I came here as soon as they opened. I lovvveeee how there are just ducks everywhere. So organized and all. I feel the donut flavor's definitely make you have a sit and think for a good minute because there are so many! Haha. But I love how the donuts are soo fresh and hot. This was our first time coming to duck donuts, and I did not realize that they make all of their garments fresh and serve them hot. You pick from the flavor menu and they put the toppings on the warm doughnut and then you get to enjoy them immediately. The donut flavors were all very good but of the three that we tried, piña colada, French, toast, and blueberry pancake, the blueberry pancake was definitely my favorite. The staff were all very friendly and took the time to recommend different flavors and see if we have any questions. The best part about duck donuts is that the donuts are hot and fresh. The donuts are light and airy with a slightly crispy outside. We ordered the following flavors: Peanut butter paradise, maple bacon, chocolate explosion, midnight madness, bacon in the sun, and sunrise. I love their maple bacon and the bacon in the sun just adds a caramel drizzle on top. Can't go wrong there! Sunrise has a lemon icing with a raspberry drizzle and was the perfect combination. Stopped by today for a dozen assorted donuts (TGTG). They were ready and waiting when I arrived and the associate was very friendly. I knew I'd be getting an assortment of their choice, and I was pleased to find that there was only one repeated flavor. The basic set up is that all of the donuts are the same base vanilla cake donut and you can choose various icings and toppings. It's a fun concept if you like to build your own and customize flavors. The cashier took orders and made drinks as quickly as he could. I may have waited 7-8 minutes for my order, from the time I walked in, waited in line, placed my order and received it. I decided to go with the sausage, egg and cheese on a donut with maple drizzle, and bacon sprinkled on top! Y'all!!!!! Just get it, (if your into bacon)!!! I bet this sandwich can brighten up any gloomy morning, instantly! The donut (not overly sweet) sausage patty, egg and cheese were warm, and the maple drizzle that they drizzle on top was just enough, not to need syrup, jam or jelly. I enjoyed every bite!! My gf wanted to check it out and I'm just a lover of donuts. It's located in the Kohl's shopping center next to Mierkos and Chipotle. They have a very large variety of options here, and they use fresh donuts. The best part is they also make your order right there, so no worries of having a day or two day old donut. You can watch them do the toppings and everything. Loved the cheesecake line they offered, plus the powdered sugar and the chocolate caramel crunch. So freaking fresh and moist! We also ordered breakfast sammies. I got the bacon/egg/cheese on English muffin, which was ok. My gf got one on a donut and I surely made the wrong choice. However, if you're coming here, STICK with the donuts! These are certainly worth the money! The only issue we had is that they messed up our order. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they do taste a bit like funnel cake, and for me, the less oily tasting a donut, the better. Duck Donuts is really good for cake doughnuts with creative and custom toppings made to order. If you're looking for a traditional doughnut shop with rows of premade options, this is not your choice. There are no classic yeast doughnuts here. Duck is also an experience. It's especially fun for kids to watch the doughnuts being made and to make their own custom creations. They have cute rubber duckies my kids enjoy looking at and talking about. The size is perfect to eat 2 if you want to try some variety. The doughnuts are definitely best fresh and warm, but they are still good the next day. I'm really digging the chocolate cake they're doing for a limited time and hope they keep it up! So the really cool thing about this place is you can essentially make your own donuts. They have the base made and you can choose your own coating, topping, and drizzle in any combination which gives you a large amount of options. I don't know any other donut shop where you get this option. Other shops you walk in and what they have made for the day is what you get. If that is what you like, then they have some standard options you can choose from.  I feel like I needed to study for an hour to come up with my own donut options for a box so I went with some standard ones. They make them to order so it took a few minutes but was cool to watch. They are given to you hot which I wasn't expecting but was a great touch.  I had little hope that the young teenager was going to make the donuts look like the ones on the sign, but I was sooooo wrong! He looked like he took pride in making those and they were perfect looking.  