locals come every Sunday for this burger. I guess they hang a burger flag out when it's burger time some of the people in the line in front of me felt a way that they didn't do that this time. I guess they're getting comfortable and just trying to knock the rush/crowd out. I think coming at one would be fine if they're selling 170 burgers I think the problem is they don't limit the amount of burgers you can buy. At least I don't think so. Now for this burger. Not worth it. Not worth the wait or the hype. I'm still surprised how basic tasted. They need a housemate sauce or something on it. It's literally just one burger and pickles. If it was pack full of flavor and well seasoned, that would be enough. But it's not. The best part about it is the bun. And 30mins after eating the burger, I didn't feel so good. My stomach started hurting, and that was the only thing I ate all day. I avoid eating beef altogether, but I will here and there as of late. My boyfriend eats beef, but he started feeling sick maybe an hour later as well. I was disappointed because I didn't know they pre-make the burgers and just throw them in the bag. You can't customize it or anything. I think we got sick because the burgers were medium. They were not cooked well, and I always get beef burgers cooked all the way through. The way they're rushing you out of there like an express assembly line is crazy. I really wanted to wait to ask them to prepare me two, made well since they were making burgers as they were going along, I believe. I would have waited to have them made well but the way they were rushing you out, it just wasn't the place to ask for anything extra or additional and I don't like places like that. Too strict too many rules and you don't feel comfortable. Even though you're spending $70 on 2 burgers and some pastries. Compared to a pack of ground beef to make your own burgers, this is a lot. I bought two burgers $17 each, and 5 pastries to try because I won't be coming back here anytime soon. I will say, great pastry selection. I was talking to a guy in line and I asked him if he ever had the kouign amann. It looked good. He said yes, it was good, and the chocolate kouign amann, he's going to try as well. I purchased a chocolate kouign amann, a regular kouign amann, cardamom bun, a hazelnut bun, and monkey bread. I wrote everything down outside that I was going to buy so I didn't waste any time. I already spotted the monkey bread when I walked in. The woman packaging up the food was about to fix her face to say they didn't have any monkey bread, when they were clearly at the other end. Maybe that was her doing me a favor because I was highly disappointed in the monkey bread. I'm on a monkey bread kick, and I have been trying it at a lot of places. This one was not good. They sprinkle lemon zest on it, which kind of threw me off, and the bread itself was very dry even after warming it up, adding melted butter and honey. It still was not good. The best thing was the original kouign amann. The chocolate one was not good because they have chocolate on the inside kind of like moose or ganache, but it was overwhelming. It tasted like dark cocoa chocolate, and I thought the pastry was dark because the whole thing was chocolate, but it actually was burnt. A lot of the items looked burnt to be honest. I think the demand is getting to this place. The cardamom bun was just ok. The hazelnut bun was just an extension of the monkey bread to me. Not a fan. I remember growing up, we went to the local butcher and bakery to get fresh meat, bread, and pastries for cheap. I like the idea of a local bakery and butcher shop like this, but this place is not cheap. I'd skip this one.

For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!