All of this was a great experience so far, but the proof is in the pudding and I knew this was a great place once I took my first bite! It was so excellent. The donut itself is made with a vanilla batter and every flavor I had was such a perfect compliment. Even flavors I would not have guessed that I would have liked, I loved like the lemon raspberry and even simple ones like powdered sugar are better than you have had before. What a great donut shop! I came in very excited to try the new donut shop! I was not disappointed. I have never heard of a make-your-own donut shop until today. What a creative idea! You can order custom toppings, icing, and whatever you want! They also have a menu of types of donuts you can order if you don't know what to pick. I will admit that it is overwhelming to decide what topping you want, there are so many to chose from! I ended up going with the Cinnamon Sugar donut! The prices are very reasonable. Overall...so delicious!! My sister and I went out for lunch when we noticed a new donuts shop right next to Mirkos. We decided to stop by and see what kind of place it was. It's not your typical donuts shop where the donuts are already decorated and just having to be boxed up for you. Service: our cashier, Jakob, was friendly and sweet! He told us they had just opened the other day (7/13). He didn't rush us or anything as my sister and I figured out what to get. We decided on getting 1/2 dozen and just testing the waters. I liked how when the donuts were done being made, they asked if it looked alright before closing the warm box with the lid. It's a small gesture, but I really appreciated it. Food: they have an open area with a glass panel so that customers can see their donuts being made right when you order it. In the back, you see the automated machine that cooks the donut and rolls it onto a large basin with all the other freshly made donuts. Workers just pluck them up and start decorating them as the orders are sent in. I was a little nervous as it was stated on the menu that it's all vanilla cake donuts as the base. Flavors differ by what type of icing and topping you choose. I personally have always had very dry dense cake donuts that were just okay. Here, it's a nice crispy outside and a light fluffy inside. So surprising! Not too overly sweet depending on what toppings you decide. You can get the donuts from the menu that already have their predetermined toppings, but you can also customize your own with whatever toppings you want! 5/5 - will be back and I will be bringing friends and family. Very impressed with the donuts and how friendly the staff are! It's only their first few days of being opened and I think the staff is still getting used to having to deal with rushes so just bear with them. Duck donuts isn't like tradition donut places in the sense it's made to order with tons of flavor variations to choose from. I think the donuts are good but to me they are very similar to funnel cakes. So if you're looking for yeast, cake, or brioche donuts you won't find those here. You can tell they use artificial flavors to sweeten it up. Which isn't necessarily bad, it's just not gonna be fresh blueberries for example if you order the blueberry donut. So for me they were good, I just wouldn't say they were donuts I prefer. But I always recommend people who haven't tried them to give them a shot! read more

The very first thing that hits you if you know nothing about Duck Doughnuts is that there are no premade doughnuts NONE! So you wonder what the heck? You place a 3 part order and buckle up because here it is: 1. Start with a Coating. Bare, Cinnamon Sugar, Powdered Sugar, Glazed, Icing: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Maple, Lemon, Blueberry 2. Pick a Topping. Sprinkles: Rainbow & Chocolate, Graham Cracker, Chopped Peanuts, Chopped Bacon, Shredded Coconut, Oreos® 3. Choose a Drizzle. Hot Fudge, Marshmallow, Salted Caramel, Raspberry So there are literally 1 Trillion different combinations of doughnuts to create. Which is a good thing because I'll be dead and gone before I start back through the combinations again. OK lets get to the beginning you order the doughnuts and they make them from scratch and I mean from dough to fryer to coating, topping, drizzle and they're not shy about the amount of any of the aforementioned 3 they provide. After I got my 2 boxes and I originally went in for 1 but I have doughnut aficionado neighbors as well. I almost felt bad eating them.........almost they looked like little works of art. We had about a 10 minute ride back home and when I opened the box the one I picked a maple glazed caramel without the insulin pump (I'm not sure that is an option) was still warm, cake like consistency and made my taste buds say DUDE! Where the heck has this been? So in closing I am officially saying good bye to Krispy Kreme deleting my rewards app from my phone..... yeah they have one of those and will drive by Dunkin to get doughnuts in the future from this place. The donuts are good - they were better when this place first opened but lately they seem a little more dry. I like the choices and customization and it's a pretty good value. The service is generally good on most visits but they don't seem to handle things as well if there's a moderate crowd. On my recent visit, they didn't have a clear and consistent manner of attending to customers as they entered and it seemed a little chaotic behind the counter and an abundance of employees - perhaps too many without clear roles. They have many many toppings available, so you can customize them however you want. They also have a seasonal rotation of selective so you won't get bored with their menus. First time visiting. It's located in a large shopping center so parking is abundant. The inside is nice and they have little menus for visitors if you don't know what you want. You can create your own donut or order one off the menu. These were the best donuts I've had in a long time! Each one of them had a unique flavor and were so damn fresh!
